Perfect Location! Owner Club Access, Dog Friendly!

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

the Holy Cow Guest Haus was a perfect location - we didn't use our cars once they were parked and were able to walk to everywhere we went in New Glarus! Lots of wonderful local spots to eat/drink/shop nearby. Teri was flexible about our arrival time and had a binder of menus and local suggestions to page through!

Updated luxury country getaway short walk to lake!

PatrickRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Shari’s property was that rare thing on Airbnb, of being exactly as advertised. If her property advert appeals to you then you will not be disappointed. The little welcome selection was a nice touch & it really is the perfect restful location especially if you have come from Chicago. I wish my daughter had been old enough or I was young enough as the bunk beds looked super cute & fun. If I was going to pick an area for improvement it would be to replace the shower head/unit. That is aside, if I can make time for skiing in the winter I would definitely look to stay here again.

Cold glasses, New Glarus beer and bottles of ice water are stocked in the refigerator. There is also a Keurig coffee maker with coffee! Great location! Comfortable and quiet, great cooking tools. Only thing I would tell others would be that the bedrooms don’t have curtains and to bring eye mask for sleep because the sun is kicking in the morning. I mentioned to Chris and he was receptive. My son and I enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

We were very happy with our stay. The location is perfect for wandering around this cute small town. We enjoyed the private space which, while it has all the modern conveniences needed, was like a step back in time. The space is perfect for two people. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again if I returned to Mineral Point. We especially thought the stone walls were cool and enjoyed the thoughtful addition of the polaroid camera for guest pictures. cute idea!

Great place near Devil's Head resort! It's less than a 3 minute drive so we were able to easily drive back to rest/eat in the afternoon and then head back to the slopes for a night ski session. The bathrooms and linen are extremely clean; the living spaces are spacious. The dining table/area is smaller but not a big issue - the kitchen has a complete set of cookware and microwave/fridge. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

We returned to New Glarus for the annual World Euchre Tournament, staying at Melissa's place for the second time. The apartment has lots of natural light and was again in excellent condition. We were able to easily walk to the tournament and to many restaurants and bars around town during our 3-night stay. Just a great cozy getaway!

You’re simple was amazing! I hope to return again in the fall. Will and Robyn are kind flexible and have thought of everything one might need for a peaceful glamping experience. I am glad I treated myself to a solo nature bath at yurt simple. Some cool things- I got to stand up paddle board twice since I was there before the lily pads spread out too much. The wood burning stove was awesome at night to stay cozy warm. Loved the Casper bed and cooling gel pillows. Camping in comfort! Best of all the sounds of nature: the wind in the trees, bird songs by day and some fun owl hooting at night. The yurt is practical, well supplied and versatile for lighting and wind flow. Thank you for an excellent experience.

131 Plum Cove - 3 Beds, 3 Baths, Sleeps 8

HelenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had originally booked 2 nights, but had such a great time and felt so at home staying at Michael's place that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. It felt so peaceful and relaxing and even the kids were begging to stay another day. Luckily it was available. Everything was very clean and we loved the style and decor of the house. The view from the balcony was beautiful and perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee. The house had everything we needed for our stay with kids and dogs. The kids loved that we had access to the pool at the owners club and the dogs loved taking walks down the path by the lake. Also, Michael was very responsive throughout our stay. We had an issue with one of the TV's and within 10-15 minutes the maintenance guy was there and able to get it up and running. This place is definitely at the top of our list the next time we visit Galena!

Cozy Retreat | Hot Tub | Firepit | Dog-friendly

LindaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

Doreen was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
