Sunny, Private, Central Studio — with Lively Art

Dawn SeaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a nice, clean, and cozy place near the location I needed in a nice neighborhood! The sheets were especially soft. Place was clean. I'd be happy to re-book. The toilet easily clogged, but they had a plunger handy so that was helpful! You will also hear overhead noises, pipes, toilet flushes etc. from upstairs, but the house noises were normal/walking. It was a calm environment, and the art and decor was cheerful! Loved the touches of DVDs and player, and the wet bar for tea/coffee and re-heating food if needed. A hot plate/toaster oven was available, though I didn't use it. Overall, very nice experience!

Sunrise Ridge - Perfect Retreat, Close to it All

AaronRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Sunrise Ridge, and it was great both times! It had plenty of room and amenities for everyone in our party, even the puppies. Maria is always responsive and accommodating. She has really thought of anything you might need for any visitor of any age. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to walk to the main drag in Estes, or to escape into RMNP for an adventure.

We totally enjoyed our 2-night stay at this cabin. It was in a great location in Estes Park - close to downtown/restaurants and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The host, Nathan provided clear instructions for the cabin, and always responded quickly to any questions that we had. We did have an issue with the TV, but Nathan resolved it quickly. We would definitely go back again.

The condo was comfortable and the views were gorgeous. It was clean but a little bit dated in the bathroom and the vent in the kitchen needs a major dusting. Also the screen on the slider needs to be replaced otherwise the place was great. Very relaxing and peaceful

Your FoCo Basecamp for breweries and downtown fun!

JamieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Beautiful home, comfortable beds and lovely decor. Overall a fabulous stay. We found out that even thoug it sleeps 11, any guests over 6 are charged $50 / night (per person, per night). We rented a larger AirBnb because we thought we would have more guests for our son’s college graduation but ended up only having 5 guests due to a family emergency. Across the street construction started at 7:15 on a Friday morning, FYI. Certainly not the owners’ fault, but something to know for awhile, as we had hoped for a little more rest since arriving late the night before. The house was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a few snacks upon arrival. Cozy living rooms (2) with blankets, and overall super clean and lovely!!

We had such a great experience at Horsetooth. The home was relaxing, clean, and well equipped for all our needs. We had a great time relaxing in the hot tub and enjoyed the stunning view with our morning coffee. I can’t wait to come back during the summer to explore the water at Horsetooth. The area is cozy and inviting. The check in experience and communication was easy and flexible. We will absolutely be back!

Your guide to Loveland

All About Loveland

Set at the base of Colorado’s Front Range, an hour north of Denver, the town of Loveland has fostered a thriving arts scene. More than 500 public art pieces add life to the city, from downtown’s street murals to bronze sculptures at Benson Park Sculpture Garden and striking stone sculptures at Chapungu Sculpture Park. A red sculpture spelling out L-O-V-E sits next to the Visitor Center, and you can purchase and engrave a lock to place on it. Eclectic shops and restaurants lure locals downtown, where you’ll find them chilling out with coffee and pastries at a cafe or catching a game on TV over a plate of sliders and a local brew.

Outdoor recreation is big here. If you drive out highway 34 into the dramatic Big Thompson Canyon, you’ll find the Round Mountain Recreational Trail, a superb hike up Sheep Mountain for experienced trekkers. Closer to town, hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders can find routes for a variety of fitness levels amid the austere rock formations of the Devil’s Backbone Open Space. Lake Loveland and Carter Lake are just two of the nearby stretches of water where you can fish or canoe the day away. Loveland boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the country, open from October to May, and has excellent options for every skill level, from beginners to experts.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Loveland

At 5,000 feet above sea level, Loveland’s elevation, and its location in the north of Colorado, produce a dry climate that swings between high heat and very low temperatures from season to season. The best time to visit Loveland may depend on what activities you’re looking to take part in. Because of its incredible hiking and mountain biking trails, summer is the most popular time to visit. Days are hot during this time, but the temperature drops drastically at night, so be sure to bring layers. The city hosts a huge Fourth of July celebration, and in August there are several art festivals, including a sculpture show. Fall brings ideal conditions for hiking, as temperatures are mild and the leaves begin to change.

Skiing is hugely popular in Loveland, and because the area sees a whopping 422 inches of snow per year, the season is especially long. During the day, temperatures are cold but not unbearable, but they drop to frigid levels at night, so don’t let yourself get caught outside after dark without a warm coat and extra pair of socks. During the holidays, the city hosts a lightshow at the Sculpture Garden, where you can enjoy holiday-themed displays and LED-light and music shows. As the temperatures rise in spring, enjoy the best of both worlds as hiking trails begin to thaw and ski runs remain open.

Top things to do in Loveland

Benson Park Sculpture Garden

The verdant landscape at Benson Park Sculpture Garden provides a winning setting for 170 sculptures by world-renowned artists. Paved, accessible paths winding through this 10-acre site will lead you around ponds, trees, and flowerbeds, and you can admire the artwork at your own pace. You’ll also find picnic areas and a gazebo.

Devil’s Backbone Open Space

Just west of Loveland, the Devil’s Backbone Open Space provides a spectacular backdrop for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park encompasses nearly 2,200 acres of varied terrain, and its trails pass towering rock formations and grasslands blanketed with wildflowers in spring. You may even spot red-tailed hawks soaring above the area.

Loveland Museum and Gallery

The Loveland Museum and Gallery, founded in 1937, is an art and history museum whose displays provide an immersive way to learn about Loveland’s past and admire works from local artists. Check the schedule to see if you can enroll in a class or workshop to explore your talents.
