Lake house vacation rentals in Rend Lake

Stop looking for a place. This is the one. For a large group up to (12) I give this place all FIVE stars. My family was extremely happy. We received a home that was so loving spacious and just right for our needs as my son graduated from college. It was ten of us and it was so much space and comfort that we had no run-ins with each other. The hot tub and pool were everything. Wish we had more time outside of a weekend to experience everything but we spent so much time out. Thank you Al for your help and Rhonda, for great communication during this process.

fantastic place as always

Jara's home was perfect for our family reunion. The home was very spacious for our family of 9. Even though the weather wasn't amazing; it was a perfect space for watching movies, playing boardgames, and cooking up yummy food. When the weather did perk up we were able to make use of the private beach, the lily pad, and the kayak. The lake was peaceful, and we were even able to spot some turtles. We had an issue of cleanliness from a previous guest, but Jara and her family were INCREDIBLY responsive and accommodating to the concern. Overall, it was a great stay!

We had a shorter than expected stay due to the layout—the second bedroom could only be accessed via a private exterior entrance, with no interior access to the main house. This setup wasn’t ideal for our family since we were traveling with children, and it’s something other families should be aware of. The listing description wasn’t quite clear on this point. That said, Adrian was very responsive and understanding. She quickly adjusted our reservation to just one night and issued a refund promptly, which we really appreciated. The home itself is tastefully decorated and well stocked, and the welcome gift basket was a thoughtful touch. If it was just my husband and myself traveling, we would consider staying at this location again.

JR was quick to respond and friendly. We went there for a fishing trip and it did not disappoint. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Could easily do 6 people. The porch swing was really comfortable sitting on at night enjoying lake life. The covered pier was awesome! Electric to plug in our boats, lighted and a nice little fish cleaning station. It was a great deal and we hope to go back again soon!!

When fishing Lake of Egypt there is not a better place to use than Josh's. The amenities are great and the fishing was even better. The boat docks are great for leaving your rig tied overnight and shielding from the rain. The WiFi and TV worked flawlessly and Josh/Melinda are both extremely responsive to all questions. Can't wait to go again and will use this as our 'goto' rental for LOE. Thanks Josh and Melinda!

Claire’s place at raum was fantastic. 100% better than we expected. Super clean set up wonderful for our mid size group. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this location! Kris was an awesome host-super responsive to any question or need that came about. We have stayed at several locations on Lake of Egypt and we would definitely stay here again. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean and homey. However, a couple important things to note for potential renters: 1) steps leading down to the dock are narrow and steep. Would not recommend this for anyone with balance/joint issues. 2) Water off of the dock is shallow. We were able to get our pontoon in/out without issues, however caution is needed with swimming.

Had a great stay with family during SIUC Graduation weekend. Enjoyed being able to get outside, explore around the lake, do some light fishing and have a few campfires. Deck was an ideal hang out location and the house worked great for us. Thank you!

We've stayed at several places on Lake of Egypt and this was one of the best! Very spacious, great location, very well stocked! Some Airbnbs don't provide enough of the basics like toilet paper, but this home was very well stocked with more than we could have hoped for (even body wash, shampoo and conditioner, if needed). Great view and easy access by car or boat.

Tim’s place is peaceful and a reasonable distance from Kinkaid Lake. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings and amenities provided.

Affordable and close to everything! Host was very communicative!

We were looking for a location to spend a relaxing weekend and Kathy’s home was the perfect location. We enjoyed the peaceful setting despite not being too far off the beaten path. Kathy was very responsive to the small issues that came up during our stay and seemed genuinely concerned that our stay met our expectations. It felt a like a real country farmhouse if that is what you are looking for.

Easy to write a positive review about Shelley's place. Was good size for two people, yet not too small. Kitchen was modern and easy to use, complete with any "tools" that were needed to make life comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, but with plenty of birdsong and, amazingly, even occasional deer wandering past! Off-street parking was good. Overall, we don't want to make this sound as great as it was because we hope to return (Joke). Shelly herself was very kind and so helpful and reachable. Highly recommend!

This house was perfect for our group of six for a girls wknd getaway! Host was easy to communicate with & also let us check in early which was a huge plus, in addition to the complimentary coffee! We hope to return in the future. Thank you!
