Farmstay vacation rentals in Minnesota

This is a repeat stay for us, and it lived up to the memory from the first time we stayed here. Everything is super clean, bedding is very comfortable, surroundings are so pretty with flowers on the property, bluebirds in the birdhouses, comfortable patio space and fire pit. Is VERY private. This is an extremely easy place to be. And for those who want it, downtown Afton, Hudson, and Stillwater are not far away. This is one of my favorites!

Diane was very responsive and helpful, answering all my questions and making sure we were taken care of. So much to do, will be back!

This farm was just as described. The hosts were kind and accommodating. The property was great and we walked around the farm many times a day. We appreciated the fresh muffins that were thoughtfully left for us. We bought a jar of local honey, look for it on the porch! We used the fire pit for s’mores and enjoyed the swing. Bring a flashlight! It gets dark at night and we couldn’t seem to find one. We would definitely stay here again. Great hosts and a wonderful property. Thank you!

This place always feels like our home away from home. Everything we need is ready for us, and it's easy to settle in. The peaceful surroundings and thoughtful hosts are beyond compare. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Lisa went above and beyond to help our 1 month stay in December be as comfortable as possible. She was always easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. The home is an older home but we knew that going in. Even being older it still had everything we needed for a family of 4. It was beautiful inside and out . The surroundings were beautiful. If you appreciate history, nature and small town feel. I highly recommend this peaceful home. Lisa was a great host and we definitely appreciate her making her home open to us for a whole month. If we ever had to go back to willmar MN we would definitely reach out to her for another booking. Thank you Lisa!

This was a wonderful, quiet, rustic stay. The location was gorgeous and peaceful, a much needed respite from the bustling music festival we attended while staying there. Everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. One comment I would make is that the shower set up in the small cast iron tub is a little challenging for larger people. It’s not a very big space. Definitely not a deal breaker, but just an FYI for those looking to stay here.

Naomi saved our Mothers Day disaster from another host. Not only was Naomi a superb host, her cabin was simply amazing. A place to relax and be carefree. Kids to run and play with the dogs, with no care in the world. A loft perfect for them to find sleep. A kitchen perfect for endless home cooked meals. This cabin was so perfect to take the kids mom and grandma to disappear from reality and be one with nature, family, and self. With non stop, amazing selection of vinyl records on rotation and though available, a TV and electronics were far from necessary. The peacefulness after the sun set and the calm of the rising sun. Naomi always there when we had a question. The forest park with a beach and fire tower just a few miles away along with town being not too close but not too far. This cabin was what we needed and was our much needed paradise. This will become a new annual spot. Beautiful cabin with a beautiful history.

This Airbnb was such a delight! The place was immaculate and well-appointed. Greg and Mary made us feel extra welcome. Greg gave us a farm tour and offered kayaks and firewood to use during our stay. Everything was perfect!

We stayed at Lydia’s for a Girl’s Weekend. It was so beautiful and relaxing, and had everything you could ever need. We had lots of long chats in the cozy living room and felt right at home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful house very close to downtown Stillwater! We had a great stay!

Karla is friendly and very responsive to questions. I liked the property and view of horses, dogs, goats, cats, and chickens. Its very quite and peaceful and yet close to a couple local favorite bar and grills.

We had a lovely stay at the Anchor Farmhouse for my daughter’s graduation celebration from St. Olaf College. The property is stunning and the house is charming. Brenda is a great host, very accommodating and communicative. The dogs, kitties and puppies were a highlight, great company. And farm fresh eggs!

To put it simple, this place is awesome! A super clean house on a peaceful plot of land with access to the river to fish when you want. Great fire pit or hot tub to enjoy the night sky. Just overall an awesome place.

This was my second booking at the property, both times I found the place clean and accessible. Appreciated also the quick responses. I've stayed both times in the later fall, comfortable home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! Our family of 4 (3 adults & 1 child) had plenty of room to spread out and/or come together during our stay there. The property is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated making us fee right at home. This property is located in the country with about a 15 minute drive to Winona along a beautiful and winding. With the location being in the country, it is quiet and peaceful which was just lovely. We would recommend this property and would return if we have the opportunity to do so.

Although the gps had a difficult time finding the house at first, once we got there it was quite, peaceful and beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife flying or walking about. Only a few minutes drom town. Kathryn was alway quick to respond. Would definitely stay again!

Great accommodations and hospitality as usual. Fresh and delicious homemade cinnamon rolls, jam and pickles for us to enjoy during our stay.

The house was exactly as described. Dan was very accommodating, communicative, and responsive.

A true hidden gem! We did a group snowmobile trip from here and couldn't be happier that we picked this place! Meredith answered our questions regarding parking for our multiple larger trucks & trailers (we did need to back in our 4 place trailer but it was a very straight driveway back and not hard to do) and snowmobile trail out to the main trail. The place is big, clean and comfortable and has everything you could need including wifi. Beds are comfortable. Glenn was a joy to talk with and even lead our group on snowmobile out to the lake! Will be planning another trip here in the future!

Just had a wonderful weekend at Dan and Catherine's house in Alexandria. We were 10 older folks there to bike the Central Lakes Trail, and this was very convenient. I can't find any fault with our hosts or the accommodations. The house was spacious. Each of us had their own room, and the two bathrooms was adequate for what we needed. There is a really nice patio with a table that seated everybody, and fire ring where we sat on evening for a campfire, and a large dining table indoors. Everyone agreed it was a great place to stay. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty to do indoors, but we didn't take much advantage of it because the weather turned spectacular so we mostly stayed outside. Highly recommend these hosts!

We loved staying here! It can be difficult finding a good place to stay when traveling with three generations, so we were really happy to find this place. It's an old farmhouse, and we loved it. Beautiful area with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. And Bruce and Kristie are extremely responsive - they're the sort of hosts who go the extra mile. We'd definitely like to stay here again!
