The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Our property is 150 acres total, off the last end-state maintenance road in the county, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81, or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the Virginia Tech area. This one is a 24' yurt, beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and steam-sauna shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by 150 acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away. The cottage boasts historically preserved features as well as luxury and comfort for guests. It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

The Boat House

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.
