House vacation rentals in Franklin County

The condo was clean and modern. There was everything you could imagine you would need. Every switch is labeled. The towels were the best part. They were of high quality. And plenty of them. The HVAC was great. The condo felt like home from the moment we stepped inside. The only issue was communication about the code. They do not communicate over Airbnb. They will give this only to your email, which I did not know. You need to insure you have all of the info you need at least a day or two before you go.

We had a wonderful time at Kristie’s. Comfortable and beautiful property. The pool and game rooms were so much fun!

What a great place in a location out of the mayhem. Jessica was a fantastic host.

This house felt just like home! It had everything you would need in the kitchen. The garage had ping pong, darts and extra outside chairs . The front and back porch had plenty of patio furniture. The bedrooms were so cozy and spacious. The upstairs area was a perfect place for the kids to hang out . And the bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels ! I even took advantage of the CrossFit gym that was 5 minutes down the road ! And just beyond that was a grocery store and coffee shop! We really enjoyed our stay!

I must say this was my first experience with ever staying in a Airbnb and wanted a change from a hotel and very glad we decided to give this a try. Tammy was an absolutely awesome host very responsive and a very nice lady. The description matches everything. Very beautiful property and very clean.

Wonderful accommodations!

We stayed here to celebrate my sister and brother's graduation! It was the perfect place to get together with family. The space was extremely clean! The kitchen had everything you needed from dishes to utensils to equipment. Sarah was so helpful and responsive - she was an excellent host. We wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely worth it and will come back.

We had a great time! We enjoyed the kayak, roasted marshmallows in the fire pint, rented a pontoon boat for one day, and followed Ben's helpful recommendations about having lunch at Cancun and having the kids check out the arcade at Bridgewater Marina. It was a perfect house for multi-generational guests, including our two young children. We made friends with two ducks at the dock and the kids splashed around in the water even though the water was a little chilly. They were thrilled and screaming with joy! The house lost power in the middle of a thunderstorm for a few hours, but it was all fine and the hosts were very responsive to any and all questions we had. We had an awesome time! Thank you to Ben and the other co-hosts we messaged with!

Jessi’s Air bnb exceeded my expectations! The house its self was beautiful, and the inside was very well kept up! The back deck made the perfect lounging area, as well as the boat dock! We enjoyed lots of sunshine at the dock! Jessi’s communication was amazing, checking in on us, keeping up to date and her response time made questions answerable within minutes! The location of the house is 15 minutes from restaurants which made it very accessible! The house is perched back into a cove, which made it very peaceful and relaxing! I would highly recommend Jessi’s air bnb!

Really enjoyed our stay! One of the days was rainy and it was still great to just sit and read a book while looking at the lake. The main reason we booked this location was for the sandy beach area, it did not disappoint. Made it very easy to get our dogs in the water. And not have to take them to the park. The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. The also returned the dog cleaning fee very quickly which is always appreciated!! The dock is very well positioned for easy in, easy out should you want to rent a boat. The pictures are an accurate representation of the home. Easy to move around and a good seating. The deck is very large and can’t wait to see what they do with the reno in the spring!

This is a picturesque quiet spot. It was so beautiful. I was there for graduation so was unable to utilize all amenities i.e. kayak and paddleboard. the decks are beautiful, the scenery is relaxing and the house is well appointed. It was so fun to have a foosball table and ping pong table downstairs. The couch in the basement was also super comfortable! The kitchen had everything you would need even spices that are beyond the salt and pepper.

Our ladies retreat was amazing!! The location/property was most accommodating and exactly what we were looking for. Will come back again indeed! :)

Kelsey’s listing was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving gathering. The house had everything we needed with plenty of room for us to kick back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. She was very accommodating and even though I had to bother her with some minor issues/questions during the holiday, she responded right away. Carol was a great host - super helpful, responsive, & kind. This spot is such a gem. Unique things to do in the area, and such a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere in their space. Will hopefully be back soon!

Todd's place was exactly what we were looking for. Our daughter had her wedding 2 houses over and it was a very convenient walk. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We love that area of Smith Mountain Lake. Todd was very communicative and checked on us during our stay. We look forward to staying there again.

Sarah Grace’s home was the PERFECT, relaxing retreat for three best friends and our families! It was a great space for three families with a nice big open kitchen. A game room for the kids was a huge plus. We brought a boat, launched it close by, enjoyed the gorgeous lake and ate an awesome lunch at Jake’s on the water. Sarah Grace had us fully prepared to arrive with a list with links to things to do and places to eat, etc. The long weekend went off without a hitch and was super cozy!!

Cleanest Airbnb we have stayed at. Very comfortable, relaxing, stocked with everything you could need. We would love to stay again.

We stayed at The Frances home July 6th thru July 13th, 2024. The house is so much nicer in person, the pictures just don't it justice. The beds were fine, the kitchen is well stocked and the place was very clean. Tons of room on the lower level to spread out and enjoy the pool table and ping pong. The lot is sloped but not too steep and they have a very nice, concrete walkway. The owners allow use of their kayaks, canoe and tiki hut on the dock. The hot tub on the lower deck was a great way to relax and enjoy the lake view. The house is in a no wake cove and just across the water from Jake's Place. Super close to the SML bridge and Bridgewater marina. Jake's has a restaurant, camper park and beach area with a slide. They do provide internet although we struggled many times with the connections, just power cycled their router and it was back up and running. T-mobile is the provider, I believe. The one major negative is no trash service, not even trash cans. Gotta fix that...

I booked Katherine's place for my bridesmaids and I to stay before my wedding, and then for my husband and I to stay after our wedding. It was so serene and beautiful-- the outdoor area and the different parts of the house really made this a wonderful experience. Katherine was so helpful. I would reccomend this airbnb to anyone who is looking to stay by the lake in a peaceful retreat!

Fotheringay is, in a word, perfection! The house, the immaculate grounds, the comfort of the bed, the fluffiness of the towels, the perfectly stocked kitchen, the views. this is our fifth year straight coming for a writing retreat and we love the place more and more every year. George, the caretaker who loves on site, is a dream: so kind, helpful, warmest and considerate. Thank you Dabney for letting us enjoy the wonders of this place!

What a gem we found! We absolutely love the area, the home and the experience! This was our first ever Airbnb 10 states from home! I was very nervous and had my breath held wondering if I did everything right. We loved that this house had everything we needed and plenty of space after driving 14+ hours is a tightly packed car! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
