Our stay at 1510 Jenkins Neck Rd in Hayes, VA, was a peaceful and rejuvenating escape. The home is beautifully maintained, with an open layout that allows natural light to fill the space. We appreciated the tasteful coastal décor and the clean, well-equipped kitchen, which made meal preparation enjoyable. The expansive deck provided a perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning views of the York River. The surrounding area is quiet and serene, offering a true retreat from daily life. The host was attentive and ensured our stay was comfortable. We highly recommend this property for a tranquil waterfront getaway.

You will love absolutely everything about this place, located directly on a beautiful peaceful cove. Absolutely spotless inside, everything you could possibly need - from bug repellent to doggie bags to crab traps and canoes. The pictures truly don't do the place justice. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and gorgeous surroundings, this is it. Stop browsing and book!

Sweet place, sweetest people! I spent 3 very peaceful weeks with Evelyn and Company, in a very quiet and relaxing environment. The home has been left mostly in its original form and is very organic and peaceful. My privacy was well-respected, but at the same time, the innkeepers were fun and interesting whenever I saw them. Good surroundings for walks or a bike ride. The roosters and chickens are a very beautiful variety and are fun to watch and listen to; they even seemed to greet me with a cock a doodle doo whenever I arrived back to the property! Lol The room was bright and sunny, and just as pictured. The bathroom has been updated in a very pleasant way. All linens are white and sparkling clean. I could have stayed there forever. I really hated to leave!

Sue was a great host, and her place was just as she described. The location was perfect, very close to Williamsburg attractions.

Host was super responsive with any questions we had during our stay! She was super flexible with our check-in and check-out times. The place was beautiful and my friends and I had such a wonderful time kayaking/paddle boarding on the water. Overall, our stay was amazing and we will definitely book again! Thanks for everything!

This was a short trip for a bachelor/bachelorette party. Everyone who was coming was so impressed and was like we wish we were staying here longer than one night! Mary was very responsive and even popped out and said welcome when we arrived! Definitely would recommend this place for a fun get away! The bonfire was definitely a recommended opportunity! Beautiful, large home in a secluded area. Wonderful for our family of five with gorgeous views and convenient to historical points of interest. Is definitely on our list for a return visit!

I stayed here for a few days while tackling a large work project. The peaceful location was amazing and I didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely be back with family to enjoy all of the awesome activities Marc has available at the property!

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

Mystic Is a quaint, clean and welcoming houae. All details from pictures to knick knacks create a complete theme. Instructions were easy and thoughtful. Communications were prompt and thorough. This home and its owners create a perfect sanctuary.

Simply the best AirBNB we have been to! A wonderful location to rest, relax and tune out all the noise! We loved the house, the little touches made it warm and inviting. The outdoor spaces we private and well thought out. The location was amazing! We can’t wait to come back! We already discussed coming back in the fall. If there is one thing I would mention it is to check your dog very well for ticks, especially this time of the year. I forgot to bring a brush/comb for our pup and ended up making a quick trip to Walmart to buy one after we found a few ticks on him - but I should mention he is only about 3” off the ground (he is a mini doxie) and he loves to roll around in the grass! Just a word of caution if you are bringing your furry friends - don’t forget the comb and their flea/tick meds! But even that couldn’t spoil our amazing trip!

This was my second stay at Kathy’s and it was great. The location is perfect. Within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and a local brewery. And the fenced in yard was perfect for my pups.

So thankful for this location. We were in town for a wedding and the house is big enough for us to have our immediate family over for lunch. So peaceful and quiet. if we are ever in the area again I will come back!

Our trip to The Half Shell Haven was great! The place was clean, extremely well stocked, and included many extras! We had crazy weather the first two days, but we had plenty to do at the house. My boys loved being on the water and the game room and my daughter loved the hot tub and bicycling. My daughters service dog enjoyed a nice reprieve and seemed so happy. We had a great time, and were honestly sad to go! If we find ourselves back up in Virginia we will definitely stay here! Thank you for the care and attention to detail to ensure a great trip!

Beautiful, private, peaceful location. wonderful to have kayaks, canoes and all the life jackets available. Space to spread out in all different sitting areas including outdoor fire pit.
