Monthly Rentals in River Thames

Simon and Sharon did an amazing job at hosting us. This was a special trip for myself and my son and to celebrate his 7th birthday. They did so well with my Requests and decorated the boat for me along with set up of birthday cake! My little boy had no idea so it made his birthday very memorable. We were greeted on arrival and all made super easy. The bed is super comfy, lounge cosy and plenty of seating in the sun. It is a great location to be by the water and relax. Be wary of the yacht club, we went for dinner and drink, and entry was supposed to be included but they charged us £2 per person which found a bit off. I can’t say it was a nice atmosphere in there either. Wish I had just eaten on the boat tbh. We will be back for sure! Thank you Simon and Sharon x

I highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat, whether for a couple or a friend getaway. The tranquil setting creates a cosy, homey atmosphere. The hospitality was excellent, Catherine was delightful, providing clear instructions for entry and an accurate description of the property. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely choose to stay here again

My husband and I have stayed in many airbnb's and this apartment was one of the nicest. Tastefully decorated, clean, well equipped, in a lovely area and so QUIET! Slept like babies every night! Hannah was a delight and an incredibly good communicator! The apartment is about a 10 min walk into the charming town of Beaconsfield, where there are many excellent restaurants and shops. There is also a train in town with easy access to London and Oxford.

I had the most wonderful stay at The Bakehouse—so much so that a part of me wants to keep this little gem a secret! Nestled in the enchanting town of Berkhamsted, this cozy cottage quickly became my perfect hideaway, and I would absolutely love to return. From the moment I arrived, Jeremy’s kindness set the tone for my stay. On a rainy day, he went above and beyond by picking me up at the train station—a gesture that instantly made me feel welcome and at home. The Bakehouse is tucked behind their home just off the high street, yet it feels incredibly private, peaceful, and sheltered from any noise. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and I couldn’t help but be reminded of Iris’s cottage in the movie The Holiday—a charming retreat with all the warmth and character you could wish for. The location is fantastic, with so much to explore nearby. Whether you’re planning a short getaway or a longer stay, I can’t recommend The Bakehouse highly enough. It’s a truly special place!
