A professional pastry chef with many years of experience will guide you through the different baking techniques and tips including kneading, rolling and folding the dough with butter. We will make a selection of traditional and delicious Danish pastries (Wienerbrød). You can bring the rest of them home to share with your family. You work in stations of 2 so if you book this alone, please be aware that you will be paired with another baking enthusiast. We will explore the white and beautiful winter with skies on our feet, the true Norwegian way! I will provide all skiing equipment for you at your arrival. This is for you that have not been skiing a lot before, but wants to try. The main idea for this trip is for you to have fun together! To try something new, to eat something good (typical Norwegian cross-country food), and to have fun together with skies on your feet. I might also challenge you with some fun activities. This is an excellent experience to get to know each other, see great nature and have fun. Throughout the experience we will also take some nice pictures. We start off at our meeting point at Skullerud Metro station ( Line 3 towards Mortensrud from Oslo central station, 20 minutes ride.). From here we will find the right equipment for you to be ready, and then we start off by exploring the area of Østmarka. In the beginning you will get a small introduction for basic techniques to get started, and from there on, its a lot of "learning by doing". and I will of course give you some pointers along the way if needed. During the trip we will take a nice break to enjoy and heat up with some Traditional Norwegian skiing snack. Depending on the weather, the destination and meeting point might change, so that we get to the best skiing conditions. If so, you will be notified in advance. Other things to note This experience is open for everybody. There is no demand for level, or expectations to perform. This is an experience of pure joy in good company, trying something new and having fun together as a group.

Accommodation also possible at our log-cabin at the farm Espen & Delphine will welcome you at their farm, and ensure that you always feel safe & comfortable. At your arrival, we will equip you with good winter clothes so that you stay warm during the trip. Then we will take you in our kennel to meet our dogs up-close and personal. You will be taught how to handle a team of huskies, and we will explain what Alaskan huskies are, their origin, their history and of course why we have them today. After a short briefing, we are ready to head out & explore the snowy forest by dogsled! We will be out on the trails, with beautiful views on majestic mountains, for +/- 2h. You need to be in reasonable shape, to help and walk / push the sled on the uphills, and break / hold the dogs on the downhills, since the terrain here is slightly challenging. During the trip we enjoy a typical Norwegian outdoor lunch (warm reindeer soup) at our campsite, and some snacks. We will also talk about our daily life with 30 dogs. At the end of this exciting excursion, we head back to the farm, for some warm drinks in our log cabin.

I will welcome you in my home in the design district, Punavuori. The plan for the evening is to create together a traditional Finnish meal consisting of a starter, a main course and dessert. You will get your hands dirty with peeling, chopping and kneading. Sounds like a lot? Finns like to keep things uncomplicated in all aspects of life - including cooking - so we will finish prepping on time. An example menu looks like: Lohikeitto (salmon soup) Lihapyörykät (Finnish meatballs) Korvapuusti (cinnamon rolls) THE MENU WILL CHANGE ACCORDING TO SEASON AND THE REQUEST OF GUESTS THAT SIGNED UP. While we are preparing dinner together, you will have the chance to learn about various exotic Nordic ingredients from the seas and forests exclusive to this region. At the dinner table we can then discuss the latest gossips of the Finnish gastro scene, and you can ask me for tips and recommendations where to eat next. You will also take home a printed version of the recipes with you, so you can share them with your friends and family when your vacation is over. Borealis Expedition is a local business providing guided northern lights tours in the Tromsø area. With a knowledge about the local area and by web cam, I will do my best to find this nights best area for viewing the northernlights. I will also try to drive you to the best spots for a scenic view where we can take pictures. Sometimes the chance of a clear sky is low, in that case I check the latest weather report at 5 pm If you want to enjoy the northern lights and avoid crowds, come with me on a trip. Join the Northern Lights experience in Tromsø and the surrounding area with a group of a maximum of six people! I have a meeting place at Kirkegata 2 (Tourist Shop Tromsø) close to the harbor. But it could be earlier if I have to drive to the Finnish border or further in to Finland. Sometimes the northern lights can start early so it is important that we drive as agreed. After a while I serve hot drinks (hot chocolate, coffee, tea) and some snacks. You can also borrow thermal suits and tripods. Of course, I have professional photography equipment with me so I can take pictures and portraits under the northern lights. We are meeting in Tromso, by the main Library. Then we are going for the HUNT. We are going to chase the northern lights, finding good weather and perfect spots to watch this beautiful lights. On the way we will make many stops to check the weather, to get to the restroom, note that later it might be no restrooms around us, so we will have to use wild nature. On the tour you will get hot drinks, snacks and a light meal. I'm gonna take pictures of you and northern lights, also I will have extra tripod for your camera if you will need it. Dog sled ride through the spectacular “Stordalen”! Join us on an unforgettable winter dog sled ride with our super-friendly huskies. You can drive a dog team and learn how to deal with a team of polar dogs! After a quick check of your gear (we have warm boots for you, if necessary), you will be involved in all the steps of handling a Husky team, from preparing the sled, to harnessing the dogs and to driving and steering a dog sled! Two persons share a sled and can swap driving halfway. That makes it also easier making photos. We drive into the beautiful and breathtaking valley “Stordalen”, surrounded by frozen waterfalls and high cliffs. After the tour, we warm up at the cozy campfire in our lavvo (tipi) with coffee and snacks. Here you have the opportunity to learn more about our way of life in the far north with more than 90 dogs. In good weather, the wonderful northern lights (Aurora Borealis) can be observed in the starry sky. Previous knowledge in dog sledding is not required. Anyone who is fit enough for cycling or skiing can take part in our adventure. You will get a thorough introduction in husky handling and maneuvering a dog sled. However, participating in these activities requires some physical strength and balance. Of course, you will get help from us in all tasks! Lapland in the winter is a beautiful place. Shades of colours are so defined that you can't explain with words how amazing a bright morning looks. Combine this with Dog Sledding, and life does not get much better. We will dress you in warm Arctic clothing and explain to you how the tour works. Every one of our dogs is more than happy to receive as much love, attention and cuddles you can supply before the tour start. On this tour, you are driven by our guide while you relax sitting on a big dog sled. Please note that up to 4 people can be on this sled, and the people can come from different groups. Then we head off into the crystal white forest, travelling through the Taiga, across pristine frozen lakes and endless glistening swamps, pulled by our huskies. When we can, we will also take some lovely pictures for you. When you return, you will get to feed your dog team a tasty treat, then join us in our cosy fire hut for a warm beverage and a nice snack to finish; you can also help to put the dogs back to their dog runs for some well-deserved rest.

I will pick you up from your accommodation and take you straight out of the city light pollution to the spot with the highest probability to see Northern lights. In case it is cloudy, then we visit 2-3 places to increase the chances to find a gap in the clouds. While waiting for the Northern Lights, we can enjoy hot drinks and snacks grilled on a campfire. Note, if you are vegetarian/vegan, let me know before the tour. In case you do not know the right setting for your camera to take photos of the Northern lights then I can help you and take photos of you with the Northern lights. If you do not have a camera, I know some good tips on how to take photos by your phone :) The 3-hour tour includes: -Guidance -Snacks grilled by the campfire and hot drinks Not included: -Overalls -Photos Please note: Northern lights are a natural phenomenon and there are no 100% chances to see it. Följ med hästarna och mig på en vandring genom skogen över berg och utmed sjö. Du kommer att få vara med på ett äventyr tillsammans med hästar och hundar där vi är de som följer djurens vägval.. Hästarna kommer att vara lösa (i den mån det går) när vi vandrar och det blir hästarna som visar oss vägen genom terrängen. Vi följer. Vandringen kan variera i tempo och i vägval beroende på vad hästarna beslutar sig för den dagen, men för det mesta så går det ganska lugnt framåt. Under själva vandringen så är vi tysta och fokuserar på det vi hör och ser och upplevelsen av att bara vara i naturen, utan några krav på resultat eller prestation Vid lämplig plats och tidpunkt så sitter vi ned i skogen och tar en paus. Jag bjuder på fika, kaffe och hembakad kanelbulle, (vill man ha något annat att äta så tar man med det själv, t ex en smörgås och något att dricka) Jag kommer berätta om hästarnas flockdynamik, och om hur alla individer samarbetar för flockens bästa. Det kommer att finnas utrymme för tankar och funderingar kring detta. Vi återvänder till vår gård och väl där så finns det möjlighet för den som vill, att dela med sig av det man upplevt under dagen. We will meet at the reception of your accommodation. We get in a car, then we escape from the city center, towards the spot near the lake (the estimated driving time from the city center around 15-20 minutes, depending on the condition of the road). We will light the fire after arrival if there was no fire already. During our aurora hunt we will enjoy the dark, traditional Finnish wood-fired sausages, hot berry juice or tea - traditional Finnish Christmas drink (depending on what I prepare for the day in Classes). In case we are lucky, I can take pictures of you. The photos can then be sent by email if you wish for an additional 25 euros fee per person. After the aurora hunt, you will be driven back to your accommodation. Note: There is no 100% guarantee that we will catch the Northern Lights, even with ideal sunny weather and activity conditions. It all depends on mother nature. Also winer overall with snow boots can be rented for an additional 10 euros.

Join the once in a lifetime Aurora hunting experience with a seasoned photographer. Former arctic tour guide with professional camera will lead you to the best spots by car (20-260km round trip) to maximise chance to see the northern lights. At the spot I provide a customised photo and video shooting session. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon that doesn’t like staying in the sky 24/7. We have to hit the arctic road, find the best spot for visibility and be equipped with proper set of camera to actually get them as photos and videos. THE PROCESS 1. This tour will take you on a guided northern lights hunt. We will travel from your accommodation to the optimal dark location away from the city centre. I will choose the location based on current weather conditions and cloud coverage to maximize our chances of viewing northern lights. If the weather will be cloudy, we could visit other locations to find a gap in the clouds. However, I can't guarantee a 100% chance of seeing Aurora. When we arrive at the location, there will be a warming campfire where you can enjoy a barbecue with snacks and hot drinks. Also, I will bring a professional camera to take photos of you with the Aurora. Two of my biggest passions are getting combined in the experience I offer. Photography and Outdoors life. From picking berries and the midnight sun during summer to get amazed by seeing the Northern lights above you in wintertime! Join me and my camera to create memories together! I am not a big fan of big groups, so don’t you worry! We will drive away from the city hunting the Northern Lights on our way, making nice (and funny) pictures.
