A country cottage near Micanopy.

CynthiaUSA NomadRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The third long term stay at what I call my "tropical oasis" was just as amazing as my previous two stays. Stunning hill top views with deer, cows, horses and egrets... giant live oaks with Spanish moss dancing in the wind high in the tree tops.. banana trees.. adorable little tree frogs and lizards plus the occasional armadillo scurrying through the yard at dusk while an owl screeches from above is what you will find here. Not to mention all the other nasty bugs that call Florida home but only in the summer! This beautiful quiet very rural area is why I keep coming back. But the best part is Mark, the ever vigilant host with excellent communication always ready to address any concerns you may have. I learn so much about old FL from him and enjoy our friendly neighborly chats. The small cottage inside reminds me of an RV. But the giant screened in porch is where you want to spend most of your time. Bonus is the huge backyard that makes my big dog so happy.

King Guest House| 2BD 1BA | 4 min from UF

LizRating, 5 stars1 month ago
First time staying here, I have stayed in about 20 different Airbnb‘s in Gainesville over the years. This is one of the nicest and definitely one of the coolest! It has this really Zen feeling to it. Love the private walkway to the entrance, has a nice covered lounge for two which we hung out on at night. Love the fountain out there and the beautiful mural. The room itself was great. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, plenty of extra linens and towels, lots of hot water, clean, ample parking. One note, if you have a third person with you, the futon is not the most comfortable to sleep on, but not a big deal. And swing looking out the french doors! What a fun and unique perk. Also, Lonie equipped the room with a complementary bottle of wine and several snack items and of course, coffee fixings. He was immediately responsive whenever I had a question or request, he adjusted the check-in when we arrived early and gave us an extra half hour for checkout. Super host.

Tiny Farmhouse on The Grove

SallyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was the perfect place for my needs. I was visiting family for a few days only a mile from Chelsey's Tiny Farmhouse. Due to their current circumstances they were unable to put me up overnight for my time with them. It only took minutes to be with them for the day before returning to the Tiny Farmhouse for the night.

Shanti Tiny Home - Alachua Forest Sanctuary

SalimataRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place is a slice of heaven on earth. I had such a wonderful time staying there that I forgot about my checkout date…literally and got a rude awakening (as kindly said as possible) from a nap that it was past time I left lol. I was so beside myself I argued that it wasn’t time to leave. It is a lovely home away from home, tiny and beyond cute. Gary was always available for help with anything, even when I was having an irrational meltdown from a tiny caterpillar who found its way in somehow, he came by (yes I called freaking out), listened to my nonsense and fear without judgement and told me a great story of people getting over their phobias. By the time I left I was petting little caterpillars outside, that’s just how awesome Gary is. I plan to comeback and will definitely stay at Shanti again. Thank you so much.

Blue Gator Container, 2 miles from UF!

Brandy LeighRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This was the perfect place for me & I will absolutely rent here again if/when I return to Gainsville. The property was private, quiet, safe, clean, very comfortable (the bed was amazing), and the trees surrounding with the deck lighting was beautiful! I also loved that there was an Echo dot (Alexa) inside so that I could easily listen to my favorite music. I'm so glad I found this place and the hosts were... perfect hosts! Thank you for allowing me to rent your amazing Blue Gator home! A+++ from me! And whoever built/put together this unit did a great job! Everything inside was solid, stable, and really well built. Great quality all around. Y'all should be proud!
