Townhome vacation rentals in Cambridge

This was our first stay at Penny's place as our youngest has recently relocated to Jamaica Plain. The rooms exactly as described, but better! Penny has thought of every little detail to make a stay wonderful. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in and the sheets were lovely soft cotton. There was a kettle and loads of choices for hot beverages in the room and the amount of daylight that comes into the space is amazing. The location of the house is perfect for anything you might want to do in Boston as the 39 bus departs from the bottom of the street; ideal for connecting with the Logan Express bus at Back Bay and allowing for a nice walk through The Fens if you want to go to the ballpark. We explored a few coffee spots and restaurants but will find more next time. You can walk everywhere!

We were in the Boston area for a graduation, so having a nice place to stay, close to where we needed to be, was perfect. We were able to check in early which was super helpful! Overall, it was just what we needed for our trip and would stay there again!

We felt at home here. The location was great with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Michele was so helpful and answered any questions we had.

Overall the location was as advertised and up to expectation! With several floors there was plenty of room for all of the guests to sleep and a large living room/kitchen to hang out. The T station was close so even with spotty weather we were able to get everywhere with ease. Would highly recommend!

We loved this special place! It's really a one-of-a-kind way to experience the historic area of Boston, the location couldn't be better. And it's tucked away so you have your own quiet corner to escape too after a day of sightseeing. Howard was such a lovely host, greeting us on arrival, giving us tips & everything he recommended was GREAT. We loved the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum - I want to come back to go through it again! And the Red Fox served excellent cocktails and was a fun secret little space to uncover we would have never found without the recommendation. Just a couple of notes: as is stated in the listing you are in someones home. The entryway is shared use, but there was very little "traffic" during our stay and the hosts are so very quiet you sort of forget you are sharing the space. The one small thing that I wish was I had brought my own soap and shampoo, I usually do. I have sensitive skin and the body wash was a little harsh for me.

Amazing house for a family. Each floor has its own space— a bedroom and bathroom. They even left Boston Red Sox hats for us! It was perfect for Boston marathon weekend and would visit again. My niece and nephew (ages 4 and 5) loved the twin bed room!

Fabulous place. Clean, quiet, stylish, and well set-up. Awesome gas stove, new washer and dryer for your own use in your own basement, bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, all makes for nice division of space. Great location: around the corner from a supermarket, two blocks from a bus stop to go to Harvard yard in less than 10 minutes. Johnny has all the details covered and provides an easy to use orientation sheet with all pertinent info: wifi set-up, recycling, etc. Leave your iron at home--the place has a great one.

Camille’s place was perfect for a group of myself and three friends as a base to explore boston and further afield. The house was cozy and comfortable and in a nice quiet neighbourhood but had good access to the red line to get into boston. Theres also a small number of nice coffee and drink /food spots just down the road which suited us perfectly. It was exactly what we were looking for and would recommend for anyone who doesn t mind not staying in downtown. Thanks

Austin was an excellent host and his OASIS in Watertown, MA was a true value for us. It is in a convenient location with easy access to Cambridge and Boston either through Mass Pike or back roads. The property was spotlessly clean. It is furnished with an elegant and contemporary taste. With three bedrooms, a living room/kitchen area, the spacious place accommodates a large group comfortably and aptly. The cool breeze from the central air added an extra layer of comfort in the midst of sweltering heat wave that engulfed Boston during our stay. Everything worked. Austin was easy to reach and quick to communicate. He also developed an encyclopedia for his offering in his house manual with information that made our stay deceptively effortless. We will choose his offering next time, if the need arise. Thank you, Austin.

Great location, house big enough for 7 people, all rooms big and clean. Easy and fast to get to Harvard and downtown.

Evelina's home was a true delight. The space was impeccably clean and thoughtfully organized, and we especially appreciated the comfortable beds. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need, and having a TV in multiple rooms was a nice touch. We did want to mention a couple of minor points for future guests to be aware of. The stairs leading to the bedrooms are a bit steep, which might be something to consider for those with mobility concerns. Additionally, the shower is located within a claw-foot tub, which could present a challenge for individuals with limited mobility when entering and exiting. Taller guests (those over 6 feet) might also find the shower ceiling a bit low and the showerhead placement less than ideal for comfortably washing their hair. Despite these very minor considerations, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here!

We had an amazing stay and felt right at home. If there were any questions or issues(parking, trash, codes) Jenny responded almost immediately. We felt comfortable in the area and there is a ton to do. We will definitely book again with Jenny the next time we are in the area.

This place was so cute and walkable to town for shops, food & beverage. Good location if you want to be just outside of Boston proper.

Stayed at Sonnys place for a concert at Gillette with a bunch of friends. 15 mins down rt 1. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Great place with a larger group for any event in the area. Thanks again!

I recently booked this lovely Airbnb for a weekend stay with my family to attend my college graduation, and it couldn't have been more perfect! I would absolutely stay at Edna's place again. She was very responsive when there was an issue with the bed and her handyman came right away to fix it. The house itself is spacious, clean, and perfect for a few couples or family looking for a little getaway. Perfectly nestled between Salem and Boston, which we visited both when there.

Met our needs in every way. Fast to respond and went above and beyond to accommodate are changing schedule. Great location close to stores and restaurants. We were here for my moms surgery and made multiple daily trips to the hospital. If you are visiting for similar reasons, note that this location takes approx 20 min. To Brigham Women’s/Dana Farber Cancer institute. However with early morning traffic this can take up to 1-1.5 hrs to get there so you will want to plan accordingly.

Great space, great communicative host, and a perfect spot from downtown. The host accommodated for our toddlers with extra toys, pack and play and a high chair. Everything we needed was available and the space was perfect for all 6 adults comfortably. I would definitely stay here again if we go back to the Boston area! We stayed at Anda's place for our daughter's graduation. We did not spend much time there as we were busy with activities but overall it was a great experience and stay. We managed to find parking on the street both nights and the parking pass was a great touch! The place was very clean, totally updated and the shower was incredible! We would definitely recommend staying here.
