Family-friendly vacation rentals in Port Hueneme

We loved the house and the location and enjoyed our stay. Our group of 12 friends, the max the house can accommodate, stayed for three nights. All of us had comfortable beds, all bedrooms have nice décor. The living room is large with comfy sofas and chairs. The dining table could seat 12 so it was great for all of us to sit around and relax. The house and kitchen were well equipped. The only items we had to ask for were extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels which were promptly delivered by the onsite caretaker. We enjoyed the pool table, and the library in the loft but didn’t get time to soak in the hot tub on the back deck. The property is surrounded by trees and greenery. The site and house are rustic but very comfortable. There are two full bathrooms, and both are upstairs. A half-bath downstairs would have been great, but it was only a minor inconvenience. Location is very convenient - just a 10-minute drive from Ojai downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved this place! It was so relaxing to be right on the water, and to be able to hop in the hot tub on a cold morning :) The beds were incredibly comfortable and the primary bedroom felt like a luxury suite. The host and property manager are also lovely. Very kind and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Stayed for 4th of July and there was plenty to do at the Harbor. This location had plenty of extras in the garage and the hot tub was nice to relax in at night. You are able to walk to the beach and restaurants are very close.

Kim is a very nice, responsible host. This is the second time we stayed at her house. The location is quiet and convenient. The house is spacious and clean. We will come back again!

Place was more than described felt like home peaceful quiet!! Loved all plants flowers ,herbs!! Relaxing more than enough supplies to cook with which is what our family loves to do cook!! The hot tub was a bonus on our achy bones Wish didn’t live so far away would come back in heartbeat 💗

What a great Airbnb in the heart of Ventura. Everything in the home reflected perfection and quality. We loved it. Great cafes walking distance and really peaceful and lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend.

I had a fantastic stay at Deborah’s place! The home was absolutely amazing—spotlessly clean with stunning views that made every moment feel special. The host Linda was very responsive. We were evacuated due to the Palisades and other wild fires, and we were very disappointed! But Linda called in the middle of the night telling us we had to leave. Power went out eventually in the unit and we returned quickly to retrieve all of our belongings. We were able to go and stay with friends we were supposed to be visiting. Since the situation was so terrible, we arranged to leave early for our second destination and Linda was very gracious about refunding our early departure and Airb&b was very helpful and refunded our entire stay. Hopefully, when we return for our son’s wedding in May we will have the full experience!

We loved this place for a girls weekend. Beds were comfy and lots of room to sit and visit.

The place was cute, clean, and quiet—just what we were looking for. The AC kept things cool during a hot weekend, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the shaded, paved parking area. The fenced area was great for our two medium-sized dogs, and the property is definitely pet-friendly. Perfect spot for a family of four traveling with pups! If we ever travel to Ojai again, we will be sure to stay here!

Hummingbird Cottage is adorable. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the fountain was soothing. The house is very small, so not suited to someone really tall. Our daughter stayed in the treehouse and loved it. The location was great for catching the boat to the Channel Islands.

We rented this house for our daughter’s college graduation. The inside of the home was perfect for hosting a few friends after the ceremony. The outside was great as well, plenty of room., had horseshoes in the back and a putting green. The View was gorgeous from the back sitting area. Our only regret was we didn’t have more time there. Would definitely rent again if the opportunity comes.

Such a beautiful nature spot! Wish I’d booked another night so I could spend a whole day by the creek. I’ll definitely be back again!

My stay at Vivian’s place was truly wonderful! Her home is located at a very convenient location, close to everything: the market, Downtown Ventura, Botanical gardens, and the pier! The inside of her house is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and decorated so nicely. The pictures posted did not do it justice; we were pleasantly surprised! My family and I enjoyed cooking together in the spacious kitchen. The patio dining area is so lovely, but we were too cold to eat outside this time. The living room is great, my kids loved hanging out there! Vivian offers nice streaming options on TV and some games to play, so the kids were entertained the whole time. The bedrooms are serene and tastefully decorated and we appreciated plenty of closet space and the hangers. The master bedroom and bathroom are the best! My parents really loved their stay there. The room is so spacious: there is a bed, walk-in closet, a sofa, and a desk/chair. Thank you Vivian for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our family, and the highlight for all of us—especially the kids—was the pool. They spent hours swimming and playing, and it was such a relaxing space for the adults too. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Adam was incredibly responsive and kind—any time we had a question or needed something, they got back to us right away and were super helpful. That made a big difference and made us feel really taken care of. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a fun and easy getaway. We’d love to come back again!

We have been coming annually to this house and we have so much fun! Everything is so clean and just such a great stay! Would recommend and stay again!

My wife and I booked a last minute escape from the city for the long weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Murray greeted us upon our arrival, horses feeding by the driveway and gave us some carrots so we could introduce ourselves to them! Murray then led us straight up the hill to our airstream with breathtaking views. The property was sprawling with phenomenal sunrises and sunsets that started and finished our days. You can go hiking on trails adjacent to this property or spend time exploring the acreage. We went to the beach to surf during the days but made sure we took our time to enjoy the views while cooking our breakfasts and dinners at the rental. We even had fresh eggs arrive at the RV from their chickens. The nights were cooler but rest assured we were in no rush to leave the comfortable bed, and warm blankets when we could drink coffee, read and watch the sun rise from there! 10/10 we will be back and we highly recommend

Family get away with our adult “kids”. Perfect spot to enjoy the beach, close surf spots and walkable to local eateries. Pool and hot tub are a great add! Just the right place for us!
