Cabin vacation rentals in Somerset County

Beautiful stay in the wilds of Pennsylvania. Lot of amenities, including a wonderful hot tub situated under a metal roof. It rained while we were in the hot tub and it was the most peaceful time. The closest town with a restaurant, groceries, and gas is only 15 minutes. Seven springs is about 25 minutes. The neighbors can be grouchy, so make sure you mind the speed limit

We celebrated my sisters 40th birthday and the cabin was perfect. All the girls fit comfortably and the hot tub was an awesome amenity! Sara was extremely responsive to any questions/concerns. The cabin was exactly as it was described in the listing. I definitely plan to rent from Sara again in the future!

This is the second time I have stayed at Kim’s cabin! My friends and I absolutely love this Airbnb! Clean, Quiet, Spacious, Hot Tub, and much more! I recommend it highly!

Simply magical ✨💫 WOW! Laurel Lodge was just amazing. Nestled up in the mountains with a spectacular setting! “Over the creek and through the woods!” The enormous wall of windows at night time was stunning. Hanging out in the hot tub under the stars was over the top special. Sitting up til wee hours curled up in front of roaring fireplace, wine in hand w/ my 2 nieces laughing, crying and talking was just what we needed. Laughed so hard while snow tubing we split ribs. It was such a magnificent trip! My fur baby lovvvvvvved all the snow! Mary was so kind, responsive and receptive. As an AirBnB connoisseur this was definitely bumped to my top places! Such a great place w/ a gracious host and we will absolutely be back to the Laurel Lodge….❤️❤️❤️

Such an amazing house, the perfect place for a quiet getaway weekend! Shea was incredibly kind and provided all the info we needed for the perfect check-in and stay. The property was gorgeous and had the best amenities - we enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and overall charming and rustic vibe of the property, I wish we could’ve stayed longer!! The location was perfect, less than 20 minutes to the nearby Seven Springs ski resort. It was the perfect house to unwind and relax after a long day of skiing. Our group all absolutely loved it, thank you for having us Shea!!!

This cabin was a perfect weekend get away and super close to the seven springs resort. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best but the cozy cabin and hot tub made up for it. We look forward to coming back next year.

Todd’s place was awesome. There were a lot of games and things to do and he left us a bunch of firewood. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot or a better host. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Such a perfect private setting. We loved how private and accessible it was to Ohio Pyle. Lots to do at the cabin. We had fires, enjoyed the screened in porches, grilled burgers, we played in the creek, and hiked the 20 acres! The cabin had every amenity, was spotless and so cozy. We felt at home and will definitely be back next year for the fall colors. The location was close to all the Laurel Highlands has to offer. Thank you for the memories! You know it’s awesome when the kids cry because it was time to leave. Best cabin ever!

A pretty basic place but was a good value. Very close to 7 Springs which is key. Easy in and out.

Great cabin with plenty of amenities. Rustic but also easy to navigate utilities. For instance if you are not comfortable using a wood burning stove they have an hvac unit and electric heaters in every room. Located near many attractions such as ski resorts. Eateries of all types in the area as well as hometown general stores and antique shops. As a pet friendly cabin, love how they cater to our 4 legged friends with dogs bowls and toys readily available !! The only wish I would have and it’s nothing the owners can do about … just note .. there are other houses near the cabin. Still a quiet setting but if you do want to escape reality from people for a few days … you might run in to a few .. but they do all wave hi to you.

We had a great ski weekend at Deer Cabin, conveniently located to several ski centers for both downhill and cross country skiing. The cabin is so warm and cozy while sitting by the big beautiful fireplace and enjoying the awesome views outside of the snowy woods and creek. Our 2 Aussies loved running around in the snowy woods-we always appreciate hosts who allow us to bring our pups along. Stephen and Cameron were both very responsive and friendly hosts. We would love to return for both skiing and hiking and biking in the warmer months. We would highly recommend Deer Cabin!

This is a lovely cabin tucked away from the road in a quiet setting. It was a perfect fit for two families with two bedrooms/baths on the main floor and two bedrooms with one bath upstairs. The huge loft with foosball and air hockey were perfect for the kids. The main room has a huge stone fireplace with plenty of wood provided for the weekend. We choose this cabin because it is just minutes from Seven Springs so its a perfect spot for a getaway ski weekend.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. The beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was nice and hot. There were lots of fireflies in the yard. It was close to Ohiopyle and Fallingwater. All around it was great!

David’s cabin is very clean and just like the photos and description. We would stay here again!

perfect location for snowmobiling, can ride right to trails from house and they do not plow the roads in the village down to nothing. it is great for the area!

This Mountain Nights Lodge house was a wonderful respite for us to take an overnight ski trip. It was heavily renovated and had character yet functionality in each room. The Great Room was our favorite while the kitchen had a great nook for coffee and reading and for the views outside. We tried the Out of the Forest Cafe in Donegal 5 minutes away and it was delightful. Be prepared for a challenging hill up to the house if there is heavy snow, you need an AWD or 4WD to traverse it. Heat coverage for this sizable house can be a challenge when it’s sub zero temperatures, but there is a wood belle burning fireplace which is a rustic touch. Kwame was excellent with responsiveness and can tell he truly cares about the guest having a positive experience.

We loved staying in the Beaverdam cabin! The fireplace and steps going up to the loft is such a wonderful feature. It was clean with all the usual amenities you’d need. We really loved the look and feel of the cabin and the surroundings were just secluded and wooded enough that you didn’t care or notice the other houses, you still felt private. The entire place was cozy and warm, we didn’t leave except to have dinner at the Green Gables Restaurant which was very good. The restaurant has the same cozy, quaint atmosphere as the cabin and the food was fantastic; would highly suggest if you don’t mind splurging a bit for a fancier dinner. We will probably come back again for another stay.

There wasn't much communication other than what was mainly pre-written "welcome, thanks for staying, here's the code" kind of messages. everything was well explained and well stocked so there wasn't a need to communicate further during our stay. House was very clean and well maintained. loved how close to the slopes it was and the shuttle service was very nice. a little expensive in my opinion but pretty on par with other houses and being close to 7springs. overall a good stay and would consider staying here again.

Great place, cozy, quiet, nicely equipped. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

We loved staying at Fernwood this weekend. We had three families of four for a weekend getaway from Pittsburgh. The den was perfect for the six young kids in our group, who were very excited about sharing a room for sleepovers and playing with all the wonderful toys in there. The other bedrooms were very comfortable for the adults, and the house had a large living room for lounging and kitchen for cooking. Christina was a wonderful host, sending tons of info and recommendations up front and replying to our questions within minutes. We highly recommend the property for other guests!
