Vacation rentals with beach access in Kauai County

We wanted a space in the middle of Kauai with nearby beach, restaurants, and only 90 minute drive as far as you can go to either the Tunnels Beach or Polihale. We mostly traveled to the less touristy beaches during the day and spent the evenings swinging on the porch swings looking at the beach between the AirBNB and the Hyatt each evening. Great space for 2 with separate bedroom and living room for couples that get up at 2 different times and a washer dryer so we could bring clean clothes home. Great kitchen with all the upgraded supplies. 2 walkable coffee shops and restaurants less than a mile away. We stayed at the Four Seasons Maui the week before and although we really, really enjoyed the understated luxury, we liked Kauai and this space better. Thanks for a great week!

When we return to Kauai, our trip will be based around when we can book C5, as we felt everything was amazing and perfect for our liking. Thank you Greg!!

We had such a wonderful time staying at Charle’s place. Before we arrived Charles messaged me with all of his recommendations from restaurants, entertainment and activities, that was so helpful! The apartment was very nice. It was very clean and the view was amazing. We had plenty of towels for both showering and the beach, there were even snorkels, a beach umbrella, and beach chairs for our use. The location was awesome! Just a short walk and you’re on the beach, we saw 13 sea turtles there one morning! It was really hard to leave, we are already planning our next trip back. Thank you Charles! P.S. Just an amazing location!! The place was super clean and very comfortable. Sitting on the back patio with the new furniture listening to the waves and looking out on the ocean was incredible!! Can’t imagine a better location. We could hear the waves from everywhere in the condo and falling asleep to the waves was fantastic! Roz was a great host and provided tons of local recommendations and was always very prompt getting back to us if we had any questions. We’ll definitely be back!!

Very comfortable room, perfectly equipped, thank you very much for all of the little attentions. We were looking for a place within the Hanelei Bay Resort in order to have easy access to Puu Poa beach, it didn't disappoint!

Beautiful views and we had a wonderful stay! Condo just as described, very clean and comfortable. The beach chairs, snorkel equipment, hiking poles, and other beach gear were really appreciated! Kitchen had all the supplies for everything we needed. It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit. Several nice restaurants nearby and a great shopping area. Very central location on the island and only 10 minutes from the airport. Would highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay!

Great place for family gathering. Everything was well stocked and ready to go. This included a complete kitchen, towels, laundry soap and a garage full of outdoor gear. The back deck was a popular place for reading and conversation. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 10 nights at Devaki’s beautiful house. It was quiet and peaceful. We never closed the windows or blinds and listening to the rain at night was wonderful. Waking up at daybreak to that view was really nice. The location is perfect and we hope to return soon.

Lovely stay — perfect for our family with a 3-year-old. Great location close to some great restaurants and kid-friendly beaches. We even used the athletic club one day and had a blast. I'd recommend this clean, bright spot to anyone staying in Poipu.

Enjoyed the most mellow and relaxing vacation with my adult children. We walked daily on the great pathway and took in the blue ocean and the peaceful setting. The neighborhood was quiet and what I expected. We enjoyed eating at all the wonderful local places within a casual 20 minute walk. It was rainy this time of the year so sometime we just stayed and chilled in the awesome living room. The house is old so it has its charms but it felt like going to a beach house. There are plenty of windows and we slept with them open and it was very windy at night so we didn’t miss the a/c at all. We are from the Pacific Northwest, my son said he was surprised that 72 degrees could feel so cold and it was funny to see him wear his puffy jacket at times. Anyone staying here in the spring should probably bring a jacket because the wind and moisture can make it feel a lot colder than it should be due to being right next to the ocean. This is an excellent location overall.

My sisters and I loved this place. Ingrid is great, quick to respond and very helpful. The location is beautiful, very close to great beaches and snorkeling. The beach is just across the street and always empty giving one the feel of having a private beach. Great views from the dining room so we often ate dinner at home after being gone for the day. Close to a great little coffee shop-The Haven. We look forward to going back!

Our family felt right at home, thanks to Donna! It was comfortable and clean, and really ended up being exactly how she described! We will definitely reach out to Donna next time we're coming to Kauai!

Miguel, who also goes by Micco, was the most welcoming host I've ever had with an Airbnb rental! He absolutely made us feel welcome, and his house really felt like a home. It's absolutely beautiful inside but even more, it was so comfortable I could enjoy hanging out there. The view of the mountains from the front deck is gorgeous and the view of the backyard from the screened in patio is also lovely. The rooms are quite comfortable and the kitchen is spacious. The house is located a few minutes walk to Hanalei Bay beach and downtown shopping. Both are very "walkable." Micco also was very attentive, helpful and responsive during our stay. We'll definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful stay at this darling home in Kapa’a, Kauai! The space was spotless and thoughtfully maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location couldn’t have been better—close to shops, restaurants, and the beach, yet still peaceful and quiet. It was also the perfect spot for children, with a safe and cozy atmosphere that made us all feel right at home. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a relaxing stay on the island!

Matthew’s place was an absolute dream! Thoughtfully designed and full of charm, with a breathtaking view — truly a hidden gem. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, the bed was super comfortable, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We were a bit worried about not having A/C, but it turned out we didn’t need it — the ocean breeze was perfect. We also loved having access to beach gear and bikes — such a fun bonus! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!

Five stars! We stayed in a nearby unit back in 2019 and knew we had to come back — the beach and view are that special. Calm mornings snorkeling with turtles, sunsets from the lanai, and easy access to spectacular hikes made this the perfect home base for our Kauai getaway. The condo is extremely well-stocked — we cooked most of our meals and never wanted to leave for dinner (those sunsets!). The space is functional and has everything you need. It’s well loved (older appliances, etc.), but it didn’t affect our experience at all. Comfy king bed, bedroom AC, and a great host — Kelly was responsive and helpful. Incredible value for this location. We’ll be back!

Tom’s place was easy to get to and conveniently located. Condo was exactly as described and as shown in photos. Would definitely stay here again.

The view!! We watched turtles from the lanai, and beautiful sunrises. And the surroundings were dark enough to see a gorgeous night sky when it was clear. The condo was spacious and clean. Bed was super comfortable, as was the living room furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Easy walk to several beaches, short drive to several others. Walked over to the Beach House for happy hour. Close to restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our stay!

We felt very comfortable in the apartment – it was exceptionally well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed, including a dishwasher. It was definitely one of the best-equipped places we’ve stayed in. Everything was also very clean. The location in Kappa is perfect and a great starting point for exploring the island. We loved having meals on the balcony. There are two pools and a large supermarket (Safeway) right next door. The apartment also included beach gear, which was a great bonus. Communication with Kaz was excellent – she responded quickly and even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. ☺️ If we return to Kauai, we would definitely book this place again!

This spot was a perfect location for our vacation. We loved being able to walk right down to the beach while also having local stores and restaurants close by. Luisa was very quick to respond to any problems and had many amenities making our trip even smoother. It would definitely be a place we look at booking again in the future!

We loved the location! We did rent a car for a few days to explore further but the area is very walkable and the beach within 5 minutes was one of our favorites on the island. Highly recommend the musubi truck and dukes for food! The condo was spacious and clean and had everything you could need in it! Larry was also super helpful and friendly! Would come back :)
