Look out for the Northern Lights/Aurora with no houses on the north side of the road to block any view of them. The home has a comfortable queen bed. Cook on the gas range with all the necessary cooking utensils available. The house has Wi-Fi, TV / Amazon Fire Stick to watch your favorite shows. Aurora Outpost is located on a private 100 acre homestead just 7 minutes from Fairbanks and 5 minutes from Fox, AK. There is NO electricity, lighting is provided by warm lanterns. There is NO plumbing, but there is a small water system and outhouse. I am also available 24/7 to answer any questions about the features of the cabin or to help guests enjoy the cabin to its fullest!

This small cabin has everything needed for a safe, quiet and comfortable home base while you visit Fairbanks. *** Please note that there is a half bath, a sink and toilet, NO TUB or SHOWER! May 2025: The Toyo oil stove has recently been examined and adjusted to respond to a few guests who have mention a fuel smell. While not dangerous, a blocked air exchange vent created an unpleasant smell. All resolved now! ** At times during the winter, AWD or 4WD is REQUIRED.

We had the loveliest stay at Leila and Nate's place this March! The apartment was extremely clean, cozy, and private, and had everything we needed and then some--the shower particularly was very nice and big. It is obvious Leila and Nate take great pride in their property, and more broadly in their home of Fairbanks and the surrounding area, with their extensive local tips. A lovely handwritten card from Leila welcoming us was a lovely touch, and we're very grateful to both of them for welcoming us into their home. We will definitely be choosing their place again the next time we are in the area!

We stayed at Cynthia's with a basketball team and the space worked great. The house had enough beds for eight kids. It was clean and had what we needed, including games for the kids to play during their free time. We would be happy to stay here again!

The house was perfect for a family get together. There's plenty of space for everyone. There's a large kitchen for cooking. Raven proactively sent local suggestions for things to do and sent us a location nearby where we could catch the Northern lights.
