Beautiful quiet area just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cozy farmhouse with everything you could possibly need. Tracey was a great accommodating host and communicated well. If ever in this area again we would love to stay again.

This is a beautiful house- inside and outside! The hosts have carefully covered all the details. There is plenty to do here. Can just rest and enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife. Or go to local points of interest. Highly recommend.

My husband and I came to Mt. Airy for the whole week of Mayberry Days. We were pleased with the house. We felt we could relax and enjoy ourselves. We used the bedroom off the living room and found both the mattress and pillows to be comfortable, so we slept well during out 8-day stay. The bathroom is nice and spacious with two sinks and a large and well-lit mirror. I appreciated that not only were there two TV's but each had a DVD player, something you don't always find. I was able to watch the "Andy Griffith Show" DVD's I had brought with me. The front porch, which is really more like a deck, made a great place for reading and eating with a fabulous view of the mountains. The only thing that put a damper on our stay was the weather. Because of Hurricane Helene, we had a lot of rain. Catherine and her husband were very responsive and did their best to make our stay as good as it could be. If you like peace, quiet, privacy, and a nice view, you will like the Golden Cottage!

I cannot brag about this stay enough. From the start, the drive into the property was breathtaking. The pictures just don’t to the view justice but it’s one of those MUST see for yourself to fully appreciate the beauty! Marissa was so sweet, helpful and VERY responsive. This was the perfect cozy little get away that my husband and I were looking for. We enjoyed walking the trail and taking in the scenery. We simply didn’t want to leave. We will return soon.

We chose Finn's Folly based upon a friend's recommendation and this cozy, peaceful cottage did not disappoint. The decor is homey and features whimsical representations of bears, sheep and dogs. There is no need to bring reading material because the shelves are filled with books on a wide variety of topics. The weather was starting to turn cold in October, but slept very well on a comfortable bed made up with flannel sheets. Located on a gravel road, Finn's Folly is in a very peaceful and quiet location, that is convenient to the great outdoor experiences of the Blue Ridge. We enjoyed exploring the town of Floyd, which includes a coffee roaster, a chocolate shop and a bistro with a French vibe and food that features local ingredients. Kathryn and Mark were highly responsive and very welcoming hosts. When we discovered that we had left an item behind, Kathryn took immediate steps to remedy the situation. Our week-long stay was over become we knew it and we hope to return soon.

My daughter and grandchildren loved staying at Blue Willow cabin. It was beautifully decorated and cozy. I loved the peaceful surroundings and the porch was nice for coffee in the morning. The house was well stocked and comfortable. Our only issue was arriving after dark and we did have to call to get directions.

We were very comfortable in Heather's loft. Just right home base for local hiking and touring. Bob loved the piano and i loved his playing. We ate out two nights of three, both nights at Olde Mill Golf resort. Laid back reasonable restaurant 5 minutes away. Thank you Heather.
