Great place to stay! The location can't be beat. Walkable neighborhood, easy access to local restaurants and activities. Santa Cruz and Mott Beach Cottage was a wonderful place to vacation for us!

We loved staying at Shelli’s home in Monterey Dunes Colony. Every room was set up nicely and clean, and you could tell Shelli has put a lot of care into the home. There were 7 of us and each family member enjoyed their stay. We love staying at Monterey Dunes Colony because the location can’t be beat. Every home has their quirks but honestly we didn’t find any at Shelli’s. It was comfortable to hang out and enjoy the beach and scenery, and close enough to outdoor activities and the aquarium. The living room is set up comfortably for a big group, while offering privacy too. It was a restful and rejuvenating getaway! We plan to book again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was so peaceful and we felt so at home. We're already planning a return trip!

Wonderful space! Comfy, charming, well appointed, clean. Specifically, an extremely comfortable bed. Perfect for a single person or couple, with walking distance to the beach. Andrew and Teyara were flexible and communicative. We’d definitely come back!

Beautiful place. The home fit all of our needs and was in the perfect location. Unfortunate we were told last minute about the construction to the rock wall on the ocean side, so we were not able to experience a true “beach front” vacation. Construction started right at 6:30am. The host was however very accommodating and did offer a last minute cancellation or 25% off our stay. We chose the 25% discount due to it being our spring break and did not want to cancel on our kids. I’m sure as soon as the construction is done it’ll be a perfect spot again. Would love to go back!

Joyce’s place was clean and had a really great location. We thought we were right on the Cliff so that was kind of a bummer to have a house in front of our ocean view. But the place was really nice, and very clean! The space was really cool and had great decoration. Beds were comfortable. Kids were happy. We loved playing in the hot tub and in the garden in the backyard.

this house is sooo close to the beach! The neighborhood is friendly. The house is comfortable with a great deck and lots of space. I definitely plan to stay here again. Myriam answered questions promptly and takes great care of the house.

I stayed a few days in Nalin's charming home while visiting relatives in San Jose. The home had everything I needed, and was comfortable & cheerful. I especially liked the coffee table in the front room that converts to a desk. I had a big data collection project to work on while I was there, and the space was great for spreading out and getting the work done. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I was especially delighted by the little lights accenting the front yard at night. The house is a short drive from shopping & restaurants. Beds were really comfy. Lots of thoughtful details. I would definitely stay again.

Such a great location! Very peaceful and quiet spot. House was very comfortable and great for a group. Parking in the village is always a challenge but was made easier because the host outlined several options in pre-arrival messages and in an onsite binder.

Had an amazing time at Louise's place for our mini family reunion. Place was set up great for two families and was especially helpful for our toddler with the baby gates already on the stairs and the child lock on the games cabinet. The house was exceptionally well appointed with beach toys in the garage, games, books, and even kids place settings. Would absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Ian's house! The property looks exactly as the photos. We dealt with Ryan, who was amazing and really went above and beyond for us. My husband and I travelled from Australia and had never been to Santa Cruz, Ryan sent us so many great recommendations! He was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed and even offered a later check out for us. We spent 4 nights in total and would have loved to stay longer. We travelled the coast over a few weeks and wanted to end our trip someplace we could really relax. The house is so cosy, with a comfortable living area and couch if you want to lounge in the evening. We spent every night in the hot tub too and it felt very private and quiet. The place itself is in a great location, we walked everywhere we went, you can get to the wharf, boardwalk, restaurants, cafes etc very easily. We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Santa Cruz to hit up a few more of the recommendations - thanks Ryan!

we really enjoyed our stay in Aptos. there were thoughtful touches throughout the space. it was very convenient when traveling with an animal and the host was very responsive. the home was much more beautiful than the pictures depicted. very enjoyable, stay and getaway

This house was great for our family of four. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped, and the outside area gave the kids a nice place to play. Our toddler especially enjoyed the Thomas train set in his room! This is a lovely area of Santa Cruz too - easy walk to the beach and Boardwalk.

We love this place. They have thought of everything you will need from life vests and beach toys for the kids to parchment paper to cook with. All you need to bring is your own food and clothing and your set. Great location to walk down to the beach or go over to Marriannes for some ice cream. It is clean and cozy and we can't wait to come back.

Lori's place was perfect for a large group of people to both enjoy each other's company in the large living/dining/deck areas, while having privacy for sleeping. It's two stories with lots of space inside and outside with a third story outside crow's nest deck as well. The hot tub was a bonus! The beach access was incredible and the best thing about the location. It's just a 2 min. walk away! The neighborhood is tranquil. Lori was easy and great to work with as well! What a special time!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautifully decorated with cool art and cozy furniture. It had the perfect beach vibe. The landscaping was incredible. Twin lakes beach was just a short walk down the street. The neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful. We would highly recommend this rental and would be happy to visit again sometime.

My husband and I took our two littles (3yrs and 5months) on a quick trip to Santa Cruz and this place was perfect. We really enjoyed how close the house is to the boardwalk and to downtown. Backyard is a great place to hangout and we really enjoyed using the hot tub.

Such a beautiful peaceful stay for our time exploring Monterey and Big Sur! We loved being able to walk right down to the beach! Perfect spot for our family to spend a long weekend trip.

Stay here!! This cozy beach cottage was sooo nice. The pictures don’t fully do it justice. The location is great - just steps from the coastal walking path. It has a great kitchen — cooked several meals here. We also loved the outdoor space with the fireplace, hot tub & outdoor tv! The bed was super comfy as well. I worked during most of our stay ant the internet was super fast for that also. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house in every way!!!! The house is adorable, comfortable, accessible to every part of Santa Cruz and included every single item needed or wanted!! We will be back and are hoping that Colleen's house is available! one word on our host.... we stay in a number of Airbnb's and Colleen was PERFECT and I mean a PERFECT host.... Perfect stay!

This stay far exceeded our expectations. Very well stocked, well-decorated, and spacious with many amenities. Comfortable couches and a small backyard. We loved the hot tub and beach equipment. Could have stayed here for a month! I also appreciated the kind hosts. The location is awesome, easy walk to the beach. We stayed here with a girl’s weekend and loved it.

Our new Santa Cruz favorite airbnb! Comfortable, great location near the boardwalk, but not too close....just perfect, quiet, tons of space, so much thought put into the furnishings, well stocked kitchen - had everything we needed. An added plus, is the accommodation for little young ones- our daughter and her grandchild came over for dinner and the highchair was perfect. The only criticism I can think of, is it would be nice to have operable windows in the living room to have some fresh air- but that's it. All in all, this is a wonderful home away from home.
