Basic Studio 🏝 1 Block To The Beach! Legally Zoned

DrewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very close to the beach like literally two minute walk, musubi Café right around the corner, marugame couple blocks away, very close to the strip the end of the strip. Will definitely try rent here again. Parking is a bitch, but I park at the canal every day. Don’t forget to move your car Monday and Friday. There’s no parking right outside of the building but you can stop there for a little bit and if you do get a ticket it’s only $35 might not be a bad option. lol

Kailua Beach Park - 1 BR Cottage

AndyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wow. This spot is the perfect location for three beaches: Kailua, Kalama, and Lanikai. Each one offers amazing views and sandy areas. You can do some snorkeling at Kailua or Lanikai. The Lanikai Pillbox Trail is a good one. The cottage had everything that I could need. The beach towel, cooler, and laundry were particularly valuable amenities for me. Thank you!

Lanikai Ohana Hale: Tropical Cottage w/Pool, Lanai

KelseyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved this place! It was definitely one of the more reasonable cost rentals in the Lanikai neighborhood but it didn’t disappoint. A few things of note: - the appliances are high end KitchenAide and Bosch. The cooktop is a two burner induction that you can put away when not in use. Toaster oven as well. Compact dishwasher and fridge is a one drawer fridge/ one drawer freezer that fits under counter - ample beach towels. Also beach chairs and umbrellas. - the pool was wonderful - less than 10 min walk to Lanikai Beach - do the pillbox hike up the ridge behind you if you want a good workout! We loved our week here. Always planned to cook out on the Weber grill but didn’t end up doing so. The patio was awesome at the end of each day and for morning coffee. Neighborhood was safe. Met the pest control guy and the pool guy while we were here- both really friendly. Would definitely choose this place again.

This was a great place to stay. Others had mentioned the airplane noise but we slept perfectly without a bother. The patio was enjoyable to sit and relax. If I could request anything it would be a washer and dryer, but other than that it was good. Very friendly and was helpful.

Private 2 Bed 2 Bath 2 Lanai

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
William's pad was conveniently located and clean. He was extremely accommodating and there were some nice bonuses like snorkeling gear and boogie boards that saved us from spending extra on activities. Waikiki can tend to be overly touristy, so it was quite nice to stay a block or two from the busiest streets. Lots of food and beach options in walking distance. We would definitely stay with William again.

DIAMOND ON DIAMOND HEAD

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay here for 3 nights, the unit is small but has everything you need, including A/C in the bedroom for a comfortable sleep. The shower is tight and might be an issue for tall people but was fine for us. The neighbourhood has plenty of amenities within walking distance and although it's a bit longer of a walk, you can walk to Waikiki beach area. The included parking spot was very much appreciated although next time we would probably get a smaller vehicle as the side-streets in the area are pretty narrow! Would definitely stay again as this spot provides a great location just outside the hustle and bustle of the main beach area.

Honu Suite at La Bella’s-Walk to Beach-Licensed

JeremyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Overall, the place matched the description, so 5 stars for accuracy. However, the gym was extremely dirty — I understand it's outdoors, but after kneeling down to stretch, my knees were pitch black from the mats. Some of the equipment, like the resistance bands, were brittle and broken due to being left out in the elements, which was a bummer since the gym was one of the main reasons we chose this stay (we're big into fitness). That aside, the location is good — 10-minute walk to a nearby beach, and conveniently across the street from a Safeway and Starbucks. It’s also a quick drive into town.

Your guide to Honolulu

All About Honolulu

As Hawaii’s state capital, the largest city across the islands, and the most remote major city in the world, Honolulu has long been the most famous and popular gateway into the Hawaiian experience. With a population of nearly 1 million residents, Honolulu thrums with diversity and energy, and a lush surrounding landscape and gentle aquamarine shores frame its populous high-rise skyline.

Blessed with a beautiful and swimmable beachfront — Honolulu means "calm port" in Hawaiian — visitors will have a wealth of oceanfront activities to choose from, whether it’s snorkeling in nearby Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve or strolling across Waikiki Beach in the shadow of the city’s most luxurious resorts, or stand-up paddleboarding under the warm glow of a Oahu sunset.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Honolulu

Chances are you’ll never need anything more than a light sweater or jacket to stay warm in Honolulu, where average temperatures typically hover between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm and dry summer weather extends from April through November. The island’s pleasant trade winds cause temperatures to fall only modestly between December and March.

Top things to do in Honolulu

Diamond Head State Monument

The hike up to the 300,000-year-old volcanic Diamond Head Crater would be arduous if the trek wasn’t so breathtakingly beautiful along the way. The reward for those tired legs is a stunning view of Honolulu and the glistening Pacific below that deserves numerous photos for posterity. Just be sure to arrive early to avoid the wave of crowds, bring cash for the walk-in entry fee, and wear a hat and bring water for the hike up.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Those hoping to escape from highly developed Waikiki Beach should make their way southeast along the East Honolulu coast. A sheltered and tranquil bay awaits, offering some of the best snorkeling on the island for beginners. Just note: Getting down to the reef requires a 10-minute descent by a steep trail, and there’s a small admission fee (those with disabilities can take a bus down for a smaller fee).

Honolulu Chinatown

If you want to immerse yourself in the scene where Honolulu locals dine, shop, and celebrate, head over to the city's Chinatown district. Many of the best new restaurants helmed by young Hawaiian talent are based in this section of Honolulu, packed with Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese markets and shops. The Maunakea Marketplace food court is recommended for a snack or meal, and numerous galleries and local boutiques further flavor the neighborhood.
