Hostel vacation rentals in Scandinavia

The place doesn't make it easy to check in at first glance, but it was simple, just unusual!

Lovely and peaceful place, the hostel is very clean and quiet, with a nice welcome If you cross the area you should stop here for one night !

Excellent location in the central Helsinki, just few minutes from the main railway station. Easy access to lots of restaurants, shops and attractions via walking and with great public transport options too. Great price for a group of friends traveling together.

I stay 2 days in the Furu hostel and it’s was very nice. You have all the necessary amenities, including a boiler room to dry your clothes/shoes (very useful after a rainy day).

The Apartment at Giellajohka was the perfect place to stay! The accomodations were clean and perfect for our family, the restaurant was quite close and food was delicious. Everyone was very friendly, with sleds and walking trails (xc skis and snowshoes were offered but we didn't get the chance to use them). There were reindeer to watch, which the kids loved! The aurora text was the best idea, and because of it we saw an incredible display during our night there! Wish we had stayed longer to xc ski, utilize the sauna, and just enjoy it more!

The place was all around wonderful! Very clean, large, a nice ambience, everything very lovingly furnished! Communication with Jari was always quick and straightforward. However, it is secluded from the city, unfortunately not a good connection to public transport, so it is difficult to get away without a car.

I really enjoyed staying at Alisa's place. She is so kind and sweet. She cleans the hostel daily and helps guests with local recommendations/tours. I did not receive the check in details prior to arriving but Alisa responded within 1 minute of me reaching out as I waited outside (awesome!). The hostel is located in a great spot; very walkable within the city: 15mins walk to the railway station and less than 10mins walk to local restaurants etc in the city. It is about a 5mins walk to the bus stop which takes you to the Santa Claus Village. The hostel also has some breakfast cereals, teas and coffees which are free to the guests. My only recommendation would be to find a way to install dividers/stalls in the toilet because right now it is two toilets side by side with a sink. It wasnt a problem for me as I locked the door behind me and used it privately, but the space can be maximized with stalls installed. I would stay here again if I return to Rovaniemi!
