Vacation rentals with breakfast in Hawaii County

I stayed at Julia’s beautiful apartment for three nights. I can honestly say that I have never stayed at a better airbnb. She was the most friendly, helpful and nice host you can imagine. And the location is just incredible, in the middle of her self managed beautiful garden/rainforest. The room is very clean, cozy and everything was just as you’d need it. She and her friend even took me on a morning hike in volcanoes NP and showed me the nature, lava formations and told stories from their time living in the area. I’ve enjoyed the stay at this beautiful Airbnb in the middle of the rainforest and if I ever come back I will definitely stay there again! All the best to Julia and her family!

The accommodations are simple. The bed was very comfortable with AC in that room. The unit was clean and simple but reasonable for the location - very close to kayaking and snorkeling. There were plenty of towels, hot water, easy cooking facilities, private quiet and safe. If you want upscale fancy - go to a hotel. If you want some space to spread out for a reasonable price by the beach this unit wins my vote! Loved our stay and we will return.

Great stay. The views were gorgeous, deck patio was huge. You could hear the wildlife at nighttime. Jason was super communicative. All around 5 stars!

Kurt and Kana were wonderful hosts! The breakfast was amazing and Kurt had an “after breakfast chat” where he sat down and chatted about everything and anything. We felt right at home and he and Kana were very welcoming. He had great restaurant recommendations and other good local tips. Highly recommended! Thanks again for making our stay so relaxing!

We had a wonderful time. Cathia was a very gracious hostess to our family that included two toddlers. The house was very clean and well maintained. We were free to roam the property and even picked fresh fruit. Cathia gave us fresh eggs and bananas. There was a wide selection of coffee and tea available also. There were many pool toys and snorkels for water time too. The property was beautiful and had Aloha spirit. Mahalo so much for making our family's vacation awesome!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home very much. Plenty of room for our family of 5, and the kitchen was fairly well appointed for cooking in. There were also many extras that we appreciated as well, such as flashlights (the property is remote, so very dark outside at night), laundry detergent, books and games. etc. One thing to note is that there was a slight musty smell; I suspect due to the wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms and the tropical climate. This did not bother half of us, but the other half of us who are more sensitive to smells were a little bothered. I think a change of flooring would be a good idea (not an easy fix, I know).

This was my families second time here and it was better then the first. The first time was awesome but due to the upgrades and extra amenities it made the stay even better. Truly recommend and will for sure be back. Aloha

If you want a quiet place to stay this is a good choice! Away from the crowds but easily accessible to attractions. The property is stunning with beautiful flowers and birds and incredible views.

Incredible little hidden gem. Close to coffee farms, local vibes, snorkeling, etc. peaceful and private. There is a lattice partition between the two garden suite lanai’s - had wonderful chats with the lovely folks staying in the next suite but still the apartment felt very secluded. Viviane is a generous and gracious host. Mahalo, Viviane!

Really loved our stay. It was raining pretty heavily but her place was perfect for it. Windows looked out into the forest with beautiful plants and orchids. The rain sounded beautiful rolling off the roof. This made for the most cozy of stays.

Definitely recommend having a car on the big Island, especially if booking this place as you would need to drive to see the best sights (~2h to Kona at the opposite end of the island). Very cute coffee shops and farmer’s market available nearby though! Mahalo🌺

Large enough for group stays of 4 people. Great restaurant right next door. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy!!

This beautiful apartment is located on the hills south of Kailua-Kona, an area which feels more genuine and offers fantastic elevated views of the coast. It is close to some of the best snorkeling spots of the island, and there are lots of Kona coffee farms and interesting places along the way. Regina is the best host one can hope for, naturally very caring, and gives more space to the guests than to herself. She provides fruits, bagels, and treats, on top of being just a very nice person to chat and live with. Riley is the sweetest dog on the planet and a real highlight of the stay. The sunset from the balcony is to die for. There isn't any other place on Big Island we would like to stay.

Maxx was very accommodating to us as there was hiccup in renting out the Escape to Mauna Loa Village and gave us another space to spend the rest of our trip. It was very clean, easily accessible, and a perfect location for exploring Kona. I would definitely love to book with Maxx again in the future!

Spacious, clean and comfortable room in private, beautiful surroundings. It’s super close and conveniently located to everything in Hilo and it was an easy drive to the Volcanoes National Park. Everything went smoothly and it was a great value!

She was always responsive, kind, and genuinely cared about my comfort. The place itself was clean and cozy, but it’s the host’s warmth that made this experience unforgettable. Ryan’s sanctuary is a stunning property nested away filled with fruit trees, animals and meditation areas. He thrives at growing a local community focused on self-sustainability and ecological wisdom. He is kind and everyone on the property was superb. Highly recommend this spot for any visitors looking to enjoy some time in bliss!

It was a great little getaway and Sarah was so sweet to bring out delicious homemade papaya bowls for breakfast! 10/10!

Very relaxed and easy place to stay. It’s right near the best surf beach in Hilo so if you are into surfing it would be the perfect place to stay. Not far from the main town. Steph was very nice and easy to communicate.

More than just a place to stay, Barbara and Nathan have a knack for providing a sense of home (and family) away from home! I was fortunate enough to stumble on their Airbnb for 2 days of my weeklong trip in pursuit of seeing Kilauea erupt, and those two days have now become a highlight of the trip I can't stop talking about, and reason why I will continue to come back to the Big Island and seek further stays with them! From the moment I stepped onto the property, Barbara and Nathan welcomed me to my own personal cabin on their off-grid, solar-powered retreat and topped it off with a personable tour of all the fruits/veggies growing on their land. The accomodations were comfortable, and I enjoyed falling asleep to a symphony of coqui frogs at night-time. Nathan made delicious waffles for breakfast each morning and I additionally enjoyed an extra night of dinner & fun conversation, storying telling with Barbara/Nathan and another guest I won't ever forget. Thank you for the best stay!!

Out of the beaten paths yet conveniently close to Kea'au, Pahoa and Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, this beautiful house is located in a quiet and lush environment. Riaan and Lisa are very kind and helpful hosts and make you feel at home.
