Lake house vacation rentals in Hartwell

This was a great place to stay for a weekend at the lake. Really quiet location, perfect place to relax down by the lake.

My wife just said this is her favorite place we’ve stayed at in the Clemson area and we’ve going down for four years. Peaceful location, went kayaking and hung out on the dock. Very comfortable beds as well. Quick drive to campus and having a Publix one minute away was a great added bonus making everything that much easier to plan and manage. Cathy was great, and proactively answered any question I could have had when she initially reached out to me. It was a great stay!!

We had a lovely stay at Rhonda's place. She was very responsive to our needs. Easy drive to Clemson University. Place was clean and tidy. Went for some walks and checked out the surroundings, beautiful area. Even met some neighbors who were very nice. Highly recommend staying at Rhonda's home.

We loved this house. Plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the house so much, we didn't want to leave! Will be looking into future bookings!

Our host was so kind and for that I am so thankful! The home and property are beautiful. The kitchen is way better equipped than any other place I’ve stayed (at least 10 different ones) which is awesome if you love to cook like me and are there cooking a holiday feast! Y’all, no place will feel perfect because no other place is your own home but this place comes close. Ildi’s responsiveness and kindness are the icing on the cake. We had a simple and pleasant experience here at the lake house and that’s all that we prayed for.

The property was peaceful, beautiful and well maintained. The amenities provided made this a turnkey experience. The Host was proactive and communicated clearly and timely. Overall, my family thoroughly enjoyed their visit, and that contributed to our awesome Christmas experience.

The dock was 100% awesome! Even though the weather wasn’t great, we were still able to enjoy our time on the dock on the lake. The house was as described, and had all the things we needed for the weekend.

Wonderful location! Jennifer's lake house had plenty of room to accommodate four couples and a large driveway to park four vehicles, all with boat trailers. This made for a great fishing trip with friends! The path to the dock was a clearly marked walkway with lights. We had a question about electricity at the dock, and Jennifer was very quick to respond to answer our questions. she was also quick to respond to our questions before booking as well. Check-in was smooth with keyless entry and checkout instructions were clearly posted and easy to follow. We were able to have a Walmart grocery delivery and the Dollar General store was close by when we realized we forgot a few things. I would definitely stay here again!

This is our second time staying here. We love the house and the place. The house is always very clean and plenty of room for everyone. The host is very responsive if you need her. Love that they have lots of things for our fur baby. We ended up not bringing him this time but he would have loved it if we did. We love this area and have family that we come down here to see. This is the one place we look forward to staying at when we come. Thank you Tracy and Felix you make our stay very enjoyable!!

They were extremely helpful and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. They provided plenty of extras so the entire family had something to do.

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was awesome. Christine was a great host. Very responsive! The house was perfect. It was very clean, had everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was very nice. It was quiet. A golf cart was provided making it a very short ride to the dock. We rented the pontoon boat from the host. BEST decision ever. My son-in-law is an experienced boater and we were able to explore the lake. It is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the lake and everything it had to offer. We were a family of six adults and one infant. The house was perfect! I would highly recommend it. Christine was a great host. My family wants to go back for a longer stay!

Three generations and our dog had a great stay at Portman’s Paradise. It was perfect for our group size. The accommodations were exactly as shown in the photos and the home was clean and spacious. The loft room was a great additional space to relax. The view was beautiful. When the power went out in the neighborhood, the host was quick to reach out and let us know, keep us updated and was responsive to answer our questions.

Such a quaint cute home. Everything we needed while we were there. 1 recommendation is to put house number on front of house as there are 2 homes side by side that look very much alike and we were unsure which home we were checking in to. Download instructions before you get there as you will most likely lose signal.

Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed the use of your house and boat this weekend. House is awesome and so well stocked. We loved the area and the lake, was so much fun cruising around on the pontoon boat. Very relaxing weekend, while enjoying our son’s wedding. Everything could not have been more perfect! This is our second day here. We love the surroundings, walkable trail to the lake, water and trees, wildlife. The house has plenty of space and everything that is needed. We really enjoyed our stay same as before.

This was honestly the most relaxing stay we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was very easily accessible. The stay is great and the water was absolutely perfect. We used the paddle board and the water mat and had a great time on the lake. Highly recommended just don’t forget bug spray!

Perfect spot for our somewhat last minute getaway. Secluded and quiet, but close to several towns if you want to have supper or listen to a little music. The water right off the dock is deep and swimmable, and the kayaks are great for an easy trip to the main channel of Lake Hartwell. The house itself is beautiful, and comfortable(an important combination). Very clean, with all the necessities that are often absent in vacation rentals(lake towels! coffee filters! salt!). We really loved this lake cabin, and can’t wait to go back.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday here over the weekend and we could not be more impressed with our stay! The house was beautiful and exactly as described in the listing. We are already planning a weeklong stay because we loved it so much! The host communicated and responded to our questions quickly!

Perfect getaway for Thanksgiving with the family. The views, the lake, and the amenities were perfect and fit the descriptions listed. Andrew was an awesome host, very responsive and proactive. Highly recommend!

We unfortunately did not get to stay at the property as we flew in morning after Hurricane Helene, having no idea the devastation we were driving into: downed trees/powerlines, poor cell service & limited GpS, blocked access to roads, limited access to fuel & food. The only way to communicate with our host was by phone call thru AirBnB. They were amazing to deal with & Susan handled our unfortunately, unique situation quickly with kindness & fairness. We hope your property faired well thru the storm and hope for the day when we can get back and actually get to stay at your beautiful home. Thank you Susan & AirBnB
