Home away from home

Located less than 2 miles from the Appleton airport, and 32 miles from Lambeau, this executive home sits on a quiet cul de sac. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor, two with queen sized beds and there is a bathroom in between them. The master suite sits on the opposite end of the house. In the basement is a rec room and a 4th bedroom and 1/2 bath. There’s a beautiful yard and deck and big fire pit. A great place to stay for EAA or Packers games (take a shuttle bus for about $30 each).

Owners live in attached house and will be as available as you need, or not if you are looking for privacy. Our home and the attached apt. are located on 3 acres surrounded by trees. We are 20 minutes to Appleton and Oshkosh and about 50 minutes to Green Bay. We are also 7 miles from downtown Fremont and the Wolf River known for it's fishing and boating activities.

The furnishings in this area are mostly antique pieces that came from special family members. You may also use the screen porch and patio for relaxing in the spring/summer. You will have a private entrance through the garage so you can come and go as you like. The kitchen is furnished so you may cook. There are also many restaurants close by. Now that I have stayed at Jack's home @ 5 times, I can easily verify that every moment spent in that home is magical - steps away from a walk on the beach, the methodical waves lapping on the shoreline, and the majestic sunrises reflecting on the water combine to provide a therapeutic sensory experience that delivers 24 hours each day. If that isn't enough, there are fabulous coffee shops, restaurants, and bars that you can walk to as well as many others a short drive away. No - Jack does not pay me to write these reviews ... the reviews write themselves. Enjoy!

Stayed here with some extended family and really enjoyed it. The setting was beautiful and quiet, with a great view. The cabin/house was comfortable with a good aesthetic and had everything we needed. The game room in the garage was a nice touch, the kids were big fans. Host was friendly and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Our family had a lovely stay at this Airbnb. The pool was the highlight (especially during a cold and rainy spring break week) but the whole house was cozy and extremely well stocked for cooking and entertainment. Jill was a great communicator and offered us early check in and late check out. Lake Michigan is minutes away. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

State Park w/ Orchard Style Yard & Pavilion

We had a great stay at The Orchard House Retreat. The property is as described, looks like the pictures and had everything we needed. The kids especially loved all the toys and books! The house is 5 min to the State Park beach and 10 min from downtown. We loved having the backyard, the furniture was well taken care of and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating— with everything labeled around the home. It’s also a great layout for bigger families /groups with 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 on the main floor and 1 in the basement.

The setting is absolutely gorgeous—right on the lake, with peaceful views that made every morning/evening feel like a retreat. Despite the tranquil location, it’s surprisingly close to local amenities, which made exploring and running errands super convenient. The host was incredibly responsive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed and more. The beds were exceptionally soft and cozy—perfect for a great night’s sleep after a day outdoors. Great host!! Great location!! Great property!! We came in town for a golf trip and this property was a perfect location and comfortable. Nice to start each morning with a quick walk to the beach and watch the sun rise over the lake. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.
