Cottage vacation rentals in Augusta County

This cutesy cabin was just around the corner from great wine, kayaking, and a fun little icecream shop! It was next to a road tho, so a little less private and we had to be careful our dog stayed close, but loved the accessibility anyway. Super recommend visiting!

We had a great time at this cute little renovated ranch. It was very clean and fresh! They supplied fresh bread and coffee k-pods - nice touches! Good location for vineyards and hiking! We did ask for a late check out and they were not able to accommodate without a charge, that was disappointing, but they did disclose that ahead of time.

Our group loved this stay in Wintergreen! Extremely accessible to the slopes, with multiple amenities included within our airbnb. Plenty of room for everyone, and plenty of supplies from top to bottom - if you forgot something, chances are the house has it! However, we found that the hot tub was not clean prior to our stay, and the bathroom floor heat was unavailable. Overall though, very nice stay and would recommend to others!🙂

The cottage was perfect! Exceptionally clean and cozy! The kitchen was very well equipped! We loved the hot tub…clean and well taken care of. The cottage was so close to our favorite wineries and restaurants! Can’t wait to visit again in the fall!

What an amazing house! Plenty of living spaces to just hang out and connect with your family and friends. Great kitchen with everything you need. More than enough bedrooms that are very nicely sized. The decor is very clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully planned. We LOVE the yard space with two fire pits. Lastly the hosts made us some homemade sour dough bread that was amazing. Nice touch. Our group was going to downtown Charlottesville to do some activities and the drive was about 30mins, which was just right. This is the best bnb I’ve stayed in, hands down.

We had a great time at Sereda’s! The house was spacious, clean and cozy. The neighborhood was beautiful and you could safely walk to town. The river in the backyard was beautiful with lots of animals sightings and lovely parks with playgrounds and trails. We would love to go back!

Annie went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was exceptional. She is a wonderful host! The home is spacious and perfect for our family. We would definitely stay here again.

Location location location! The Sparrow was in a great location to walk into town and what a cute little town Staunton is!! We enjoyed the Farmer’s Market Saturday morning and browsed the shops on the main streets. I had a great girls’ weekend with my daughters. The only negative may have been having only one bathroom to share with 3 women and one of those being 8 mos pregnant, but we made it work! The Sparrow was decorated so nicely and the beds were all so comfortable. We had a great trip!

We had an amazing time! The cottage was clean, extremely stocked with lots of extras which was so nice. The views are incredible. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. They are close if you need anything but the house is very private. The adults, kid and dogs loved it! Hope to come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay for our friends bachelorette weekend, we enjoyed the games they had in the closet, we had plenty of space for all 9 girls even with it being only one shower, we made it all work! It was nice having the half bath too! We loved being so close to Blue Mountain Brewery. Thank you for a great weekend!

Loved staying here the best was the dog run for my dogs. It was so nice to have that. The privacy and location were great.

The home was beautiful and exactly as described. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and privacy. A highlight was sitting on the deck, drinking coffee, listening to the birds, and watching the bunnies and deer. Our dog loved exploring the yard on a long leash. The location is perfect for exploring everything Nelson County has to offer. Would stay again!

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful home! It’s perfect for families — plenty of space, incredibly comfortable beds, and spotless bathrooms. One of our favorite things was sitting out on the front porch, music playing softly, just soaking in the peaceful scenery. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor the moment. Highly recommend!

This is the third year we’ve come back to the Gatekeeper Cottage and it’s just as wonderful as always, Adrianne and Brick are very friendly hosts! We hope to come back again in the summer even if just for a day to enjoy the house in another season. Thank you again for having us back!

This was an amazing find! The property owner is super nice, responsive, and provided all the information you could've possibly needed. The trails on the property are amazing and the cottage is even more beautiful and fun in person. We had an amazing time here and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended 100/10!

Our stay was short but the Virginia cottage was perfect for our group. The surrounding area is beautiful. The cottage is no frills but great for a large group. Lots of space.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet personal note that made us feel right at home. The location is stunning, and we wish we could have explored the trails, but the weather and our other commitments kept us busy. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy everything this beautiful place has to offer!

Stayed here two years ago and when making the same big drive down knew immediately where we’d be staying. Was fantastic the first time and nothing has changed since!

We visited Charlottesville (Afton) for my nephew's high school graduation, staying for four days and three nights. The view from our cabin was stunning! Our host was friendly and very responsive during our communications online. The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward and easy to follow. I highly recommend this host! If you choose to book with them, make sure to visit Blue Mountain Brewery—you won't be disappointed!

We had an absolute blast at the cabin! It was the perfect Location to brewery and winery hop! We will for sure be staying again in the future !
