Cabin vacation rentals in Herrington Lake

We held a family gathering of 11 adults and 2 small children over a long weekend at Jack’s place, and it was darn near a perfect venue for it. The house is gorgeous. It had plenty of space, was super-clean, and convenient to other attractions in the Lexington area. The home is in a peaceful & quiet setting, with wonderful scenery overlooking a small lake. It had roomy bedrooms, with plenty of bathrooms and showers for us. The kitchen was great for preparing meals for our group and there was a large Weber grill on the deck. We had all the space and tranquility needed for some much-needed together time with our family that is spread out around the country. Jack was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Hope we can book this property again someday. We truly enjoyed it.

GREAT PLACE!! Brent was very responsive to our questions. He was flexible and accommodating. The house was for my son's groomsmen the night before the wedding, and it was PERFECT for them. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Would definitely stay here again!! It was a beautiful location and the trains were an added bonus. The River House was both comfy and cozy and a perfect spot for our family to spend Christmas together! Will recommend it to all my friends.

What a great place to stay during the Railbird Festival! Tracie was quick to respond to my messages. We enjoyed all the amenities, especially the hot tub! Thank you for being such a magnificent hostess (and the cheesecake). We loved getting to use the space. Great find!

This was a last minute stay so we didn’t stay too long but sure wished we could have! This place was so peaceful and absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be going back for a mini vacation here in our home state! John was super friendly and very responsive. Definitely worth the price.

Oct 18, 2024... We HIGHLY RECOMMEND John's place, as one of the best places we have stayed. We needed a place to stay on short notice, he had availability & we booked same day! John was quick to responded! His cabin was beautiful, spacious & clean, with very comfortable beds & spacious, clean, hot showers. Hot tub was a sweet treat after long day!! If we return to the area in future, we would definitely book John's place again!

Our family rented the Airbnb to celebrate the holidays. The property was exactly as shown, it was perfect! The property owner had decorated the home for Christmas before we arrived. I would definitely recommend this property! 5 stars

My family and I stayed at this cabin for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and modern and full of things to do. We spent a lot of our time in the speakeasy playing pool and hanging out. The rooms were comfort and the kitchen was very nice. I loved sitting out at the pond enjoying the nice Kentucky weather. We went to the Four Roses Distillery which is only a 5 minute drive down the hill. Jodi was an excellent host and made our stay an easy and beautiful experience.

Great stay and beautiful cabin. Missing a few essential but overall would recommend this place to anyone. Our family had a wonderful time.

Cozy rustic cabin with an amazing back deck and a beautiful view! Great hosts! And though it is out in the country, it’s close to Lexington and some great local restaurants. Plus on the same property as a zip line course and hiking trails. Awesome hidden gem!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the airbnb and the hosts are always very welcoming and friendly. It’s a small area, but perfect for 2 and the view is just as perfect whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night. I stayed with my wife this time around and everything was very sweet and set up for us; wine glasses in the bedroom, incense and candles, dessert in the small fridge, even a percolator with coffee available for the morning. Joy, their dog, meets you when you enter and when you leave. He’s a bit loud but friendly and will play fetch if you give him the chance but won’t bring the ball back to you; that would be too easy lol. They looked up some places for potential canoeing or kayaking for us prior to our arrival and were always available as they also stay ion the property in the adjoining section of the house; but also allowed us privacy when outside resting from your trip in. Always a pleasure to stay with them and would recommend to any couple.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and we loved the place. And they allow dogs which was a plus for us. Check in process was super easy and the place was awesome! Highly recommend.

The cabin was wonderful, and Colleen and Albert were awesome hosts! Everything in the cabin was thoughtfully arranged to make the best use of the space for a comfortable stay. TV, wifi, and cell (I have t-mobile) all worked great, and I was able to work remotely full time with no issues. The campground was very peaceful and safe, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms, shower and laundry room were all clean. Definitely recommend!

I enjoyed my stay here. Host was very friendly and flexible with my checkin/out. Very private, on the marina, lake view. Small curvy one lane road to get back to it though. The bed could use a new mattress. Otherwise, this place was great! 5 stars would stay again!

We almost couldn’t find the place, but that’s because we didn’t read instructions well. After finding the place, we drove around a bit to find the cabin. It’d be nice if there’s clearer or bigger signs. It’s a nice place. Just make sure you read all the instructions they have carefully so you’re not surprised. I didn’t read instructions carefully lol.
