Farmstay vacation rentals in Augusta County

Our friend squad (3 couples) loved our stay at this adorable home! Sarah was easy to communicate with and super responsive! The house had everything we needed and was VERY clean on arrival. Having bathroom and kitchen "necessities" provided was a nice bonus. This house is located directly on the Nelson 151 Trail so it is super convenient to wineries, breweries and restaurants. Our weather was not cooperative so we didn't get to enjoy the lovely firepit out back with the nice views. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Alison’s house and really enjoyed our time here. Beds are comfy, house is spotless, kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes and pantry essentials. I enjoyed sitting on both the front and back porch and reading, listening to the wind chimes and watching the cows munch grass. Alison has selected beautiful art, dried flower wreaths, antique furniture and cozy rugs etc to fill the house and it all feels special and not generic like so many Airbnb’s can feel. You can tell this is a beloved family home. Alison was very responsive and tried to help me troubleshoot issues with the wifi which was so appreciated. We ended up enjoying our time “off the grid”. Thanks Alison, hope to return someday!!

This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. This home is gorgeous with the mountains as a backdrop. So peaceful with an outstanding view. Fire pit was great! Sally had all we needed to have a fire in the fire pit. The lower level, where we stayed is lovely! Very clean and decorated beautifully. We only stayed one night. Would love to go back.

This is our second time here and we love it! It’s very beautiful, quiet, peaceful and super comfortable and clean. It’s always great to chat with Pete and Kyle, and with 2 kids at JMU, we hope to come again soon!

The carriage house had beautiful views of the mountains. This loft served as a perfect anniversary getaway.

From the first glimpse of the rolling farm hills and quietly grazing cows we knew we had a good place to get away from our ordinary lives. Brendan met us when we arrived at the quaint location: rambling farm home and adjacent out-buildings close to a lovely stream with weeping willows, wild flowers. Brendan helped us with our luggage and showed us around so we could get the most from our stay. We took walks along the farm roads and enjoyed our time in and out of the house. The outdoor shower was fun and I loved the deep claw foot tub.

Yurt is cute but one should consider this camping not glamping. The yurt does not have air unless you open the windows. It does have a wood stove but it was warm enough that I didn't need it. There is bathroom with shower and toilet located in the hosts house. It has a private entrance and there is outlets for you to charge your phone ect. The hosts have set up instructions for building a fire. You can gather your own wood or use the hosts for $9. There is a large cooler provided so bring ice and groceries. Bring a lighter and a sleeping bag as well. Because we are so close to Afton local spots, I used the restaurants for my meals. Blue ridge tunnel and parkway is right up the road! This spot is a great location! Mary is a responsible and very helpful hostess! She also provides breakfast for an extra charge.

We loved the cabin. It was luxurious in a down home kinda way. Great amenities and gorgeous location. It felt more like a resort only private! We can’t wait to come back next year.

We absolutely LOVE the Sugah Shack! This was our second visit, and once again Carolyn and Dan have thoughtfully curated every detail to make your stay truly enjoyable. Starting your morning on the porch with a cup of coffee while soaking in the breathtaking views is simply unbeatable. Carolyn and Dan are incredibly responsive and always ready with helpful suggestions for local activities or anything else you might need. Their warm hospitality and the cozy, inviting atmosphere make the Sugah Shack a perfect getaway spot. We can’t wait to return!

We had a great time celebrating a friends birthday over the weekend. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful views. Beds very very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. Very cute place!

This was a great place to stay for a weekend ski trip. The wood fireplace was amazing! There were options on tv for Netflix and Prime so it was nice being able to relax at the end of the day with familiar tv. The market and slops were within waking distance, very convenient! Kathryn provided clear instructions and was very responsive.

Great place to stay. Amazing views from the house which is situated on a hill overlooking a valley. It is beautiful. So fun to be out in the country, relaxing and peaceful. Everything you need is in the house. All 9 of us had our own space. The pool table was a lot of fun. Close to downtown Staunton which is a fun place to walk and eat. Totally would come back and we would recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was just as described! We loved sitting on the back porch with our wine, cheeseboards and books watching the storm roll in over the mountains. We could not have asked for anything more!

The house was very lovely, located in a great location. with beautiful views. It was not far from many locations with many activities and things to do. If we ever have the opportunity to stay there again we most certainly will!!

The house was great! It’s located in a very pretty area and plenty of room for our family. It had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend away. Breanna was very responsive and helpful. Everything was clean and I would stay there again and recommend to others.

The House on Mole Hill is a winner! The house was spotless, with all necessary amenities (the bathroom towel warmer was a real indulgence!) for kitchen and bathroom. Great location for access to both Dayton (Silver Lake Mill Virginia Quilt Museum was our destination) and Harrisonburg shops and restaurants. Such nice touches like A&W Root Beer and iced cold mugs in the freezer, bottled water, Keurig coffee, and fresh cinnamon roles. We didn't need our electronic charging cords as the house was equipped with 2 cord free phone chargers and 2 charging stations with 4 different connectors to accommodate most devices. Thanks for a great stay, Gerald!

James and Emily’s condo was spectacular. Waking up to the beautiful view was the best part of our stay. In addition to the view the condo had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable and peaceful. The ride through the mountains was a bit tricky for us Michiganders but we were up for the challenge. Communication was excellent. If you are considering this home, you will not be disappointed.

I loved my time here! It was very nostalgic for me having grown up in the mountains of rural parts of Northern California. The sound of the flowing water behind the cabin, the walking bridge, fresh air and being tucked under all those trees and greenery really made me feel like I was back home. This was a 2-day solo trip for me to wind down, enjoy my solitude and take a break from my very stressful government job. Suzanne was an amazing host, provided info for local restaurants and grocery stores before I even arrived. The cabin is so cute and was immaculate throughout. Definitely staying here again!

The house was in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. The views from the back deck and front porch were beautiful. Inside was clean and comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were well stocked with all of the essentials. We really enjoyed using the hot tub!

This was truly a home away from home, all the comforts and amenities needed plus some extra unexpected provisions. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Harrisonburg if it is available.

We enjoyed our stay at Linda & Todd’s guest cottage. It was very clean, comfy & cozy and was in a beautiful private setting. Lots of wineries, breweries and distilleries within a 15 min radius. Our hosts gave us some great recommendations for nearby hikes. We did the humpback rock hike which was short but very steep. Cool view from the top. We also did the Blue Ridge tunnel trail. Highly recommend. They also provided us with some nice amenities…coffee from a local roaster, granola bars and oatmeal packets for breakfast. The beds were also comfy. We would not hesitate to recommend their place to family and friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mark’s place! The quiet and peaceful location has a beautiful view and is close to town and JMU. The kitchen was fully stocked with a large dining table. We loved all of the space to spread out including the downstairs room with large and comfortable sectional. The entire family enjoyed the game room! Thank you, Mark, for a wonderful stay!

We had the most amazing stay! The location was perfect and the views were incredible. The house itself was spectacular! You can tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have a perfect experience. I cannot recommend this house enough.
