Very nice cabin at a great location. Just a few minutes drive from the center of Pigeon Forge. Cabin was very well supplied which meet all our needs. Snowed all night and we were still able to get back to main roads with no issues. Highly recommend.

Eagles Ridge Retreat | Hot Tub & Peaceful Views

KathieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tucked Away So perfectly named. So perfectly peaceful. This sweet cabin is just minutes to everything, but still nestled in the hills for that ultimate time away with nature. Tucked Away was stocked with the basics we needed to get going. Just add food and you! The space was large and super clean! Fireplace 👍🏻 kitchen equipped 👍🏻 Comfy beds 👍🏻 fluffy towels 👍🏻 Washer and dryer 👍🏻 hot tub 👍🏻 pool table 👍🏻 outdoor grill 👍🏻 park at your door 👍🏻 Our host Daniel was the best! Questions were very quickly answered and Daniel continued to check in daily with great tips on things to do and see throughout our stay! Tucked Away was everything we hoped for! We could not have enjoyed our stay more! Thank you Daniel for providing a great place to retreat to after a full day of exploring Pigeon Forge and the thrill rides of Dollywood!

Hot Tub* 9 Miles to Great Smoky Mtn National Park

ShwetaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great time in the cabin. The host was very responsive and gave us clear instructions about the Airbnb and gave us an hour free checkout. We had a great time with the jacuzzi too. Just that we didn’t get any bodywash, that we usually expect in the Airbnb so we had to buy our own. Jacuzzi is open and faces towards the highway. The bed was way near the wooden ceiling and i think we kind of hit our head 3/4 times💀. Other than that we had an amazing stay. Peaceful at night and cozy.

TIMBER RIDGE LODGE Airbnb number 20074293

ChristopherRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was a beautiful cabin decorated for Christmas. We stay the week of Christmas 2024 and their was 12 of us, 6 kids and 6 adults. The cabin worked wonderful for us. It was large enough with the upstairs and the basement that each of my family had their own space to relax. The fireplace worked wonderfully, the kids and grandkids enjoyed s'mores over the fire. It was a true pleasure to relax and enjoy family. The weather was also excellent, we could stay out on the back deck and enjoy the views of all the mountains.

Can’t thanks Michelle and Janson enough to let us stay in their beautiful home. It was so nice and relaxing! We have never been to Gatlinburg and really didn’t know what to expect. Sightseeing everyday but the best part was to come back and sit on their quiet deck. The house was clean, equipped with everything we needed. Michelle and Jason were great to work with and went the extra effort to help us! If we come back- we will be staying here! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you again!!

Sunflower Cabin w/secluded location

BryanRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Rhonda’s place is a definitely a hidden gem! My accommodations had fallen through and Rhonda was extremely helpful, responsive, and friendly. My dog and I felt right at home. The area is really beautiful and the location could not have been more secluded. As far as “primitive cabins” go, this setup is the best value you’re going to come across. Also make sure to pet their friendly office bear!

JanisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Place was awesome and would love to stay again! Place was very clean and peaceful! Loved being able to have pets even if I don’t have any! The front porch was great! Sat outside and watched a woodpecker and a deer (no bear)😦!! If you’re a bird watcher bring your binoculars because you will see plenty! There are three outdoor seating areas to be together or sit privately! The hot tub was well used on our trip! Jazmine communicated promptly and kept us well informed! Keep up the great work jazmine and air bnb

Garden of Eden Cabins Sanitized, private, secluded

LeannRating, 5 stars2 months ago
If you are looking to be out of the chaos but still close enough to not spend a lot of time driving this is the place! The house is secluded, aside from the property behind the fire pit area but we never really saw anyone other than their dog who likes to visit! The porch does not have rails to protect blind dogs or children from falling so use caution! (Wasn’t an issue but was something to keep in mind with our dog. The creek was exactly as described, a lullaby. We fell asleep each night to the sound. If you are traveling with your dogs, be sure to check out bringfido to find all of the dog friendly restaurants and activities nearby. We definitely cannot wait to go back! Our dog Pipton found to hidden balls while we were visiting and we were sure to leave them behind for others when they visit. Be respectful as we saw damage had been done to a door due to a previous dog being locked up in the bedroom.

Summer Savings! Fast Wi-Fi! Dog Friendly!

EricRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Uncle Tom's Cabin is private and feels secluded, almost like it's own little world. My partner and I enjoyed the ambience of the electric fire logs without needing the heat. The hot tub on the private porch has all the heat you need. The beds were nice with plenty of pillows to find that just right place to lay your head. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

My family and I had such a fun stay at Anna’s place! It was such a good distance from the main strip of Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. The house itself was a cute little cabin close to the road. It was charming and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a great addition as well! We had a great time here this weekend!

Your guide to Wears Valley

Introduction

Nestled at the foot of the Smoky Mountains, Wears Valley is a beautiful, scenic getaway known as the quieter side of the Smokies even though it’s only a short drive from tourist hubs like Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg. The valley’s modest footprint lends it a small-town feel, though it’s technically unincorporated. Wears Valley offers panoramic mountain views, painted by foliage that changes colors as the seasons turn. With easy access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a handful of charming, rural detours on the way, Wears Valley makes a cozy and convenient home base for a Smoky Mountains vacation.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Wears Valley

Largely independent of weather systems affecting the Smoky Mountains, Wears Valley has its own subclimate. Summers in the valley are typically hot and humid, with temperatures in the high 80s Fahrenheit. Hazy days are common, but begin to clear in the fall as temperatures become cooler. By November, when the first snow is dusting the Smokies, the valley remains mild: daytime highs are in the 50s, with temperatures dipping just below freezing at night, making it a cozy time to stay in one of the area’s cabins for rent. Dressing in layers is helpful, especially during spring and fall in case of inclement rain showers, or even snow. But for the most part, weather in Wears Valley is fairly predictable, unlike the extremities up on the mountain.

Top things to do in Wears Valley

Headrick Chapel

Though it looks unassuming, this modest white chapel on Highway 321 is a significant marker of Wears Valley’s civic history. For more than 70 years prior to its construction, locals had gathered for funerals under a large oak tree shading the adjacent cemetery. When lightning struck the tree after a crowded outdoor service in 1902, construction on a chapel went full-steam ahead. It was completed that summer, with a deed specifically stating that it be shared among the valley’s various denominations; it is now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Metcalf Bottoms Trail

Spanning more than 522,000 acres, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is, hands-down, the region’s biggest draw, which can result in crowded entrances during peak season. Locals know to skip the park’s main east and west entrances, and instead take Line Springs Road to Metcalf Bottoms. The 1.2-mile dirt trail is well worn for easy navigation and takes visitors past the Little Greenbrier School, a well-preserved log-cabin school from 1882.

Covered Bridges

One of the best ways to explore the backroads of Wears Valley is with a driving tour to Sevier County’s pair of covered bridges. The Harrisburg was built in 1875 and is on the National Register of Historic Places, while Emerts Cove was built in 2000 as an homage to the local style. Both provide lovely photo opportunities of the Little Pigeon River and the region’s flora and fauna.
