Great property. Owners left great instructions, and the house was private. The deer were an added bonus with the hot tub. Will be back for the winter. 5 Stars

We had an incredibly relaxing, peaceful, quiet getaway. The house is more than enough space for 2 people, well stocked kitchen, amazing scenery. Beautiful Mountain View’s, screened in porch, super serene.

Great place for a larger group!

This was a great affordable option for our multi-family vacation with a wide range of ages (adults, teens and toddlers). The separate living rooms were nice when our group wanted to participate in different activities. Everything was clean and stocked. When we had questions, Jeff was quick to respond and provided helpful information. We also enjoyed using the Massanutten Resort's amenities (pickleball courts, rec center, etc.) We loved our stay!

I needed a place that my family, from out of state, could stay while attending a graduation. The house was perfect! I told Bob what I wanted to do and he was encouraging and helpful. He made sure we had propane for grilling and answered all my questions. He was very prompt when I reached out to him. We had an amazing time. I would stay there again.

Our family of four spent two nights at Callie's Cottage. We had a great time enjoying the trails, fishing the pond, and watching the horses. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the treehouse. The house was cozy, clean and well appointed.

Wonderful! Such a great space for families traveling with kids! Excellent location and a nice view from the front porch. Thomas was so accommodating! I highly recommend a stay when visiting Luray!

My husband and grown children told me this was the best place we ever stayed. It made me wanna offer to buy the place and uproot my life. It's in the country with amazing panoramic views. The hosts were quick to answer and very accommodating. I can't wait to go back!

It’s a very cute house, we really enjoyed our stay. We had no cell service but there is WiFi so it all worked out great! It’s the woods so there are some bugs inside but nothing too bad. It’s a great place, easy to get to as well. I’d definitely stay here again!

An amazing retreat with incredible views of the mountains right off the deck & from almost every window. The scenery was breathtaking having 10 private acres to explore we hiked the woods right outside the door, local wildlife was a treat to spot. Spent the evening in a relaxing hot tub & by the firepit it was the perfect spot to watch the stars. We saw both the Sunset & the Sunrise from the Hot Tub, it was spectacular. The house is large with lots of space yet cozy for just 2 of us, it was perfectly appointed, with a log fire, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking to unplug and connect with nature we were looking for a place for a family reunion later this year it is perfect for large parties. Lots of beds & bathrooms all of a high standard. The new Porch was lovely surprise for morning coffee looking at that view. We are still reeling from the experience. 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 if I could!

The Sun Dancer Lodge has the most wonderful views! Not hard to find, yet so quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room and Darden was a responsive and helpful host! We'll look to come back next year!

We had a very nice stay over a long weekend. The place was a good landing pad for visiting Massanutten, about 15 minutes away.

Breathtakingly beautiful! You'll feel like the mountain is your own. It was JMU grad weekend so everything was overpriced but we wanted to be outside of the Harrisonburg hassle and succeeded! The mountain climb was a concentrated low gear for the last half mile and driveway especially, but the house was a beautiful retreat. We played games and sat on that great deck at all times of day. We found really interesting things to do like hike up to the Endless Caverns sign!! I missed the fact that the top bedrooms have to use the full bath on the middle level and the stairs and railings are a little precarious. Overall a wonderful find!

Both Pam and Ashley were fantastic, lots of valuable information, very attentive. The house was fantastic, well furnished, and well stocked with a full kitchen, games, books.. Awesome views of the river, donkeys, peacocks and trains! House was super clean. A nice basket of goodies was left for us and a wonderful personal note when we arrived. Everything was perfect. I would go again. Thank you Pam and Ashley for making our JMU graduation weekend unforgettable!

Great stay for our family vacation! The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The house was very well stocked and prepared for guests. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, kitchen very well stocked and clean. We had a lot of fun utilizing the game room! Would definitely stay here again when in the area!

very friendly host and very engaging, warm space. enjoyed several amenities and was very easy to get settled in. although they're are plenty of bathrooms, keep in mind 2 of them are stationed in the game room. snacks aren't free, although they did provide free one for valentine. Host were very accommodating and communicative and great host.

Nancy’s place was perfect for our one night stay before exploring Shenandoah National Park. The cabin had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and was extremely clean. Thank you Nancy for a great stay!

This home is an incredible find. It has a great location, convenient parking, walking distance to restaurants and very friendly neighbors. It's the perfect set up for a small family and has all the creature comforts you could ask for. Absolutely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

My family loved the house! It's lovely with large rooms! Great kitchen and dining area! We loved the porch and property! So thankful to be able to take our dog too!

The house is very clean and well equipped! Kids loved to play at the swing set outside. We also enjoyed the view of the mountains when eating breakfast! The location is perfect and is very close to the caverns and downtown. It’s also about half an hour drive to the skyline drive/ first hiking trails.

We were in Luray for a family wedding and am so glad we discovered Joseph House. It's a beautiful historic home surrounded by gorgeous, peaceful scenery. It was the perfect weekend getaway from the city!
