Boutique hotel vacation rentals in Upham Beach Park

We loved staying at Kathy’s place. It was a wonderful oasis, with a beautiful and relaxing pool area. We ran into Kathy’s brother Jim multiple times while outside and got great recommendations for things to do in the area (Get Up and Go kayaking at Shell Key Preserve!!) and also asked to make sure our stay was top notch. They had nice chairs, umbrellas, and a few tents that can be used for your beach trips (we used the chairs and umbrella, which are essential). Bonus points for being super walkable to the beach *and* all the restaurants/bars in the area.

Me and two friends had the most amazing stay here! The beach was a super easy walk and there were many walkable restaurants and bars. The hotel was super clean, had everything you could need, and the bed was very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the cute courtyard right outside. It was a perfect spot to enjoy morning breakfast! Hosts and crew were super friendly and responsive and helped us get any extra necessities. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the experience!

Great stay! The room was very clean, Kathy was communicative. I met her brother Jim on the property and they were willing to help with everything and anything.

This place is a gem if you appreciate the classic motel vibes and throwback to a more laid back era. All of the employees we interacted it with were friendly, funny, and helpful. There were a few times some other guests were bending rules and their responses really strike a great balance between addressing the violation without making anyone feel uncomfortable or defensive. The location was unbeatable - a direct walk out to the beach. The Happy Hour beer was no craft brew but honestly perfect for the beach, and ice cold to boot. Shuffleboard and corn hole added to the charm. Free parking right by our room made things easy. We also really appreciated the green efforts - real coffee mugs to grab some coffee and fixed shampoo/conditioner dispensers to avoid small bottle waste. If you’re a light sleeper note that ceilings aren’t super well insulated so we heard a lot of happy little feet running above us. For us, it was part of the charm, but it might not float everyone’s boat

Kathy and the Gulfside resort was a 10/10 for us!!! She greeted us and made us feel very welcome from the check in! Everything in our room was perfect! We absolutely loved how she had her own recommendations on what to do around St. Pete’s Beach! Our poolside room was amazing! Probably about a 3 minute walk from the beach which we absolutely loved! Definitely will be returning!

We had an incredible time staying at Kathy’s place in St. Pete Beach. The location of the bnb was perfect walking distance to the beach and plenty of food spots. We also visited Zoo Tampa, downtown St. Petersburg and other local attractions that were all within a reasonable driving distance. The beach was beautiful, crystal clear water and was very clean. The unit itself was clean, the pool was awesome and we felt like it provided everything we needed for our little getaway from Philly. Thanks again for hosting us :)

This place is the photo gallery but better - vibrant and kitschy and whimsical. Carefully decorated and fun. We spent most of the evening in the hot tub, which was such a perfect and private luxury. The area is not metropolitan - so if you like privacy and spaciousness, you’re going to love it! Mike was friendly and gave us great recos for local eats. The only downside is the distance from downtown, since commuter traffic makes the drive longer. But if you’re not hoping to pop back and forth between downtown Tampa and here too many times during your stay, it’s a dream! We’d stay again and heat the pool too next time. It’s so nice!

This place was a gem and I am so happy we found it! I have 2 words for this listing. Steam Shower! I chose this room based on that huge steam shower. We arrived right at check in. The host had sent us very clear instructions and our code. With the easy instructions we got right in our room. Everything was clearly labeled. The bed in the room was lumpy and sunk in the middle, but who cares? That steam shower was a dream. I used it within an hour of checking in. The city was amazing, the restaurants and the sight seeing was incredible. But the absolute best was that shower! I showered 3 times in my 2 day stay. I can't say it enough, Steam Shower! It was so luxurious and I didnt really want to go back to real life after the stay at the Blue Bayou. We stayed here before our cruise. I wanted to cancel the cruise and just keep staying in that shower! We are planning a return trip. The rest of the home was super nice. We ate pizza on the porch in rocking chairs! Love this place so much!

The resort is beautiful and located very close to the beach and area restaurants. It felt very private. We enjoyed the patio each morning and evening. The room was well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

I really appreciate this place! I booked one night & it was the percent getaway! the room is spacious for 2 or maybe 3 people, it has controlled A/C remote, great scenery with LED lights, drapes & a very nice bathroom. the bathroom and outside area is the best it was beautiful, i love you used your land to create a luxurious getaway hotel. the host responds fast with anything you ask & a very friendly area!

My stay at Blue Bayou was brief—just one night—and I didn’t really use any of the common dining or kitchen areas. So, I can’t speak to those amenities, except to say they seemed well equipped and comfortable. But, the host accommodated my request to store my bike indoors, the large smart TV came in handy for a late night movie, and the in-room shower was cavernous with high water pressure. Check-in was super easy, and I had good local beers and food within a few minutes’ walk. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Blue Bayou was a very comfortable, clean, and convenient stay in close proximity to downtown Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Docks. Melissa, our host, ensured that there were very clear instructions everywhere. If you missed something, it was because you did not take the time to read. We didn’t get a chance to use any of the many available amenities…fully equipped kitchen, deck & grill, beach chairs & towels, bikes, kayaks, etc. We were constantly on the go and even forgot to sign the “Welcome Book”! The common areas of the house are tastefully decorated and the property itself is very welcoming…warm, cozy, & inviting. I will mos def be a repeat guest at the Blue Bayou! We will absolutely be back. We stay in the Coral Resort every year for the week of July 4. This has been one of our favorite rooms. Robert and Juana are extremely caring, accommodating, and responsive. Room has updated renovations and feels really private as well. Resort is close to so many restaurants and shops, walkable. Love staying on the bay and being an easy walk to the beach. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!
