“The Surf Cottage was the perfect home to my (now) husband and I as we celebrated our honeymoon. It was a perfect size, offering us all the needed amenities, including the sounds of the ocean at night. It was the perfect location, tucked away enough to feel like a local while being a quick walk from the beach or the main area of Hanalei. It was a short, easy walk to all of the restaurants and shops, but the ease of parking at the Cottage also meant we jumped in the Jeep to avoid the rain or take longer trips. Micco (Miguel) was also the perfect host. He was quick to answer us, even while out of town on his own vacation, to help us with any questions, and when I forgot a sweatshirt after we checked out, he was quick to facilitate a retrieval of it for us. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and are looking forward to the time when we can do so celebrating an anniversary.”

“I just have too many great things to say about this beautiful and comfortable place! The perfect home base for exploring the magic of Hanalei. Our favorite part was the huge lanai, the best place for rainbow-spotting. The house is walkable to the beach (5 min) and town (less than 10 min) where there is lots to eat and do so we abandoned our car for most of our stay. Jason and his family are darling and they and their property managers thought of EVERYTHING you’d need for a family-friendly beach vacation. We had our 3 year old and 10 month old with us and had all that we needed and more - fully outfitted kitchen, laundry, AC, natural cleaning products, pack n play, beach toys, outdoor shower, etc etc etc. Just can’t say enough wonderful things. We moved to another part of the island and miss Hanalei already!”

“A fantastic location—walking distance to beautiful Hanalei Bay beaches, farmers market and downtown; plus, views of the mountains and waterfalls off the lanai. The house is stylishly decorated without sacrificing comfort. The beds are super cozy and well-appointed. Although, with any house in Hanalei, bring some earplugs for the numerous neighborhood roosters. Mike was a fantastic host—super accommodating and responsive to questions—and handsome to boot! We would definitely love to stay again in the future!! Much Aloha!”
