Places to stay in Corralitos

Places to stay in Corralitos
March 15, 29 - April 1st now open. There has been a lot of concern about the Covid-19 virus. We are now sterilizing the hard surfaces in our listings. We are quite isolated here so your exposure risks are much lower than in a city. If you have been exposed to it, please don't make a reservation. We have been listing the Mushroom Dome Cabin with airbnb since July '09 and have had the most reservations of any of their listings - in the world. We have had over 5,000 guests from over 50 countries.
As we are no longer allowed by Santa Cruz county to rent the Mushroom Dome Cabin, we are now listing the LAND of Paradise Suite, a room in our unique home. (LAND: Love And Nature Divine) Make a reservation for the Suite, you will also have unlimited access to the Mushroom Dome.We have 10 acres next to land without fences so you will get to enjoy nature: just hang out on the deck, take a hike in the woods, watch the hummingbirds on our deck, pet the goats, go to the beach or gaze at the stars - as long as the moon isn't full. ; - ) During the summer, if there isn't any nightly fog, we can see the Milky Way here. To check our availability, click on the "Request to Book" link. And yes, if it isn't available, it is already booked! If you want to stay here on a weekend, you will usually need to make your reservation request about 6-11 months in advance. We have another listing: the Hummingbird Haven. It usually has more availability. You can find it here: airbnb.com/rooms/6562632 (Please read all of this description before making a reservation request.) The cozy and clean semi-rustic retreat space has a loft under a geodesic dome (the "mushroom cap"). In the loft is a Queen-sized super popular Casper Mattress which allows for very comfortable meditation and/or sleeping and just hanging out. We provide clean sheets and pillow cases. Plenty of blankets are also provided. In the LAND of Paradise Suite, is a double bed as well as a fold out bed, a small fridge, an electric tea kettle, teas, and coffee. Let me know if you want to cook meals here and I'll tell you how. The other "bed" is a couch that we can make up into a bed. If there are going to be 2 of you, but you want separate beds, please make the reservation for 3 or let me know ahead of time - there is a $10. charge for using it as a bed. On the main floor of the Meditation Mushroom retreat (a Pentagon) is the couch a pull-out table and 2 chairs. We provide a small refrigerator, a Hot Air Popcorn Popper (and the kernels), French Coffee Press, an Electric Water Kettle, a wine opener, dishes - and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals, games, etc.: 1 inside and 1 outside on the large deck that faces the redwoods. We also have a barbecue grill on the deck with an extra gas burner on the side. We provide Organic Coffee, teas, Oatmeal, popcorn, butter, honey, sugar, nutritional yeast (for the popcorn!) spices, oil and vinegar and various snacks. Our well water is treated by an ozonator, a UV light and a soft water filter. If you have a baby and you won't be needing the second bed, make your reservation for 2 and let us know if you will need a small pad for the loft. Again, if there are 2 of you but you want to use the second bed, please make your reservation for 3. The cute bathroom has a Travertine shower, custom tiled sink and a Natures Head self-contained composting toilet. Some guests have had a problem with our bathroom, so I want to make it clear that we have a curtain for the door to the bathroom and we require that you put your used toilet paper in the trash. (it won't smell) If you follow the instructions for how to use the toilet, it won't have any odor. If you stay here for more than 1 night, you may need to change the pee bucket. We will do it for you if you want, but we do need you to pay attention to the pee level so it doesn't overflow! If the thought of using a composting toilet grosses you out, then don't make a reservation here. ; - ) We provide towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, a hair blow-dryer, etc. (a word of caution: the bathroom has a low ceiling. If you are over 6' you may have to do a little ducking here and there.) As Saturdays are very much in demand, (and we like to be free on Saturdays), we require a minimum 2 day stay on the weekends: Friday to Sunday. On 3 day holidays, we require a 3 day reservation. (This includes Presidents Day, Memorial Day, M. L. King day, and Labor Day.) But to stay here on a weekend, you will usually have to book the cabin 6 - 8 months in advance - unless you are lucky to find a cancellation! Check-in time is between 4 and 10pm. If you want to come sooner or later, this can sometimes be arranged. Check-out time is noon. As we have experienced some damage from guests, we are now requiring a $100. security deposit. Although it feels very isolated here, we are less than 10 minutes to Aptos Village where you will find stores, New Leaf (a very large natural food store), restaurants, a health food store, Safeway, etc. We are centrally located on the Monterey Bay: 10 minutes from the beach (Rio Del Mar and Seacliff State Beach) as well as the 10,000 acre Forest Nisene Marks State Park for miles of hiking or dirt biking in the Redwoods and along Aptos creek. We are 20 minutes to downtown Santa Cruz, 25 min. to the Beach Boardwalk, 45 minutes to Monterey and the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, 50 min. to Carmel and 1 1/2 hours to Big Sur going south and San Francisco to the North. Yup, we are located in one of the most beautiful areas of California. (these times are not during rush hour(s) ; - ) If you love hummingbirds, bring your camera. Our garden is the year-round home to many Anna Hummingbirds. (We usually have about 300 - 600 year-round) During the summer, we are also called home by many Rufus and Allen Hummers as well. So you have got to see our "Hummingbird Airport" where we feed them about 130 oz. of syrup on a summer day! Please, no smoking or vaping in the cabin or on the property. We used to let smokers stay here, but they stink up the cabin and it is a fire hazard outside. Some cell phones don't work here, but since we have free wifi in the cabin, if your phone works with a wifi network, you are good to call. You can sometimes get Verizon service on the swinging seat by the driveway. To learn about things to do in the area, do an internet search for Santa Cruz, CA. Dogs are welcome to stay here but with a few requirements: since we have so many animals, we require that your dogs be kept on a leash when outside (the goats get very nervous with large loose dogs). Also, we don't allow dogs in the loft or on the couch downstairs so please bring a doggie bed. (your doggie can go on the couch if you bring a cover for it) If that is difficult, let us know and we will provide a doggie pillow. We have a gate that we can set up so your dog can be off the leash on the deck. If you are bringing a small child, we can put a folding futon (2/3rds of the futon or a foam pad next to the bed ) Just let us know ahead of time. Keep in mind, though, that a child should not be left in the loft by themselves as the bed is fairly high up against the rail. As we are about 3 miles to the nearest bus stop, it is pretty difficult to stay here without a car. You are invited, if you feel you would be harmonious here. Pet the goats, check out our chickens, cats, miniature dog and enjoy the very fresh air. If you come here when there is no moonlight and the sky is clear, you will see lots of stars. Tired of the heat in the summer? Since we are on the edge of the "fog belt", it can be both sunny and cool here. If you want a noisy place, you won't like it here: most of the sound here comes from the birds or crickets chirping, the tree frogs croaking and the breeze blowing through the trees. People do live on the land here though, so don't expect it to be totally devoid of human sounds and the occasional chain saw. : ) (We feed the goats oak branches)
Even though we live only a 8 minute drive to Aptos village and the beaches, it feels very remote and private here. It is usually very quiet at night - sometimes we can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach. There is lots of land to hike on and explore here as well. We have 8 people living here in a rather loose community.
  • Magical place, closer to Capitola and to great beaches! The mushroom dome is unique, very comfortable and Kitty is a sweetheart. Her dog Elliot is also a formidable companion :) The place invites you to disconnect, enjoy nature, cook, rest. It was the perfect setting to celebrate my partner’s birthday!

    Alisson2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kitty gave clear directions on how to get to the cabin and even personally met us at the driveway so we could get to know our hostess which was so nice. We were a little put off by the idea of a compostable toilet but after experiencing one and how clean and easy it seemed to maintain we're looking into replacing our standard toilet for a compostable one as well! Her cat milo was so friendly, although I'm allergic I couldn't help but show some love...and take some claritin! The landscaping was breathtaking throughout. Can't wait to come back with a book or two to read and enjoy in the garden. Kitty has a rulebook put together which some may find daunting...but if you read through the rules are pretty common sense. We loved her sense of humor and are looking forward to booking again soon.

  • Quiet, relaxing and quirky...enjoyed my stay!

    Heidi2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever encountered. Such a serene and beautiful environment. Kitty and Michael are incredible hosts and made us feel extremely welcome.

    Kitzia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very great hosts and Kitty will take the extra time to welcome you and provide a little history about the place. The environment is serene and relaxing especially sitting on the deck drinking coffee and or having breakfast.

    Nada2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kitty and Michael are gracious, kind-hearted super hosts. You will fall in love with the Mushroom Dome; my two friends and I felt at-home very quickly. The location is beautiful, the hosts are absolutely lovely, and the place itself is breathtaking. The bed upstairs is super comfortable and the shower is pleasant as well, with water that warms up right away. The Mushroom Dome is incredibly charming, and hearing about it’s history from Kitty adds another element of awe to your experience. This was my friends’ and I first AriBnB experience, and we feel so lucky to have chosen such a perfect place. None of us stumbled across any issues with our stay, and our entire trip was smooth and enjoyable. If you find dates that work for you, I urge you to book, I can’t imagine anyone regretting this stay!

    Julia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Even if you expect it to be perfect, Kitty & Michael will give your time a chance to expand your concept of perfection

Built on giant Douglas Fir trees, our treehouse is located on Lago Lomita Vineyards with a view of the entire Monterey Bay. The ladder/staircase leads to a 400 sq. ft. platform with a queen bed, electricity/WiFi in a tent! There is a full bath on the bottom floor of the main house, immediately inside the French Doors. See pics! Half hour to San Jose, 15 miles to the Capitola beach, and an hour from SFO or Monterey. Also, check out our 5 star yurt listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/19876384
Both our treehouse and yurt listings are unique experiences. They both are adjacent to the Tierra Madre Vineyard Block and have awesome views of the entire Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean. We are located on 44 acres high atop the Santa Cruz Mountains but close to all the major beaches and the Silicon Valley.
  • Lovely location, gorgeous views, comfortable accommodations and a super unique experience. Book this if you want to have a really memorable time!

  • Robin was awesome. Welcoming, hospitable, and just a great person. The view and treehouse were outstanding. The stay includes a very clean shower with towels, body wash, shampoo/conditioner. She made awesome muffins that were awesome to have in the morning as well as having A LOT of drinking water. We stopped at the Summit store just down the hill (short drive) and brought back food to eat with the view. The treehouse had full electricity and a heater. 10/10 highly recommend, great memory.

  • The treehouse was absolutely magical. On the night we arrived, it rained a little bit but we really enjoyed listening to the rain drops on the tent. It was amazing waking up to the view of the coast. Robin and Mark were awesome hosts! They even gave us a tour of their vineyard.

    Sophia2019-11-30T00:00:00Z

    Juliana2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 def would stay here again. Dream spot, much reccomended.

    Roland2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway, or a week long getaway. You overlook the water and the path to the beach is a quick 3 minute walk down. The view is unbelievable. You hang out on the cliff, engulfed by the glorious beauty of the forever pounding ocean. Leave your white noise machines at home. The melodic drum of the waves crashing is perfect for bed time as well as meditating on the glorious, sunsoaked deck. Seashells abound in the early morning. The tides bring in some especially fantastic jewels across the coastline.

    Aaron2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Sunset Cottage is the perfect place to unwind and relax on the beach. Gorgeous view and a cozy, quaint space to decompress away from it all! Thanks again Nonie!

    Matthew2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • LOVE this place! The location and view are unbeatable. The studio is steps from the ocean, cozy, nice TV, and lots of blankets to keep warm. We hope to be back soon!

    Diana2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • WOW. If you're thinking the place is a little out of your price range, ask yourself what does a beautiful unique location on the beach mean to you. Then ask yourself, again, about all the times you might have tried to save a little. This is NOT one of those times!! The breathtaking views, comfy amenities and delicious, refreshing sounds and feel of rolling ocean waves make it all worthwhile. Indulge. Enjoy. You're worth it. You never know what you're missing, but this place is not to be missed. Monie's hospitality tops it all off with a healthy dose of comfort and accommodation.

    Candace2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little beach cabin! The cabin is set closer to the beach than most. Definitely a plus! It's tucked into the hillside and because of its position among some bonsai-like shrubbery, it turned out to be very private. The view and sunsets are spectacular! The cozy beach motif of the inside is well balanced with a large panoramic window sitting space and the cabin is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, condiments, coffee, and teas - all the basics. The nights are silent, nothing but the sounds of the waves to fall asleep to. Truly paradise.

    Blaine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

Stephanie was a great hots we had a small problem with hot water, but she handled is so fast and responded to all my messages very quickly. I cannot recommend this more. Will DEFIANTLY be back anytime i’m in Santa Cruz.

  • This place is the perfect getaway for couples or solo travelers. The outdoor patio, fireplace and bathroom were the highlights of our stay. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a glamping experience.

    Morgan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s place was one of a kind. It was a great way to get into glamping since the place was very unique. The bed was extremely comfortable and the outdoor bathroom set up alone was already enough for us to book the place asap. I would definitely do it again however would take a car with higher clearance to get up a small steep hill

    Gian2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a getaway

    Isabel2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The bnb is as listed, Stephanie was great about making sure I could find the place. The bath house is just lovely and honestly the reason I booked the bnb. As long as you’re prepared to have basic amenities, it’s an absolutely lovely location in the redwoods where you can escape everyday life.

    Marisa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The outdoor bathhouse is absolutely magical!! I would stay here again just for the bath house. Stephanie also offered great recommendations on local food and was responsive and quick!

A magical Redwood Treehouse located it the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. There is a live tree growing right through the main living area and another in the bathroom! It is simply incredible. It was built by my friend, Randy, a stained glass artist. Everyone who sees it are delighted by it. Please read entire description before making a reservation request. It has a delicious high-bed, a kitchen with a small stove and refrigerator, and typical cooking tools. There is a full bathroom with shower and toilet of course. There is now a hot-tub at about 103 degrees ready for your soak before bed or a morning treat. The Treehouse is a short walk of a few hundred yards (about four minutes) through the beautiful woods from the parking area. There is a gas stove for heating. There is a TV and DVD player with many movies to choose from. For travelers this is the best of both worlds. A wonderful treehouse nestled in the redwood forest, a short distance to HWY 1(Pacific Coast HWY) the main vein to Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, Capitola and Santa Cruz and the HWY 101 Corridor. People come from all over the world to experience the Pacific Coast specifically the Monterey Bay area. It is an area rich in history. Here you will find world class art, music, cuisine, golf, surfing, sightseeing, hiking, biking, sunbathing, whale watching, birding, fishing, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and so much more. You can spend the day engaged in a variety of activities, physical and/or cultural. However you spend your day you can return home to a mountain treehouse and quiet. The weather here is excellent. It is located in a micro climate called a ‘banana belt’. Though the beach is only 25 minutes away we are often in the sun when our neighbors in the valley and on the coast are in the fog. Winters are mild we average 25” of rainfall a year. Summers can be warm but delightful. The fog rolling in at night is nature’s air conditioner and everything cools down. The weather is nearly perfect. Fog burns off early enough to make the beaches comfortable all day. The Santa Cruz Mountains are home to Sequoia Sempervirens commonly known as a Redwood Tree. They are native only to a specific part of Pacific Coast region. Come and visit our amazing part of the world and experience something special about the California Coast. All linens are provided. The kitchen has the basic items for cooking, i.e., spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, and tea. Two-night minimum on weekends. THREE-DAY MINIMUM on HOLIDAY WEEKENDS. A 60.00 cleaning fee will be charged per each stay. We are a green establishment. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used. We ask our guests to consider using fewer towels during their stay and not requesting a sheet change unless your stay is longer than a week. I have a moderate cancellation policy. You must cancel a full seven days before your reservation. Please make sure that you read it thoroughly. You will be charged 50% of your stay if you cancel after the grace period.
  • Unique. Beautiful and special, like something out of a story. Not like any vacation house we've ever stayed in.

    Greta2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stay. Here. Make it a point to spend 2 or 3 days in this remarkable space. The treehouse is amazing, the hospitality is warm, and the opportunity to literally "get away from it all" is priceless. I knew it would be cool. I mean, c'mon, it's a TREEHOUSE. What I didn't know was how a weekend away from the kids could reignite my joyfulness.

    Sara2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous, magical night in the redwoods. Bring a book and someone you love.

    Jeff2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely treehouse with plenty of space and amenities to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful short hike to reach the treehouse. Only downside was that it was nosier than we expected with neighboring homes running saws, leaf blowers and even target practice... we could see a road and other homes so while it was private it was not isolated.

    Liqa2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! A restorative weekend with girlfriends. Kitchen has great supplies for cooking and Mary Jane is very hospitable.

This is a wonderful private space located just 5 minutes from Scott's Valley Dr. and 15 min from Downtown Santa Cruz/ the beach. We are located in the Santa Cruz mountains. This is a remodeled vintage Air-stream with an additional living space built onto it. The property features a vintage farm vibe with modern upgrades, it has a beautifully landscaped fenced in yard with a large deck. The deck offers a wonderful place to BBQ or just enjoy the tranquility of being in the coastal redwoods.
This space consists of a fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, knives, dinnerware, basic spices, coffee maker, tea, olive oil, toaster, microwave, gas stove ,fridge, etc.), a full bathroom with a shower/ bath, it featurse two closets to hang your clothes during your stay equipped with hangers. There is a quaint dinning space for two in the front part of the Air-stream living space, which over looks the beautiful yard and onto the 100ft garden on the property. Leaving the Air-stream space and entering into the living/ bedroom, you will find a memory foam topped full mattress bed, with a 32in flat screen TV and blue ray player and a fully stocked DVD collection for your enjoyment. Across from the main bed is a single sleeper pull out sofa (1 person) (there is a foam topper for this pull out in the closet - please remember to request a sheet if you plan on using this). The space features a wood burning fire place (we ask that you do not use this unless you know how to start and maintain a fire - for safety reasons. wood is not provided) a brand new electric heater and a brand new AC unit. The surrounding yard is fenced in, in a white picket fence and is landscaped, with a large deck to relax on or BBQ and over look the surrounding space and enjoy the additional outside dinning area. We have 17 chickens and 4 ducks on the property that produce the most delicious eggs which you are welcome too for an addition charge - please let us know if you're interested in purchasing any. We also have 2 Nigerian Dwarf Goats on the property who would also love to meet you - just let us know.
This is a wonderful neighborhood. If you would like to take a nice walk you can take a left down bean creek and enjoy the beautiful redwood scenery, at the bottom of the large hill just past the camp (left) on the right across the bridge there is a beautiful little redwood chapel.
  • The cottage and airstream trailer are very private and quiet, yet easy to get to from Scotts Valley or HWY 17. There are goats, chickens (plus yummy eggs) ducks around and a visiting cat, Zinnia (if you want). The scenery is very beautiful, set in the redwoods and the cottage is super charming. The bed was a bit too soft my my personal taste, but having a full kitchen to use was so convenient. The bathroom even has a bathtub for your relaxation and the water pressure in the shower was great. You basically have the whole place to yourself, plus a huge deck you can hang out on to enjoy the view. I will definitely book this cottage again, once I return.

    Christiane2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at this Airbnb and we absolutely love it. The location is perfect if you want to do a day trip to Santa Cruz (like we did) and it’s also ideal if you want to have the feeling of being in nature/unplugged, while still offering WiFi and TV. We love that it has a kitchen, which cuts down on the cost of eating out for every meal and the bed is super comfortable and makes you instantly melt into relaxation. Heather and Brian are very communicative and respond promptly. They also have a gorgeous and incredibly sweet, older white cat who likes to spend time around the Airbnb and will never fail to put a smile on your face and make you feel at home. Also the fact that Heather and Brian allow occupants to bring a dog (with prior approval of course) is such a sweet and kind gesture. The price is more than reasonable for all the amenities offered and we will definitely continue returning whenever we want to visit Santa Cruz/the neighboring area.

    Mariah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect; You're in the middle of the redwoods and yet less than a 20 minute drive from downtown Santa Cruz. Heather and Brian were lovely hosts, giving us tips about hiking spots near the area and encouraging us to help socialize their baby goats! The cottage was clean and well-kept and had a full kitchen and bathroom, but our favourite part was the huge deck out front, where their kitty would come visit us regularly. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone wanting a remote getaway with easy access to downtown Santa Cruz.

    Jen2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED this spot. We booked the morning of for a spur of the moment trip, and were definitely not disappointed. The converted airstream was very clean, the bed was ridiculously comfortable (I’m 9 months pregnant and couldn’t believe how well I slept!) and the DVD selection was on point. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

    Bailey2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, little secluded place! Easy to find and cute decorations. We had no problems with room temperature with the new space heater.

Featured by Sunset Magazine as a “chic escape.” Inside, mid-century furniture and architectural details are made of natural materials like wood and stone setting a calming, sanctuary tone throughout. Curl up with a good read by the light streaming through floor to ceiling windows and under soaring wooden beams or tuck in for the evening by closing the sliding doors inspired by Japanese shoji screens. We strive to provide a safe environment for our guests to enjoy. We thoroughly clean and sanitize after each guest. Pets will be considered on a case by case basis. There is a $100 pet fee.
The house is in a secluded, wooded neighborhood with quiet neighbors. Enjoy 3 different decks on the top floor, each with a different ocean or forest view. Inside the home, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable space with luxurious touches throughout. The treehouse comes with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. It has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, and a full kitchen with everything you need to make dinner for 6. The house cannot sleep more than 6 people including children of any age. A total of 8 people can be in the house. After 8 pm additional guests need to vacate the premises. This is to ensure the continued use of our permit as well as to respect our neighbors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We will send you the rental agreement shortly after booking.
The house is located in a quiet secluded neighborhood next to Nicene Marks Redwood Forest State Park, just outside of the city of Santa Cruz. It's perched on top of a small valley, overlooking the ocean. The neighborhood is very quite a private - please do not disturb our neighbors. Absolutely no parties or outside amplified music.
  • Beautiful home, very comfortable stay

  • Janiece was a great host. We had everything we needed. The house was amazing. I loved that the house was close to parks. We had a great time.

  • The tree house is chic! The scenery is pretty good too! It's a bit cold in winter, and the heating equipment in the house is not good enough.

    Zhencong2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My favorite Airbnb by far.

    Karen2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is such a magical place and words cannot fully describe its beauty. During the night of our stay, the forest was filled with fog. Under the moonlight it truly feels out of the world. Waking up to the sunrise, we even saw some deer wandering through the forest outside. Inside of the house is super clean, well organized and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit on the small side. But for us it worked out perfectly fine.

  • Perfect family getaway. Beautiful place, very well equipped, a unique experience!

    Arjun2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was awesome! The place had beautiful views of the ocean which offered a scenic place to sip on coffee in the morning. The house is completely unique and fun to explore. The beds were so comfortable too!!

This lovely, restful glamp-site is handcrafted for rest and rejuvenation. Our 300sq foot Sibley tent, pitched on top of a brand new redwood platform, is a perfect getaway for couples or sacred solo respite. Enjoy the scenery, electricity, and a luxe outfitted queen-sized bed while getting your sleep-outside fix. -- Please note that we do have nearby neighbors -- This is not a remote forest glamping setup with absolute silence. Read below for more details. Thanks!
NOTE 1: THIS IS A TENT MADE OF CANVAS AND THEREFORE HAS NO INSULATED WALLS. THERE IS AN ARTIST COMMUNITY THAT LIVE IN YURTS JUST OVER THE BACKYARD FENCE. MUSIC AND CONVERSATION CAN BE HEARD AT TIMES. WE ASK THAT OUR GUESTS BE EXTREMELY RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBORS AND NOISE. NOTE 2: We are no longer allowing open fires for the season due to the high risk of fires. We apologize for the inconvenience. NOTE 3: No DRONES. Wi-Fi is available, but we're big fans of disconnecting if you're game to not ask for the password ;). You'll have access to the washroom at the main house and food storage. When you're not chilling in this sanctuary space or roaming our half-acre of fruit trees, wild roses, redwoods and oaks at will, it's 15 minutes to swimming in the ocean, 15 minutes to hiking in the redwoods. We have a list of recommendations and adventures in the works - more to come soon! LAND REQUESTS:We're in a sub-rural zone. You'll hear the lonely yips of coyotes at night, but we're also very respectful of our close-by neighbors. We will only expect the same from our guests. Quiet time is 10:00pm to 7:00am.
We have nearby neighbors who can be heard from time to time talking or calling for their cats. This is a thin walled canvas tent and therefore has no sound insulation. Noise travels easily and high volume talking and noise will be heard by neighbors. While we have no control over our neighbors noise, we ask that our guests be extremely mindful of volume, especially after 10pm. While the property is located in a more rural neighborhood, it is not the same as being camping in a remote forest. Corralitos is a valley town in the south county of Santa Cruz. Just inland from the great Pacific, we tend to be 10 degrees warmer in the summer and rarely get the fog and wind of nearby La Selva. Excellent surfing, hiking and biking is all at your fingertips, just ask us for additional recommendations. Our quiet side street off Amesti is a great mix of cultures, ages and backgrounds. We're well aware it won't be long before this gem of a smalltown starts to change, so we're enjoying it while we can!
  • Loved it! The tent was chilly, but there were plenty of blankets - it was wonderfully cozy. The thoughtful touches were amazing - utensils, coffee, tea, water...even games to play! The space was exactly what we needed and wanted! Definitely recommend.

    Rachel2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! This place exceeded any expectations I had, with everything you could possibly need for the best “glamping” experience- Jacob thought of everything!

    Shadia2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful tent tucked into a lush backyard. Place was well lit and decorated. There was games available, blankets, and a lot more kitchenware available than you would expect in a tent. WiFi was a little spotty but it only encouraged us to get lost in the experience.

    Elissa2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great night of glamping. We had a really chilled night in this tent - with the most comfy bed we've slept in on holiday!

    Andy2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing air bnb, so so dreamy! Wish we could have stayed longer than a night for sure! It’s also more spacious than the pictures show.

    Jocelyn2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Blown away... this was such a killer experience! My husband and I are traveling the coast of Cali and chose Jacobs place as a stop along the way. This little getaway far exceeded our expectations! It’s truly a Shangrala. Every detail pulls together the vibe of their space, the bed was super cozy with plenty of blankets, and the bathroom is just a short walk around the corner. Really pleased we stayed here. If we weren’t traveling the coast we would’ve definitely wanted to stay more than one night. Thank guys!

Panoramic ocean views, walk to downtown Capitola, or New Brighton State Beach. Close to shopping, entertainment, transit, and freeways.
Well appointed two bedroom condo end unit on top floor of three story building. One assigned carport parking space, guest parking available on site and plenty of street parking, Elevator, pool, sauna, laundry, guest room available to rent from HOA for guests. Walk to shopping, dining, grocery. Close to area attractions and colleges
New Brighton State Beach is an easy walk from the condo, you can walk the beach to historic cement ship. Downtown Capitola is less than a mile walk with great restaurants; Sotola and Shadow Brook are two of our favorites. Mr. Toot's coffee is the original coffee house of Capitola. You can grab a nice breakfast at the Avenue Cafe or Gayle's Bakery.
  • The unit is super nice and confortable, very close to capitola Wharf and Main streets. I was working at UCSC during my stay and capitola is just between 15-30 minutes drive to university and Santa Cruz. You can also take the metro bus, it takes around an hour. Stephanie left us instructions and recomendations and she is always available to answer questions. The beds are very confortable, and the kitchen very well equiped. The unit is very close (5 min walk) to New Brightons state park and beach. 100% recommended!!

Great amenities, wonderful owners, nice clean place~~ Good job 👏🏻 we loved our stay~~and would love to come back!

  • I spent the month of March in this beautiful property. The view is unbeatable and the short walk along the deserted tracks into Capitola Village was so scenic and saved trying to find parking. It was also an easy walk right across the street down to New Brighton State Beach, which is beautiful. It was a wonderful month.

  • If you are looking for a perfect place to stay for a quick getaway for the weekend, this is THE PLACE! Natalie, Kirt and Kenzie's cottage is simply spectacular. We came as a weekend celebration for my best friend and we had the best time. From the attention to detail to the thoughtful treats they gave us...it was simply perfect. The space is pristine. All the essentials (and more) are there. The cottage is in a private quiet area, with easy access. And the biggest hidden Gem is their daughter's Yoga class in the greenhouse! If you are staying on a Sunday, Kenzie's 10am class is a MUST. I'm already planning on coming again with my family (it perfectly fits 4). Thank you again for the warm hospitality.

A peaceful bedroom near the sea surrounded by a beautiful garden. Go to sleep listening to the waves
Only 10 minute walk to the beach. Only a 10 minute drive to the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park where you can find some of the biggest redwoods in the world. Only 5 minute drive to shopping center and Restaurants. Golf course minuets away.
Rio Del Mar is a family residential area on the "beach side" of Aptos. Houses are close together (everyone wants to live beach side!) , but people are friendly and welcoming.
  • Wonderful to wake up to peace and quiet. Lovely view of the garden and trees from the balcony. We ended up spending less time out and about and more time sitting on the balcony, drinking tea, and reading books. I got halfway through A Man Called Jove. I met Rebecca for one of her massage therapy sessions and she said to take the book home with me. My husband enjoyed reading David Dillard-Wright's A Mindful Evening. The space was perfect for the two of us, everything is new and clean and warm and cozy. The kitchen has coffee and tea. The bathroom medicine cabinet has everything you might have forgotten. We felt very well taken care of. We hope to come back soon.

    Genevieve2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca’s Place was a perfect little resting spot as we traveled along Highway 1!

    Sarah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca's place is incredible. It is insanely clean and has nice personal touches throughout. The bed is comfortable and the kitchenette is perfect for a few day stay. You can hear the waves when sitting on the deck or if you leave the sliding door open. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind and reconnect with your significant other n a serene setting.

    Rebecca2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at Rebecca’s place and highly recommend. The accommodation was in a great location near the beach and restaurants, all very walkable too. We love the outdoor porch, nice view to wake up to and enjoy a cup of coffee or wind down in the evening.

  • Gold standard for Airbnb. 5 stars well deserved! Cozy, crystal clean with a beautiful view and everything you could need. Forgot a toothbrush? There’s a brand new one in the medicine cabinet! Need a first aid kit? It’s under the sink! Get in late after everything is closed? The snacks will get you through! Have any questions? Just ask! Rebecca will get back to you in no time!

Dragonfly Cottage is magic. A wonderful stone cottage in Corralitos in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. For travelers this is the best of both worlds. A cozy cottage nestled in the redwood forest, a short distance to HWY 1. HWY 1 is the Pacific Coast HWY, the main vein to Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, Capitola and Santa Cruz and the HWY 101 Corridor. Please read all the way through the description before making a reservation request. Or if you are looking for some peace and quiet. A restorative break from your life. This is an excellent choice. However you spend your day you can return home to a mountain cottage and quiet. Spend your evening relaxing in the hot tub secluded in the Redwoods. Looking south from inside the cottage is the largest window which affords the incredible view of the Pajaro Valley. The queen size bed is placed so you can enjoy gazing out upon the fertile valley while lying in bed. Some mornings the fog lays down so perfectly one can feel wonderfully alone looking out at the sea of soft white. Sunsets are often remarkably beautiful. Sit on the front deck in an Adirondack chair with a cup of tea or glass of wine and enjoy creation. In the morning and evenings you can sit and watch and listen to the Mourning Doves, Band Tailed Pigeons, Oregon Juncos, Stellars and Scrub Jays, Hummingbirds, Hawks and Ravens. The cottage is bungalow style. It is like a large open studio. There is no separate bedroom. Just inside the big window there is a delicious couch and a loveseat that provide comfortable viewing from inside the cottage. The couch is large enough for a fine nap. It is also a great place to snug down with a book or magazine or some knitting. The gas heater stove is particularly cozy on a cool day. There is a piano in the cottage as well. Feel free to play. The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen including a reproduction antique stove and small refrigerator. It has a newly installed bamboo floor. One can enjoy their breakfast with a breath taking view. Coffee and tea in the kitchen are for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Bedding and fresh linens are provided. The cottage is heated with a natural gas stove. There is an oil heater for extra chilly nights. There is plenty of open space inside to accommodate several people practicing yoga at the same time. And it is quiet enough for meditation. We find many of our guests are looking for peace and quiet in their busy lives. It can be found here. Occassionaly the guests spend many days resting, reading, etc. inside the cottage or on the beautiful deck that looks out to Pajaro Valley. The weather here is excellent. It is located in a micro climate called a banana belt. Though the beach is only 25 minutes away we are often in the sun when our neighbors in the valley and on the coast are in the fog. Winters are mild we average 25" of rainfall a year. Summers can be warm but delightful. The fog rolling in at night is nature's air conditioner and everything cools down. - There are books, magazines, games and puzzles for your entertainment. - Television, DVD player and DVDs in the cottage. - Massage in the cottage can be arranged. Stunning Centrally located in the Redwoods, 5 min drive to Ocean, walk to Niceen Marks State park, or to Downtown Aptos and jog to the ocean. This apartment set for 3 adults-1 Queen bed and 1 full pull out sofa bed. Private entrance, Kitchen, and bath. Many windows revealing tree tops giving it a treehouse feel. The hot tub is an experience with the vast forest views. this apartment is located on the bottom floor of the main house. Private kitchen includes oven, fridge, microwave, and toaster
This Serene apartment is loaded with all the comforts of home, with the added luxury of a peaceful outdoor shower and hot tub where an outstanding canopy of trees nestle you in beauty. The space is high in the trees where owls and a multitude of birds call home. It feels like a far removed sanctuary. However, it is just minutes to the hustle and bounty that Aptos and Santa Cruz has to offer. (literally walk to wine tasting and a wonderful variety of restaurants) Deer visit the property throughout the day. It does require a degree of athleticism to enjoy this apartment as it is up 3 flights of concrete stairs
Niceen Marks State Park is walking distance. Yet minutes from the Ocean.
  • Tawnya's place was lovely. The check-in was smooth, and there were lots of helpful signs and labels around the place to make everything easy to figure out. The space was clean and comfortable, and it was a treat to sit in the hot tub on a cool night. It has a secluded feel, yet you're close to town and lots of things to do. Recommended!

  • My wife and I spent a very nice weekend here while we were in town for a friend's wedding. The location is great--pretty easy to get to from highway 1, but just far enough away from everything to feel very tranquil. We loved being able to get to several beaches and breweries with less than 10 minutes of driving. The space itself is great and cozy. We especially liked the comfy bed, listening to the owls at night, and the treats in the kitchen--it's so nice not to have to go out when you need a quick snack or coffee.

    Dane2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I'm SO glad I found this little slice of heaven for my birthday weekend with two girlfriends. It's beyond peaceful and rejuvenating, tucked right in the trees. The space is perfect and sprinkled with the most thoughtful touches. It felt like a spiritual retreat. Tawnya was an amazing host -- she went above and beyond to help with a birthday surprise and also provided recommendations on where to eat (lots of vegan options in the area!). We even had everything we needed to cook dinner one night in the super cute kitchen. Great location and easy to get to both Santa Cruz and Capitola.

  • This house is enchanted, perched in the beautiful Redwoods. It felt like a true getaway. The jacuzzi was absolutely perfect for star gazing at night. And it’s right around the corner from the best BBQ I’ve ever had and an amazing forest for exploring. The host was very kind and considerate! I accidentally left my bathing suit in the room, and she promptly offered to send it straight to my house! I definitely recommend this stay and hope to be back some day!

    Jessica2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

Perfect Central Coast location to explore all of Monterey Bay's treasures, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, beautiful old growth redwoods, Santa Cruz mountain wineries, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, trail rides thru redwoods, and just a five minute walk to our own Seacliff Beach. Relax in the sunporch with your continental breakfast. Cyclists touring thru can store bikes safely and chill out.
Attached to the main house, this private entrance to your own personal retreat includes a queen size bed, private bath, plenty of closet space, and access to the attached sun porch. The adjoining sun porch is a great place to enjoy your morning beverage or an afternoon glass of wine. We'll provide morning snacks to kick off your day, plus a coffeemaker, mini-frig and microwave are in the sun porch for guests. Netflix, Pandora, Amazon Prime and more are available through Roku streaming as well as iPod-ready connections. This is a quiet family neighborhood close to local restaurants (see guidebook), with a short walk to Seacliff State Beach on Monterey Bay, where you can take morning or evening beach walks and watch the dolphins, seals and otters play. When in season, you may see whales visit close to the Concrete Ship. For cyclists, we are located along a popular route for cycle touring down the coast, and guests can store bicycles securely in our home.
Just south of Capitola and Santa Cruz, this is a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Seacliff State Beach and wharf leading to the Concrete Ship. Popular restaurants, Manuel's (Mexican), Ambrosia (Indian), Route 1 (Pizza), Hole In The Wall (American breakfast and lunch) and Marianne's Ice Cream (yum!), as well as a convenience store are all down the street in a few minutes walk. Another couple minutes walk or short drive leads to a shopping center with Safeway supermarket (big), coffee shops, deli, bakery and other shops and eateries. For music in the area, the main venue's are Kuumbwa, Moe's Alley, The Rio, The Catalyst, Flynn's (formally Don Quixotes) and Golden State Theater, and in the summer the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has free concerts, then there's also the local Santa Crux Derby Girls. Some highlights for incoming local events can be found in the local Good Times newspaper and the venue's above. ----------------
  • Very cute private add on to their house, perfect for 2! Mark and Jan were very creative with their makeshift “kitchenette” we were impressed! They left great breakfast options that we weren’t expecting; pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, and cereal with Keurig coffee (we loved the pastries!). In the room there is a binder full of information about the area. Apparently there is an abandoned concrete ship near their house, that was really cool the see! Also they are walking distance from Marianne’s Ice Cream shop that was ridiculously good. Mark and Jan responded quickly to all my questions and were super helpful to make my husband’s birthday a fun one. We enjoyed our stay!

  • I don’t want to give an honest review, because I would hate for this place to not be open on a weekend I want to stay there, but it was perfect. Mark and Jan have a wonderful place near the beach. The room is great, but the sunroom really makes this place pop. If you don’t spend time in the sunroom, you are really doing yourself a disservice. If you are staying in the area and want wonderful hosts and an amazing place to stay, you really can’t go wrong staying here. If you somehow have a bad time staying here, it has to be something you did wrong, because Mark and Jan did everything right with this space.

    Jacob2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in mark and Jan’s place could not have been better. Both the value and the cookies were excellent!!! Thank you both!

  • tranquil. peaceful. easy self check in with a code will bring you to a beautiful private space. sunny yard, comfortable and bright sun room, extremely clean and comfortable living area inside. space heaters warm the place up quickly when the sun isn't shining. everything about the place is plush and cozy. in a quiet and safe neighborhood, short walk to the ocean, birds chirping in the morning. mini fridge and dishes, everything you need to prepare a snack or enjoy take out. there's coffee and tea, creamer and munchies (even homemade treats!). two of us stayed here for a couple nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. thank you Mark and Jan for offering this lovely space.

    Magnolia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place, exceptional hosts and a beautiful environment. Everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to revisit.

  • This was located in an ideal location. Close to the beach and many amenities. The place itself was thoughtfully decorated and super cozy and it was so much more than we expected!

  • I could not have enjoyed this stay more! Mark and Jan’s place was sparkling clean and possessed such charming touches. Their hospitality and treats were more than I can ask for too! Definitely going to give this place another go if I’m looking to stay in the area again :)

  • Gorgeous space! This is house is incredible. The curves, the architecture. So fascinating to look at. I loved the out-coves and periscope-like views. The bathroom with the huge tub, was well used. So relaxing to soak and stare out at the beautiful gardens. The beach is just a short walk away. I couldn't get enough of this place. One of the most romantic weekends of our lives.

    Steve2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cool space in a quiet beach community -- a perfect weekend away from the city!

    Josh2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquil, unique and even better than the photos! We loved our stay and can't wait to return. Like others have mentioned the house was cold upon our arrival but we turned on the thermostat, headed down to the private beach and came back to a comfortable temperature. The fireplace and space heater were welcome additional heat sources. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, unplugged getaway.

    Monica2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a unique photo worthy property, this is it! Super modern, amazing to look at and the bathtub of your dreams! Definitely only room for 2 people so I’d say it’s great for a couples trip! But if you’re going in winter pack warm. The unique building is mostly concrete and cold! But warm up in the bathtub when you can! The bed is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE!! Get ready to sink into relaxation! Definitely would recommend!

    Tricia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Charming unique adobe sculpted house near a beach! Love the fireplace, the loft with bed, great full kitchen, bathtub. Took 6 hours after arrival to warm the place up, but fine rest of weekend with doors closed, and space heater near bed. Beautiful beach, just a bit farther walk/short drive than seemed on google maps when booking (bluffs, need to go down about 5-minute wall through gate access). Hope to come again!

    Bulbul2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely lovely. The space is amazing and incredibly unique. Our host was super helpful and communicative. The only challenge was that it was very chilly and took a long time to get warm on the cold and rainy nights we stayed. Highly recommend this very unique’s stay.

We even seen a sea lion roll up onto the beach by us. It's such a magical location. The room is cozy and comfortable. It's definitely a must stay. We love love loved it and we will definitely be back.

So what are we doing to help mitigate the risks of COVID-19? For starters our professional cleaners know what they’re doing and pay attention to the important details of human cross-contamination. They pay close attention to all touch points in the yurt (door knobs, cabinet pulls, faucets, remote controls etc) disinfecting them as their last step in the cleaning procedure. Additionally, we’re providing the same disinfecting supplies for guests, so they can have that extra security to spray down anything they want. As an extra safety precaution, we are spacing each booking by 2 days to allow for deep cleaning. With this extra time that folks have with their families, it’s a great opportunity to take some time in nature, but not without properly mitigating risk first. We’re in constant communication with our guests to make sure they are comfortable and have everything they need during these tense times. We are not charging any cancellation fees, and being as flexible as possible since we know everyone is doing their best. Our property is over 1 acre with 2 homes on the upper half and a recently built private yurt with bathhouse on the lower half. The property has irrigated vegetable beds, flower beds and fruit trees. We water our plants with 100% reclaimed rain water. The 24' Pacific Yurt is privately nestled in the Redwoods with 8 windows that leaves you feeling like you’re outside. The Yurt has electricity, a gas heating stove that is easy to operate with a remote control, wifi, a large dining room table with 4 wooden chairs, a comfortable queen size bed, a small kitchenette with granite countertop, and a small living room with a rocking chair and couch. It has lots of natural sunlight, varying types of indoor plants, brand new hard wood floors, and beautiful french doors. The Yurt is powered by renewable energy source, an array of solar panels. The kitchen has a refrigerator, 2 burner electric stove, toaster, electric kettle, french press, plates and bowls, silverware, cutting knives, cutting board, pots and pans. We prohibit guests from bringing and cooking meat on our property as we are all vegan and prefer a harmonious environment. Thank you! **Please stop in town for groceries before arriving. The nearest grocery store is 25-30 minutes away. The closest towns are Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Watsonville.** The bathhouse is clean and eco friendly. Enjoy a hot shower underneath the redwood canopy while comfortably standing on a bed of river rocks. The eco-bathroom has a toilet and a sink with hot and cold water. Organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels and linens are included. Enjoy a 1 minute walk down to the yurt from the dedicated parking spot inside our private gate. My lovely in-laws also live on the property. One of us will be here to welcome guests and show them down to the Yurt. Thank you!
Remote and rural mountaintop setting. Wild turkeys, deer, and peacocks often roam free along Summit Rd. Nearest town 25-30 minutes away. • The Yurt is all that we hoped for and more. It's a beautifully, secluded place and extremely relaxing. My wife and I haven't had a chance to to sit by a fire, read, and play a few games in years. This was the perfect place to do that. James was there to great us and walked us down to the Yurt. Super friendly guy and their property is awesome. The gas stove keeps the Yurt warm at night and the little touches make the stay. We took time to head down to the Cafe (set up reservations beforehand) and sat out on the deck overlooking the Monterey Bay. The directions were easy and it's not too far from the Bay Area. Would definitely recommend staying there.

  • James and Mary's yurt was a peaceful and healing get-away, nestled not far from our home in the Bay Area. Upon arrival, they greeted us warmly and walked us down to the Yurt. We enjoyed the relaxing and calming essence of the property and are really looking forward to returning soon! Thanks James and Mary!!

  • It was my first time staying in a yurt and it was extremely cozy here! It's the perfect getaway spot for a couple, but not hard to get to either. It was also spotless and cleaner than I even expected. The fireplace kept us warm at night and the shower+bathroom is also right next door, making it very convenient.

  • Had a great stay! Very relaxing space and attentive hosts. The gas stove comes in handy if the power is out.

    Shiloh2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first air bnb experience and staying at Allie’s cottage was amazing! It was cute and the right size for our busy vacation. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the water was always hot for showers and the California breeze cooled the house down perfectly. This made our first trip to California amazing and so much better than if we stayed in a hotel. Allie left us notes and kept us informed via text about the power outage and conserving water, which didn’t even faze us since we were exploring the coastline every single day. The cottage is private, clean, super cute and a great price. Next time we come to California and are in the same area we are definitely booking Allie again!

    Rachel2019-10-14T00:00:00Z

  • What a gem! Short drive to shopping north and south, Capitola and Santa Cruz five miles away, and 30 min to Monterey area. The cottage is so cute, and even though it's really close to the hosts house, it's very private. Windows face hills and there's a great little outdoor seating area in the back. Their cat, Simba, is very friendly and is quite the character! Highly recommend!

    Debbie2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is tucked away and located in a quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed seven nights and can honestly say that it could be a second home for me. I heard owls at night and hawks by day. The friendly orange kitty kept me company one day while I was outside enjoying the porch area. I took many outings to local places and found it easy to access highway one. I hope to return soon to this wonderful property.

Welcome! Relaxing, comfortable private coastal studio with a 5 minute flat stroll along the creek to RDM Beach awaits you. BBQ on the patio! Don’t miss the sunset. Walking distance to Cafe Rio, Pixie Deli, coffee shop & Sea Cliff Shipwreck. Fun activities include wine tasting, hiking in Nisene Park, paddle boarding, biking, lounging on the beach, swimming, surfing, bonfire at the beach, dog walking and more! Not too far from Capitola Beach, Beach Boardwalk or kayaking at Moss Landing.
The Studio is detached from the main house and has it's own private entrance. In the front of the home. Attached full bathroom with shower. Kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, sink, counter, microwave, portable burner, toaster oven and cooking gear, plates and utensils. Propane BBQ grill on your private patio. The setting is very tranquil, surrounded by beautiful, old Oak and Maple trees with the sounds of birds chirping and very light and bright. The home is located on a quiet one way street. TV has a roku for streaming and Wifi internet and all other utilities are included. Open outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach with HOT water. Plenty of street parking in front. House is located across from the creek so it's quiet with no neighbors across the way, on a one way road. Dogs are welcome. There is a $25 per pet fee. We love pooches.
I love walking down the creek to the beach and the walkway to Sea Cliff Beach Pier and looking out at the Shipwreck. Love sitting outside at Cafe Rio and ordering the grilled artichoke. This area is pretty mellow and the ocean really is a marine sanctuary. I always see seals by the shore and dolphins frolicking about and certain times of the year loads of whales. Free admission to Sea World out there and with the birds and everything it's like something out of National Geographic at times.
  • Liz has such a nice place! We had a great experience. She was quick to respond and wanted to make sure our stay was great (which it was). We loved how close the beach was (5 minute walk) and there were quite a few restaurants close enough to walk. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

    Justin2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • great spot for single traveler or a couple! amazing location, so close to the beach! very clean and cozy (:

    Carmen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Liz's over a weekend to get away from it all for a little bit. Liz was quick to respond and communication was a breeze. Check-in was extremely easy as well. The best part about the bnb was how close it was to the beach. We had planned to spend most of the weekend in Santa Cruz but the Rio del Mar beach just a few blocks away from the bnb ended up being a much better idea and is where we ended up spending most of the weekend. Also, the bed was ridiculously comfy. Would definitely recommend both Aptos and Liz's bnb if you're looking for a low-key and relaxing get away.

  • It was cute with a great location and a very responsive host.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Liz’s place. Easy walking access to the beach, just as she indicated. The neighborhood feels very safe and family oriented. Everything was immaculately clean and it was really nice to have a private patio to use. The location is close to Aptos Village which has a nice strip of restaurants, bars, etc. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again if/when I am in the area.

  • What a beautiful location with views of the beach from the couch. Just breath taking sunsets we hardly ever watched tv. We had such a fun trip! It was clean and decorated beautifully. Such a quiet place except for the wonderful sounds of the ocean. If we needed anything our host was just a phone call away. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful beach home.

    Kelli2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible opportunity to be beach front with amazing views and sounds of the ocean at all times. Cute little downtown with a few restaurants as well. Couldn't get enough of the sunsets!

  • This is really an exceptional place. Spectacular (and I mean spectacular!) views of the Ocean, updated appliances and features, great communication. I come to the Santa Cruz area 3-4 times a year and I will try and get this place every time.

    Mitchell2020-01-28T00:00:00Z

A sunny space with a wet bar and a sofa that converts into a double bed. A full bath with a shower in tub. There are two private patios where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa.
The neighborhood is in a beautiful residential area, you drive up along Eucalyptus trees. Drive down and you can be in downtown Soquel in 2 minutes, less then 5 minutes to Capitola beach, downtown Santa Cruz 10 minutes, and 25 minutes to UCSC, of course it all depends on the traffic!
  • This was one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at! There was a personalized sign that greeted us immediately, and it’s clear Susan has a great attention to detail and wants all of her guests to feel welcome and have a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend if you’re in need of a place in the Santa Cruz/Soquel area!

    Ronald2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The best of the best. Amazing hospitality and amenities, comfortable beds, two porches to enjoy! Plus an electric fireplace.

    Joey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Airbnb I have stayed at, Susan is a fantastic host that makes you feel at home, so kind and thoughtful

    Nancy2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • If there were 10 or 100 stars to be given for these hosts and this home, we would have done so. 5 stars doesn’t even begin to cover our experience. For starters, Susan and Robert are the sweetest people on the planet. There was literally nothing left to wish for because everything was thought of and taken care of, from fruit, snacks, coffee and water in the kitchen, a fully supplied bathroom, a fantastic bed, to yummy chocolate left by our car the day we left. We sang an old Dutch song together (yes, they speak the language a bit!), “Daar was laatst een meisje loos”, which immediately made us feel like family, and we cuddled with 21-year old cat Shadow. We could not have felt any more welcome or comfortable and we left with tears in our eyes. So, in short: BOOK THIS PLACE! Don’t hesitate, not for a second!

    Mariske2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Susan goes above and beyond in every way. I felt like I was on a real vacation even though I was there for classes. I want to live in this place...

    Tiffany2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy place, lots of thought has gone into making you feel welcome. Susan is very responsive and friendly.

    Sean2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Oh my goodness this was the coziest experience! Susan goes all out with thoughtful touches and the place is roomy, cozy, spotless, with so many amenities and goodies, and a beautiful deck to boot! We didn't want to leave. I can't say enough good things. Hope to be back! Side note: the Airbnb "directions" button coordinates send you next door about two doors down, best to input exact address into GPS.

    Ariane2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Robert’s place was wonderful. Everything was better than expected. We really enjoyed our stay and the personal details made it feel like home. I’d definitely recommend it!

Shelter-in-Place in our serene paradise for the current COVID-19 pandemic. Message us to find out what extra precautions we are taking to comply with current CDC guidelines. Om Oasis is a beautiful and lush retreat center on several acres of a remote and peaceful mountain top property. The Om Oasis Retreat hosts guests who wish to connect with the beauty of nature. We are 10 minutes up the mountain and partially off-grid with limited cell reception but great WiFi connection.
This brand new tree house accommodates 4 guests and is placed among towering Redwoods. This clean and elegant space comes equipped with a full kitchen, modern and lux bathroom, a living room with a pull out couch revealing a full bed, and a comfortable king size bed located atop a loft adorned by an octagonal hand crafted cedar panel ceiling and skyview. For reference, this treehouse is 2 feet taller and larger in diameter than our cozier Cedar Treehouse, at 18' diameter and 18' in height, with a full size loft that is comfortable to completely stand up and walk around in. . . PLEASE note: This treehouse is located up a trail and then down a zig-zag wood chipped path and is not suitable for those with limited mobility or wheeled luggage.
Our property is on the border of Nisene Marks state park. We are on a ridge top with excellent views of the sunset, moon, and stars. We're also ten minutes from the town of Aptos where you'll find coffee shops, restaurants, grocery/convenience stores, and boutiques. The entrance to Nisene Marks State park, Sea Cliff state beach and Rio Del Mar beach are approximately 15 minutes away.
  • This place is amazing. The treehouse paired with the Om Oasis amenities made for the perfect relaxing getaway.

  • A gorgeous, magical place!!

    Sara2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING! Emberlie waited for me (even after I arrived hours later than my originally noted time), walked me through the property, and offered to help me with my bags. Will absolutely be back! I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mountain getaway and enjoys the outdoors.

    Sara2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special space, we didn’t want to leave. Hosts are very sweet, i used the yoga space which was very private and included mats, outdoor showers are amazing and the salt water spa bath is a lovely treat after a big day. It is a bit of an adventure to find but absolutely worth it! Would love to stay again and try the outside bath.

    Jazmine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Far beyond my own expectations. The gardens, trees, succulents, and local animal populations make this place such an amazing and tranquil place to visit. But beyond the natural beauty of the property they have created a magical little Oasis with a clean pool, hot tubs, and small walking trails leading to all the other fantastic amenities the place has to offer. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

    Jake2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing stay if you're looking to get away. The treehouse is truly peaceful and private. My girlfriend and I loved it but just remember to allow for drive time to and from places if you have reservations to make. It's a bit of a drive from Aptos but that's why it makes it a great getaway.

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived on site, we were blown away by both the hospitality and the gorgeous spread of land we’d be calling home for the next few days. If you are looking for serene and tranquil, this is your spot. Plus, it’s only a short drive from a nice little beach area. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you have an adventurous little one.

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at the Redwood Treehouse. Ashley led a private and peaceful yoga session for us upon arrival. The property was gorgeous and we enjoyed how secluded and private we felt our stay was, despite the retreat being fully booked. This Airbnb exceeded our expectations and we’ll definitely be back :)

Practice social distancing with a Sauna and soaking tub. Get away from the Chaos. Beautiful, private, relaxing, quiet cabin nestled in the Redwoods. With a large wrap around deck, outdoor bar, tree swing, rock climbing tree, outdoor tub, sauna, and hiking trails to the creek, anyone will feel recharged after a couple night stay. Guest will have full access to our off grid cozy cabin, with chopped wood to start a fire, full kitchen, internet, a claw foot tub with a modern Boho-chic feel.
This cabin is located on 12 acres of pristine Redwood forest, surrounding my hawks, owls and rich ecosystems.
There are a few property mates living on property. They are private and you can not see or hear them from the cabin. The closest neighbors is a few acres away and asks that people drive very slow past her house because of dogs and dust.
  • Gorgeous landscape, and comfortable cabin interior make for an easy stay. Power outage as advertised can last anywhere from a few minutes to over night, and low profile cars may have trouble navigating the road.

    Shane2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great relaxing location, quiet and lots of space. Lovely fireplace and comfortable furniture. Bring extra flashlights, power doesn’t kick in until later in the morning. Tech detox retreat!

    Jacek2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tania's place was truly magical! It was a gem nestled quietly in the redwoods. The view from the outdoor tub and glass window of sauna was pristine. The master bedroom has skylights that allowed you to slowly enjoy the sunrise in the morning. What was really great was that their place was very child safe and friendly! Perfect for our 22month old son. The second bedroom was very petite, perfect for a toddler. The kids books and crochet Caterpillar were nice touches! #parents #perspective. Besides that, the interior style and touches were very tasteful and fun.

    Alan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place surrounded by great views, I enjoyed the drive here and will plan to go back soon!

    Cynthia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t even put into words how amazing this place is. So many cozy places to nap and so much forest to explore. The tub and sauna were amazing. I really wished the outside patio lights worked, I would have felt more comfortable being outside at night. Overall I give this place a 10/10 would recommend.

  • A beautiful cabin at a beautiful location. You can disconnect from the world and just have a great time with your loved ones. The beautiful pictures in the listing don’t lie. The property is cozy and stunning. The hot tub was my favorite. And my dog loved the yard! The host is also very responsive and sent clear directions on how to get to the place. Great hospitality! I highly recommend it.

Tucked away in the towering redwoods this lush escape is awaiting travelers looking to relax, explore and enjoy. Go for a hike in a nearby state park, explore the coastline or luxuriate in the private hot tub. Whether you're coming for the sights, the scenes, or just relaxation, you'll love staying here because of the comfort, quality, and amenities. We also have a great tour guide to help you plan your visit or show you around. http://policypillars.com/santa-cruz-tour-guide.html
Our wonderful tiny cabin which sits tucked behind a private redwood gate, overlooking the hot tub and the flagstone landscaped courtyard lush with foliage. Inside the cabin there is a small table with chairs with basic kitchen amenities provided for you. There is also a full bathroom, but hot water is limited so please conserve!Upstairs is the cozy, low ceilinged loft, fit with a deluxe memory foam queen mattress and matching memory foam pillows. The loft is perfect for relaxation and rest, but do mind your head on the low ceiling! Fresh bedding is always provided for every guest. The hot tub is located just in front of the building and is for your personal use. The area surrounding it is landscaped with pebbles and beautiful flagstones, and there is a sitting area with a firepit provided for you.
Our home is located just 15 minutes from the beach and Route One. You will feel as if you are miles away from the city. But you are only two miles from Aptos Village. Which boasts a variety of boutiques, antique shops, and restaurants. Aptos is also home to a community college, hotels, and many beaches. The area surrounding the house is a classic coastal redwood forest. Nisene Marks State Park is a 20-minute hike from your door. We have a variety of wildlife that wanders by our home. Besides deer, you may see our neighborhood fox, coyote or wild turkeys! There is an abundance of birds who vocalize throughout the day, beginning early morning. The drive to our home is along a road framed by redwoods that follow Aptos Creek. Deer and quail cross the road along with other wildlife, so please drive slowly and enjoy the two-mile trip!
  • Anne’s tiny house cottage is a charming and delightful retreat tucked away in an idyllic forest getaway! Her hospitality was top notch! Highly recommended!

    Meg2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fabulous! The large tiny house door and ample private outdoor space really made the tiny house feel bigger. Also, it’s a tiny house- I’m surprised to have read some of the reviews complaining about size. Pictures are accurate and there was even more outdoor space than anticipated. The loft was quite spacious as well. I went solo for three nights and it all felt very private- loved the jacuzzi and so much to do nearby. Did lots of hikes and beaches; even drove the 80min for a day in Big Sur. It’s amazing how remote the location felt and yet plenty of grocery shopping/places to eat within minutes (and again, beaches!). Happened to see Anne when I arrived, she was very kind and sweet with a quick tour then otherwise I didn’t see a soul! Highly recommend and will certainly be returning :)

    Alexia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, quaint, little place, with an incredible ambience. In the middle of the forest, with a jacuzzi, under the stars- it doesn’t get much better than this. Would recommend 100%.

    Kaily2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s Redwood Retreat was everything we wanted for our romantic overnight / home base for a mountain bike weekend. Anne turned the heat in early so the guesthouse was nice and toasty when we arrived. The space is definitely cosy but was just right for the two of us, and the loft was really comfy with inviting lighting. The backyard and neighborhood are lovely. We didn’t get to use the hot tub but hope to return before too long!

    Anne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Anne's! It was such a cute, cozy place to stay and she offered so many items that helped us cook and made our trip easier. The area is beautiful and she gave extremely helpful directions!

    Kyla2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed 3 nights here and I had an amazing stay! The property is very easy to find and extremely cozy! I noticed I didn’t have any cellular service, which added to my stay. It was a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to come back!

    Ben2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely and cozy cabin nestled in the woods. It was close to town, but felt like a secluded area. The hot tub was perfect at night and the cabin had everything we could’ve possibly needed for our stay. The host was available if needed and very helpful on local tips/directions. We plan to return again and would suggest this AirBnB to anyone else!

    Emily2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super cozy tiny cottage! The hot tub was lovely and felt very private. The cottage has everything you need- a heater, a bathroom, a tiny kitchen. I wish we could have stayed more than one night :) Seems a tiny bit overpriced for how small the cottage is but it was still lovely

Super private, peaceful and quiet. This is a great place for the traveler who is excited about exploring the beauty of the mountains and coast of Santa Cruz. Completely private In-law unit with the extras needed to make it cozy. Snuggled between Scotts Valley, Felton, and Santa Cruz it's close to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, 1440 Multiversity, and Mount Hermon Conference Center. Less than an hour from Levi Stadium, Avaya Stadium and the Silicon Valley. Santa Cruz hosted rental #181333.
Your cozy, airy room comes with a queen-sized bed, private bath with shower, a "kitchenette" with a table for two, small refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and French press coffee maker (instructions for the French press are included in the house manual). You'll also find supplies for your morning coffee or tea, fruit and some food items just right for a light breakfast before you start your day. Be sure to browse the pictures! They show so much about the room in a way words can't.
Our neighborhood feels rural but you're only about a mile from grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and a movie theater. Scotts Valley is home to 8 coffee houses. Our favorite, Coffee Cat, is just over a mile away. They roast their coffee on site and it's their coffee you'll find in the refrigerator. You're also less than 1/4 a mile away from the hiking trails of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. If hiking is your passion you found the right place to stay! Several former guests have left annotated maps indicating their favorite trails. Feel free to borrow them for your hiking pleasure.
  • As Kevin Malone says “why waste time say lot word, when few do trick.” Judith’s Snug and Cozy between the Skyline and the Sea is quite simply the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It exceeding our expectations in every way: amenities, personal touches, local recommendations, everything! We are looking forward to staying here again during our next visit (if someone else hasn’t reserved it)!

    Daniel2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 would recommend this place!!! Could not say enough about the quality of this stay. Better than 5 stars because of Judith’s outstanding care, thoughtfulness, and quick communication—also the unit is GREAT! Lots of local tips and perfect location for hiking in the Redwood state park. Will definitely be telling family and friends to stay here!

    Kelly2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little studio very close to beautiful Santa Cruz. Judith was exceptionally sweet for setting up her coal grill for us, all we had to do was light a single match. The room had everything we needed like a flash light for a night walk and extra towels for the pool :) Would definitely stay here again!

    Yael2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful! Judith was there to greet us and made us feel comfortable right away. Exceptionally clean, convenient, cozy, and just adorable. She thought of everything and it was just the perfect amount of space for the two of us. Perfect stay in a lovely neighborhood just between Santa Cruz and the redwoods.

    Chelsea2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I was there during a weekend for a wedding in the area. I was too busy to take advantage of the pool in the backyard. This was a great place to get away and relax during this quick trip. I was also too busy to take advantage of the suggested activities listed in an activity binder.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far one of the best Airbnb my boyfriend and I have ever stayed at. Judith thought of everything you could ever need in the room, provided excellent recommendations for everything in the area, and the bed is honestly a giant pillow. It is only about a 15 minute drive to Santa Cruz -- highly worth it!

    Kate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Easy in and restful

    Maliki2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had everything we needed for our stay and appreciated the extra touches made to make us feel welcome. Need a Healthy Retreat? Spacious, light-filled home with gorgeous views of orchards and vineyards. Lap pool, hot tub, basketball court and ping pong, organic produce in garden and 10 minute drive to the beach. Great for families. Modern furnishings, porch swings, indoor and outdoor dining, organic bedding - more stars than you can count from the hot tub at night. Relax, connect with loved ones and recharge your life.
Great retreat for families. Get a good nights sleep! Comfortable, new, high-end organic bedding. The home is in a peaceful rural valley surrounded by nature, horse pastures and vineyards. 10 minutes by car to beach, shops and supermarket. Wonderful hiking and biking in vicinity. 19 minutes to Santa Cruz and 45 to Monterey. No parties. Quiet hours from 10pm-8am. Pool has a solar cover but is cool when it's not summer.
Unlike our sister beach and boardwalk in Santa Cruz which gets packed with tourists, our closest beach -Rio Del Mar - is miles long and frequented by locals. Great place to go for a stroll, take the stairs to wonderful ocean views, hold a bbq and check out the amazing half sunk ship. We're also close to renowned hiking under a canopy of massive redwoods at Nisene Marks park, local farmer's markets with fresh organics and home made delicacies. For folks who want to eat out, there are some terrific restaurants and the famous Aptos BBQ, for ribs and live blues.
  • Lovely home with gorgeous views. The light coming into the living room was wonderful to enjoy everyday. Comfortable beds. Peaceful neighborhood with fun things to see (horses, citrus trees, painter's studio a few doors down). Would stay again, thank you!

  • Rachel's place is great. I was running away from home with a stack of books for a few days. The place was utterly private and I felt completely safe. When I needed something the response was immediate. The master bed is super comfy, the swimming pool FANTASTIC. Every day I wanderedoff to a recommended spot. Unexpected treats; dolphins! At Rio Beach.

  • Rachel thanks for the perfect stay! We enjoyed everything. Location was quiet and house was very comfy. Had a great time on a backyard near the pool. Would recommend for peaceful vacations.

    Ivan2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The home is stylish and well appointed, uncluttered and very relaxing. It feels like your friend has loaned you their home instead of a rental. The kids loved the pool and spent hours playing ping pong on the beautiful wooden table. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in or grill out on the deck. We saw a coyote, several deer, and a zillion birds. Very close to the beach, boardwalk, and strawberry picking. We'd love to stay there again.

    Mark + Katie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start?? Rachel couldn’t have been more helpful, every email and question was answered within hours. When you arrive at the property which is in a beautiful valley off of the beaten track (but a short drive to the beach and Santa Cruz) you open the door to wonderful house which is spotlessly clean. The views over the valley, the swimming pool and basketball court from the raised position of the house are fantastic. Would I recommend this property? Definitely!! Thanks Rachel for letting us stay in your wonderful home

  • We spent a long weekend in Aptos and couldn’t have asked for a better home base. The home has everything you’d want: great kitchen, comfortable common areas, a beautiful outdoor pool space, and proximity to lots of great family activities. My daughter and niece were in the pool every day, and the local community offered lots of great fun as well for our family. Go check out Nisene Marks SP, Rio Del Mar, Aptos BBQ and Wilder Ranch SP. Rachel went above and beyond to answer our questions before booking and worked to make sure our family would have everything we needed to be comfortable. Thank you!

Full size mattresses are approximately 52 x 74 inches so it can accommodate guests a little over 6 feet tall. Taller guests should consider this when booking! PLEASE ALSO NOTE! We have replaced the old on-demand water heater with a new, dedicated on-demand water heater! No more "hot/cold" showers! Perfect temp and pressure for your enjoyment! Full kitchenette!
Our home is in a neighborhood that has children, dogs/cats and chickens. We have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 3 chickens ourselves - so it is a bit like the country in our back yard. Animal noise is there but not intrusive. Guests are welcome to text us if there are any noise disturbances that we can attend to.
  • Maria's place was a dreamy place to stay for a short trip to Santa Cruz! Thank you!

  • The studio/cottage is very sweet and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated being able to prepare meals there.

  • Maria was incredibly responsive. For example, I texted her at midnight the day before our stay asking if we could change our check-in time. She responded immediately and was very accommodating. We loved meeting the hens she lived with, they are very sweet and beautiful. The casita is a guesthouse in the back yard, which is basically a one room studio, but everything is very well organized and it feels like plenty of space. We had a wonderful time and would return if we came back to Santa Cruz.

  • This little casita is a jewel. The space is small but perfect for one person. I stayed a week this time for a solo writing retreat and the privacy and quiet were just what I needed to work. I love the old Wedgewood stove and could cook all of my meals with food I brought myself. That plus the discount for the week’s booking made it possible to give myself the gift of solitude, with the ocean nearby for evening walks at the end of the working day. Many thanks to Maria and Geoff for keeping this tiny space in good working order, clean and bright!

  • The guest house was very cozy and comfortable. Easy access to lots of fun Santa Cruz attractions and Maria is very welcoming!

  • A perfect stay and location near the Santa Cruz Harbor. The street is residential and felt very safe. I'd stay here again in a heart beat.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Casita has many lovely touches. We usually visit SC in the winter and I was relieved to find this place warm and cozy unlike some of the other places we've stayed. Maria is an excellent host and we will definitely return.

  • Maria’s casita is a true escape. Her lovely vintage decor and secluded location makes your feel like you’re in a private getaway! Maria truly goes out of her way to provide lovely touches throughout the house so you are not in need of anything. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with everything you could want! I cannot wait to go back to the casita!

Beautiful, cozy guest suite in adorable beach house jungle yard! 1 block from some of the best beaches for surfing, paddle boarding, tidepooling, and bonfires. Explore town on the electric cruiser bikes, use the surfboards or stand up paddleboards, soak in the hot tub! And then visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium with our 2 guest passes. See house rules for cleaning fee options.
New to airbnb? Use this referral code to set up a new account and get $40 credit!: airbnb.com/c/asjostrom2 This is a lovely little guest suite in a cute beach house. Private entrance and space. Hot tub, gas outdoor fire-pit, hammock, wood fired pizza oven in our little jungle yard (this part of the space is shared). Outdoor shower, with hot water, for when you come back from the beach (and a regular indoor shower of course). The room gets amazing light as there are skylights throughout. A block and a half from 26th Ave. beach, a few blocks from Pleasure Point (most consistent surf in town for beginners to advanced), and close to the 41st Ave. shopping and surf shops. We are the house of activity, adventure, and toys! Electric bikes/stand up paddleboards/surfboards/aquarium passes/etc. All included in the room rental. We have two electric pedal assist bikes that guests can use. They go up to 20 mph and are great for exploring all of Santa Cruz without having to use a car and worry about traffic and parking. Great for getting down to the boardwalk, downtown, westside beaches, or Capitola village. Santa Cruz really is best on a bike, as it's only about 6.5 miles wide, from Capitola to the far West Side. Plus, skip the hassle of renting bikes and the $70 bucks a day for renting electric bikes... We have two stand up paddleboards for guests to use. They are inflatable so you can fit them in your car and go to any of the incredible spots in this area: there are 2 lagoons right next to us with lots of great bird watching while paddling around, the ocean, the harbor, and our personal favorite the Elkhorn Slough about 15 minutes south. Which is a great spot to see wildlife. Otters/foxes/seals/so many birds. We have plenty of surfboards for guests to use. Fantastic surf 1 block away at 26th or right down the street at Pleasure Point, which is an excellent point break that has both advanced and beginner waves. We also have boogie boards, skimboards, frisbees, baseball gloves, footballs, soccer balls, beach games (Kan Jam, Spikeball, smash ball, etc), beach chairs and umbrellas all available for you to use. If you would like to use our Monterey Bay Aquarium guest passes, please let us know as soon as possible which day, as they can only be used once per day. If you are interested in using the wood fired oven, please let us know ahead of time, so that we can make sure to be prepared. If we are in town and free the evening you are here, we'd be happy to set you up and make some pizzas! The room has a TV set up with Chromecast. So you can stream anything (Netflix, HBO, Etc.) straight from your phone or laptop onto the TV through the Chromecast.
When you book we send you a color coded key and organized descriptions to a map of our favorites spots in Santa Cruz and Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur. Restaurants, coffee, bakeries, surf spots, beaches, hiking trails, events, shopping, etc. Everything we know and love in our area we set out for you. We are located in what I believe to be one of the better spots in Santa Cruz. One block from a couple of great surf spots, tide pools, big open sunny beaches and five blocks from Pleasure Point with good surf (even for beginners) and fun coves to explore and tide-pool in. Perfect middle ground for exploring both the touristy downtown/beach boardwalk and the colorful Capitola village with it's pier, restaurant and shops. If the weather is nice, skip the car and walk/bike the beautiful east side.
  • The stay here was quiet and beautiful. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax after a long day.
