Family-friendly vacation rentals in West Chester

Mr. Bill made accommodations when the Airbnb I had originally planned for fell through. He made the transition quick and even made sure my weekend was blocked off at the new Airbnb and not compromising our plans. Forever grateful for the last minute switch

Sue’s place is a perfect peaceful getaway by the bay. Close enough to restaurants to enjoy a break from cooking, too! The cottage is as described, but the workmanship of the renovations are exceptional. The design and decor add so much to this cozy place. We’d be delighted to return!

Place was very beautiful and was such a nice area, definitely recommend driving over to Columbia during your stay. Place was a bit more renovated than the pictures which was a nice surprise.

The perfect house for a long weekend with friends. We very comfortably fit six adults and five kids (ages 5, 4, 2, 1 and 1). So well equipped for families with a crib in the master bedroom and tons of toys and games. Lots of places to hang out from the beautiful screened in porch to the open layout upstairs and game room downstairs. The location is incredible… a front yard full of horses (you’re living amongst the farms) and a very short drive to the activities we chose. Highly recommend checking out Cherry Crest Farm, Strasbourg train and Dutch Wonderland. Across the street from the house is an Amish stand with fresh baked goods and strawberries. For food, Lancaster Brewing co was fantastic as well as Speckled Hen. Can’t wait to come back!

Staying at Todd’s place was so relaxing . Our little one had a 3 day weekend off from school and we wanted to get out of the city for a couple days to explore Lancaster, PA. Todd’s home felt more than a place to rest your heads after a long day, but rather a true home away from home. From watching the little birds eat from the bird feeder, relaxing on the hammock, to playing fetch in the yard with my little dog, Todd’s aesthetically pleasing home was the perfect companion to a fun filled weekend in Lancaster. Thank you so much Todd for sharing your space with us. We truly appreciate it.

We traveled to Philadelphia for a work conference and brought our kids. The place was wonderful for traveling with our two young boys. There was plenty of space for them to sleep and play. They send very clear directions that are easy to follow. It’s very well equipped for a condo in the city - it has a washer dryer and parking. It was very convenient. They are very responsive hosts.

This place was clean and she answered all my questions. I would book this place again.

My parents had a wonderful stay at Elliot's Garden Apartment in New Hope, and found everything to their liking. I was worried about the bed or pillows not being to their liking (since they are seniors and with age have become more sensitive to a firm mattress), but they assured me over and again that they slept very comfortably. The complementary coffee and creamer supply was a much appreciated and thoughtful detail. Our daughter also met Susan and her friendly dog Foxy and now asks when are we going back to the airbnb so she can play with her. Elliot was always ready to help answer any questions in a prompt and polite manner. It truly felt like a "home away from home"!

Great location, spacious, well-decorated, managed by a responsive and cheerful and proactive host -- the White House was a perfect choice for my family of 4 during our recent trip to Princeton Reunions! And our host Natalia could not have been more accommodating, from thoughtful arrival gifts, flexibility on checkout timing, and even her (very welcome and surprising) overnighting of a replacement coffeemaker carafe, once she learned the original version had an issue. Amazing touches, contributing to a perfect stay. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic home in a beautiful neighborhood. Close proximity to Philadelphia sports venues, museums and Center City. The house was immaculately clean, spacious, and inviting. Evelyn is a wonderful host, we highly recommend her property!

Great location. Relatively quiet. Very walkable. A variety of restaurants and coffee shops within a few blocks. Friendly neighbors. All the amenities I needed for a few nights’ stay. Alberto and Xavier were very responsive and helpful during my stay. I would definitely stay here on a future visit!

Being there instantly transported me to my grandparents’ home — it was that comforting, that soulful. This was more than a stay; it was an experience of home, heart, and hospitality. Beautiful sustainable farm! Our kids loved interacting with the animals and picking and eating the fresh fruits and vegetables from their varied farm. Nancy and Richard were wonderful hosts and gave a wealth of farming knowledge and experience. We definitely got a lot more than we anticipated! We all had a lovely stay and hope to visit again!

This was our 2nd time staying at Rachel’s house and we fell in love even more. It’s the perfect location, close to many activities in Amish Country yet very private. You can see the horse and buggies driving by from the front window & horses working the back field. The pool is stunning and is so much fun for all ages! The house was extremely clean and had everything we could ever need or want! Rachel provided many local recommendations & all were amazing! Our favorites were Agape Cafe & Countryside Roadstand for food and Linden Coffee for coffee. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in Lancaster area!

Julia and Joe were wonderful hosts for our Memorial Day weekend getaway! My husband, our dog, and I had such a relaxing time at their beautiful property. We loved spending evenings by the pool and grilling out - it felt like a true home away from home. The grounds were perfect for our pup to explore and play. Julia and Joe were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

A Perfect Weekend Getaway! We had such a memorable stay at this alpaca farm! From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel right at home — they were so kind and genuinely conversational, which set a warm tone for the whole visit. The alpacas were definitely a highlight — such a unique and charming experience, especially for my daughter who absolutely adored them. It’s not every day you get to hang out with alpacas in such a relaxed and welcoming setting! The pool, hands down, was our favorite part — clean, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding. The ambiance throughout the property was peaceful and serene, exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in the carriage house, which was spotless and beautifully maintained — cozy, quiet, and perfect for our little family. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different, relaxing, and full of charm. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
