Family-friendly vacation rentals in Portland

Awesome place! We really enjoyed our stay at Malcolm’s place. The house is beautiful and it feels like home, the TVs on every room and the living room are very convenient, the internet is great, our children really enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Malcolm was very attentive and really easy to talk to. We had a really great time.

We stay with Therese about twice a year and have done so for years. It is close to our adult granddaughter's apartment and is a great place for our family to hang out together for meals and movies and other family activities. We love the peaceful surroundings including many big, beautiful old trees and proximity to the river. And though we have been coming for years, we still discover new things. This trip two of the new things in the neighborhood include J&R Mexican Food on McLoughlin, which has very tasty and reasonably priced Mexican food, as well as discovering Stringfield Family Park only a few blocks away on SE Naef Rd. It is also along the Trolley Trail (another good things for fitness walkers to know about in the neighborhood. Stringfield is a lovely place to have a picnic or stroll along a creek whose residents include ducks and nutria, and if you have playground age kids, they will love the fun and creative play structures! We always love staying at Therese's!

The cabin was just what we wanted. Beautifully surrounded by the forest with gorgeous views of the river and plenty to explore. We enjoyed the easy fireplace, walked in the river just steps away, and hiked the multiple water falls just down the road. Kitchen had everything we needed for specially planned meals and the place was comfy in each room.

My husband and I rented this space to see some of the local sites. It was close enough to downtown without being right in down town. It had a lovely atmosphere and just enough space for the two of us. The hosts were great about getting back to us about our questions and communitacted when they needed to come into the driveway of the airbnb for a delivery. We had a great time and really appreciated the space.

The house was very comfortable, clean, and homey. Our host was very responsive any time I reached out and made sure we had everything we needed. I would just caution anyone with mobility issues that the driveway is steep and there are steep stairs at the entrance to the house. There are handrails at both places that are helpful. We would stay here again.

This place was amazing! Straight out of a movie, it was so serene and beautiful! The host was super responsive and helpful and the house was beautifully curated and comfy! Would absolutely stay again!

This was our second time staying at Melissa's. We love it. Super cozy, great clawfoot tub, and Melissa is great.

Jen‘s place was extremely clean. Easy to get into. Nice that they have a washer and dryer, and dishwasher although I didn’t need to use any of the appliances. The place was spacious. I didn’t take advantage of the outside patio area, I can only imagine how great it is in summer. Would definitely consider staying there again.

This home is comfortable for large groups and has a park like backyard. Everything was just lovely and well stocked amenities in the kitchen for spices, oils, dishes. Would definitely stay again! Game room garage was a bonus for the guys!

This was the perfect home base for our long weekend in Portland. Just a few steps away from Hawthorne Avenue full of great restaurants and shops. Also just a short walk to Laurelhurst Park and its off leash dog area. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Portland for the first or fiftieth time.

Perfect location for our stay. The house was in great condition and very comfortable to stay in. Brian was very responsive and we look forward to renting again in the future.

Amy's house was perfect for us! We were in Portland for our daughters's wedding and there were always lots of people around. The kitchen, dining room and living room are one big open space so it was great to have people over. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are updated. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils and basics such at spices, etc. As a host, Amy was very responsive, accommodating and generous. The location in the heart of the Alberta Arts District is charming with lots of shops and restaurants, but the house is far enough off the main drag that it is quite peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed the large spaces, especially the living/dining/kitchen area. The dining table was ideal for board games, and it was nice that we could all sit comfortably in the living room. The bed linens were very soft, even though the beds themselves weren't as comfortable (for us -- very subjective). The master bath had some minor detritus in the tub from the skylight too, but everything else was spotless. All in all, we had a lovely time, and Mary Jean was thoughtful, respectful, and helpful.

Peaceful stay. Lots of pillow choices, extra blankets, and much more. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains made for easy sleeping. Fawnda is super responsive. Enjoyed the stay. Location met our needs.

Our group stayed here for a weekend and it was the best place to accommodate our large group since it has comfy queen beds for each of us. What we enjoyed the most is the living area that opens up to the kitchen where our group hangout for the most part. The house is upstairs but we didn’t hear anything from the people below us and we didn’t have a hard time parking. It has plenty of space and we recommend this house for your big groups!

Has everything you need for a weekend stay in McMinnville. Comfortable beds, all the listed amenities were in good working order. Lovely backyard space and easy to navigate location.

We stayed here for a relaxing weekend. It was quiet, clean, and had a beautiful view. Susan was welcoming and responsive. There was plenty to do in the immediate area, and it was an easy jaunt into Beaverton or Portland.

Michelle's place was the perfect size for our family of 6 and a dog. There was plenty of space, comfortable size bedrooms and lots of toys for kids! Location is amazing; right next to a ton of restaurants, food carts and shops. For its location, there was barely any street noise heard when inside the house, which was an added plus! There is no on-site parking, but we never had trouble finding parking nearby. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again if Michelle would have us.

We enjoyed our stay - the space was cute and clean and the location was perfect for our needs. Travelled with young kids and a pup and everyone was happy.

Shelly was an amazing host. She asked our favorite snacks and coffee so she could have it ready when we got there. Shelly is very responsive and thoughtful.

I got this Airbnb for my friends and family who were visiting for my wedding. The space was very nice and incredibly spacious, which made it perfect for our needs. The bathroom was spotless and well-stocked with extra towels, which I really appreciated. Having two large washers and dryers was a huge bonus. One of my favorite parts was how close the location was to my wedding venue — it made everything so much easier. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful stay! The community was peaceful yet busy. We truly enjoyed our stay and the house was exactly what we needed. Everything was in the open, clean, and neat. The host provided more than enough and we’ll be coming back here whenever we visit Oregon again!

Everything was so well organized and beautiful. Had a lovely experience. Antony and Fotoula were so considerate and the wine that they gifted for our stay was the perfect welcome to Portland from the airport. The location was exactly where we wanted and the food recommendations they offered were phenomenal.

The hosts were very thoughtful. The place was spotless and pretty, homey in a good way! The recliner was a plus for us. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Everything we could want in the kitchen. We would come back if in town again.
