Farmstay vacation rentals in Hudson River

A breath of fresh air if you are looking to escape from the city. Super friendly and helpful host, Jillian. I visited with my 3 year old in fall and there was an endless list of kid friendly activities to do in the area.

A fun winter break/birthday getaway! Sarah’s house had plenty of bedrooms for all guests. The game room, pool table, and wood stove/fireplace were great to have on these cold February days. Everyone enjoyed the sunroom and large dining table. The hot tub and outdoor sleds were used as well. The history of the house and beautiful views from the property were an interest to all. I bet this house is a lovely spot in the summer as well!

Bernard’s place was perfect for our visit. It was cozy and inviting with plenty of space for the three of us. The farm is beautiful and perfect for fall walks. The photos do not do this place justice. Bernard was a great host and very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed before and loved it and again we were very happy with our stay. Hosts are very accommodating and definitely deserve a 5 plus star rating!! Rental is perfect and has everything you need. Truelly a dog friendly rental. Our dogs loved the farm. Would highly recommend a stay at starlight farms.

We had a wonderful stay on Gemma’s property and felt right at home. The kids loved feeding the farm animals — a total highlight!! Gemma generously provided us with an array of breakfast items, which really made for lovely mornings. We would absolutely return!

This is the perfect space for a group to stay! The unique art pieces and makeup of the home combined with the record player and records made the home stand out for sure. I particularly loved the guide that identified everything we might need to know about the house as well as giving a bit more info about the art pieces. This is a place we’d all love to return to! Definitely recommend it.

Their place was super cute and clean. The type of style and decor is to die for ❤️ Had all the towels we needed. Loved getting in the hot tub in the winter. Just wish there were blinds that weren’t totally see through! Also, we barely went into the “great room” because that room is a lot colder than everywhere else and we couldn’t figure out how to use the pellet stove in there without it smoking like crazy. Loved the place nonetheless. It was great for a birthday celebration with friends!

This was the ideal place for a family gathering: Roomy, private, functional and clean. There are comfortable places to hang out together and cozy spaces to privately zone out and rest. Jason is an excellent, reliable host. And those views! I definitely recommend it.

Our close family of four and two small pets enjoyed the farm house experience. We had fun walking to the lake and watching the cows and the farmer. We also toured the farm and walked to the neighborhood beach. The sunroom was very relaxing as we ate our meals watching the views from the lake throughout the day. The moos and the life of the cows was also interesting to watch over our four day stay. The owner was very responsive and polite.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse in the heart of Cornwall! The location is breathtaking, with stunning views of the rolling hills and the iconic Gateway to Cornwall. The farmhouse itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making it the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the little farm shop! They offer an amazing selection of homemade treats, including fresh yogurt, maple syrup, delicious jams, and more. Everything was locally made and absolutely delicious—a perfect way to take a piece of the farm experience home.

We enjoyed a stunning mountain view during breakfast, which set the perfect tone for our stay. Carrie kindly gave us a tour of the farm, sharing her insights and making us feel welcome. We also went hiking and explored nearby towns, each offering charming, cozy vibes. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

Priory was a beautiful little space!! Modern, clean, and the indoor gas fireplace made it very cozy. It was neat walking around the farm and seeing the different properties and the animals. The brewery nearby was really convenient for food and drinks and there’s also a nice little market to stop at for provisions on the way back from Woodstock (there didn’t seem to be food delivery options available at this time of year). Beautiful area. Loved being there for the little snow fall we had. Over all it was a great stay the kids were happy.

Had a great stay at Andrew’s Air Bnb. It was very close to numerous wineries, breweries, and restaurants. It was the perfect location for a weekend get away, with a house that would’ve been worth it in the middle of nowhere! We will be back!

We spent a beautiful family Christmas at Paul’s place meeting there, Christmas Day with Son, toddler grandson, and 100 pound dog. We arrived an hour early (coming from four states away with the hound) and there was a little tension about getting the code to get into the property but got in at check in time and were greeted by a beautifully kitted out pristine and cozy home at which to spend our Christmas together. The grandson loved toddling around and the dog meandered happily in the fenced in yard. Paul advised us to turn on the gas fireplace, which we did and a lovely time was had by all. There was nothing lacking in the place, bedding and beds were very comfortable, and we are definitely planning to come back for another visit someday. I can’t say enough about Southold in the entire North Fork area. It’s charming, has lots of farms and vineyards and cute boutiques and such but it’s not over built like so many other areas.

What a wonderful place to get away! This renovated barn was beautiful-clean, spacious, well kept, comfortable and had great views. It is also close to Woodstock, Quechee and all surrounding towns with plenty to do, places to hike, ski, skate. The property managers were highly responsive, helpful and accommodating. We would recommend this place to all!

Another wonderful weekend in Bovina. The team enjoyed a bonfire in the firepit and felt right at home. The mudroom has plenty of room and a basket of slippers that were used this weekend. We enjoyed a cookout for dinner and enjoyed the foliage sitting on the deck. Hope to return next year!

We loved the cottage. If anything it was even cuter in person than in the pictures. Communication was perfect and the place was very well thought out. We enjoyed our stay, I’d recommend it and come back here in the future!

We had an amazing stay at Gwen and Ed’s farm. We came with our family of 3 small children. The house was spacious and very comfortable. Everything was spotless. We loved the property with the most stunning views. We fished the ponds, walked around looking at the trees, watched the cows get fed in the morning. It was simply perfect. We also loved the fire pit! We would love to return!

Just stayed here for a mini relaxing girls trip and it was absolutely perfect! The location of the house was very easy to get to and we had no issues checking in. The house itself was cozy and warm and it had everything we needed. Judy was very responsive and all of her instructions were very clear. We stayed here for a second time in a little over a year and hope to come back again. We love the house and the location. Grace is an expertly great host, who communicates frequently and clearly. The house is very comfortable and family friendly, and our kiddos had lots of fun exploring outdoors and mooing at the cows. The grownups enjoyed the comfortable inside, the welcoming dining room, the views and the fall foliage. This is an excellent choice to relax, disconnect and enjoy the quiet scene that surrounds the property.
