Beachfront vacation rentals in Emmet County

Christy was a superb host, answering any questions we had very promptly. The property was well maintained and a perfect getaway. We definitely have it on our list to visit this location again!

We had an amazing stay!! The house is incredible and offers plenty to do inside during winter weather. The kitchen is very well stocked with tools and dishware and the lake view is wonderful.

This is a special place with a lot of local history that I did not know before going. The beach across the street was very realxing. We brought our dog and she loved to go to the beach and bark at the birds. Really close to downtown. A short drive to Petoskey. Everything was exactly as discribed at the house. The hosts were very nice and came over when we arrived. We cannot wait to go back!

Our week at Brian‘s house turned out even better than we hoped. The house was lovely and very well equipped. Lake Walloon was incredible and we all enjoyed the boat.

Nice house on a peaceful lake with great views of hills. Enjoyed seeing eagles, king fisher, osprey and many other birds. Close to Petoskey but far enough away if want the quiet. VPNoMi was proactive and easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay.

Thomas responded promptly to all of our questions. The cottage was the perfect place to get away from it all, and on a hot day, the breeze from the lake made it feel as cool as if it was air conditioned! As a heads up to other renters: the lake is very shallow so take it easy when you pick up speed, but the lake connects to The Black Hole Nature Preserve and then to the Inland Waterway via Crooked Lake so there’s plenty to explore if you have a boat. Our dog hung out in the water all day living his best life and it was easy enough to keep him on the porch using a baby gate until he was dry enough to come into the rest of the house. The bunk beds were particularly roomy and great for all ages!!

This place was perfect for what we needed and a great location! Close to the boat launch, walkable to town & lots to do. Michelle & Thadd were so accommodating and flexible which was greatly appreciated with our two little ones. We will definitely be staying here again!

It was our second year in #24 for a terrific northern Michigan golf weekend in the same complex as an owner. The place is perfect for it. We’ll be back again next year!

Beautiful condo on a peaceful lake. Host included little things like q-tips and bottled water. Plenty of towels, pans, and blankets.

Barrington was very welcoming and friendly! He told us all about the property including trails that we were welcome to explore. The cabin itself is small but functions very well for two people. We cooked dinner two nights during our stay and the kitchen had everything we needed - pots/pans, utensils, hot plate for cooking, toaster oven, outdoor grill. The bed was very comfortable, however, it is somewhat damp in the cottage so our portable fan came in handy for humid nights. The private beach is gorgeous and easily accessed by an awesome path (very walkable with a 6month old baby attached to me!). We didn’t see another soul on the whole beach both times we went. The treehouse (also reachable by the goat path) has stunning views of the water. We enjoyed some Chianti and watched the sunset one night. Overall, it was amazing and I highly recommend! Hope to return one day!

This was a perfect place for us! The location and amazing view made this a wonderful stay. We had not even left our kids were asking when we could come back. We saw loons, geese, ducks, swan, and a bald eagle while hanging out by our fire! Could not ask for anymore than what this property provided!

We enjoyed our stay at the boathouse. It is our third visit and it never disappoints. The boathouse was clean and cozy. Pam and Dave are lovely hosts.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The cottage exceeded our expectations, the setting was private, and the view was spectacular. Our family wants to make this an annual tradition!

Enjoyed staying at this beach house. We had a party of 5 adults and we were comfortable. The furniture is probably from the 70’s or 80’s but it was so well preserved it could have rolled off the production line yesterday. There is one master with king bed and the other couple and party slept upstairs in the smaller beds. I would have liked a bigger bed for other couple but the home itself with very comfortable and homey. Extremely clean. Great deal and couldn’t ask for better scenery. Hope to come back!

This property is so nice for families - with the larger house and the small cabin both, it was perfect. The space was clean and had more amenities than was mentioned in the listing. Jeanine was a good communicator and shared all the necessary information. The only thing I would have liked to know is that the water is across the road and down a very long flight of stairs. I wasn't familiar with the area, maybe if I was I would have known that! But with little ones it was a bit much for them and we didn't end up spending time at the water like I'd hoped. But the view was spectacular! I also loved that the property is out of town a few miles so even though the weekend traffic was bad in town, we felt away from all that. Amazing place to stay! Can’t wait to go back! It was such a pleasure to meet host Judy and hear her tell of her family’s fascinating history of this gorgeous property on Lake Michigan. She is quick to answer any questions you may have…extremely accommodating. While she stays in a smaller abode onsite, the environment still feels private and secluded. The views, indescribable! Mother Nature speaks to you constantly, sometimes in a whisper and other times as a roar. But remember, you will be in the Wilderness Park so be prepared (as Judy says) for a pesky pest or two. We really only experienced them (biting black flies) one evening while collecting rocks along the beach. We found our natural oils repellent worked best. The cottage interior is a delightful eclectic French Country, comfy and cozy!! Every corner is decorated with such uniqueness and interesting flair. There are plenty of areas of the home to gather together or to sit quietly in peace. It is truly a VERY special place!! 💖

I love this cabin. The cabin is clean and comfortable. It is stocked with anything you would need for a comfortable stay. I come back here every year because it is so beautiful, peaceful, and cozy.
