Gratitude View is an absolutely wonderful property -- the inside is beautifully and thoughtfully arranged with lovely furnishings and amenities. The hosts of this property thought of everything a guest might want. From fully-stocked coffee and tea bar, to games and puzzles and books, to throw blankets, to the clean and spacious layout, everything was there for a wonderful stay. And the view is spectacular. This is a really special spot and we give it our highest recommendation. In addition, the host was extremely communicative and accommodating, and gave us excellent local recommendations and was a delight to interact with. Having this house available at Thanksgiving was a highlight of the weekend. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Pat’s place. There isn’t one thing I’d change at all. The place was spotless and very well decorated. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into this place. Definitely worth every penny. Pat was super responsive & VERY accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Havenwood Chalet was one of the most comfortable and well-thought-out places we've ever stayed. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that a lot of care went into creating a space that feels welcoming, functional, and easy to settle into—almost like being at home. The layout is practical and spacious, with cozy furnishings, soft linens, and a kitchen stocked with everything you might need (and then some). Whether it was the convenient hooks by the door, the extra blankets, or the labeled light switches, every small detail was considered, making it incredibly easy to relax and feel at ease. The setting is peaceful and private, perfect for winding down without distractions, and we really appreciated how quiet and well-insulated the space felt. It struck a perfect balance between modern comforts and a cabin-in-the-woods vibe. Communication with the hosts was seamless, and everything was exactly as described—or better. We will be booking again soon! Thank you!

This was the perfect little spot for our weekend. Close to the Parkway and several places to eat from fancy to low key within a few minutes. This is an older home that made me feel like I was at grandmas. I kept waiting to find something wrong but in the end will be going back for sure.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here with our son. We just desired a place to rest and take a break from our busy lives. We were blessed with perfect weather and spent most of our days by the babbling creek having breakfast or coffee and a good book. Amy was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations and even set up a crib for our son to use before we arrived.

Beautiful place, I wish checkout was a bit more flexible but really enjoyed the view and had everything we needed. Host was nice and very responsive.

Such a peaceful stay. The balcony has great mountain views. We felt right at home. The tennis court was an added bonus as the kids wanted to spend a lot of time there. Very quiet area.

10/10! A beautiful, spacious country cottage surrounded by plenty of nature. Loved the set up of the house. Clean with clear signs of fine craftmanship and intention, making a cozy home feel. Spent lots of time exploring the area with my pup, hiking and visiting local shops. Would definitely recommend for those looking to get some quiet time and solitude amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stunning and serene, perfect if your idea of a weekend trip is to relax, be outside and enjoy the amenities. Not too far from the surrounding cities. Extremely clean.

Spencer was a wonderful host - he messaged us early the morning of check-in and let us know that we could arrive at any time that day - the Airbnb was ready for us. Super thoughtful. The home was very inviting and clean. It had everything we needed and was absolutely cute. It is near a state park, so we spent an afternoon exploring the state park and hiking. Not only was the home beautiful, the surroundings were beautiful also. Overall - great experience.

George was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed here during my son’s graduation week. I would absolutely come back and stay again. I will say the description says it sleeps 6, however there is a charge for more than 4 people to stay and the pull out couch for the 5/6 people is not comfortable. I would bring a mattress cover and additional blankets if you are sleeping more than 4. I would also bring some outdoor chairs or folding chairs. We used this as a place to gather w family after the ceremonies. Not close to much, but very quiet and private and the pool table was a bonus!

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

The Condo was very comfortable and the view and closeness to the lake made for a perfect location. We also enjoyed the walking path to the restaurant on the property.

“Tranquility Cove” is a perfect description of our restful & relaxing stay that my husband & I enjoyed during Mother’s Day weekend. Mary Anne is an exceptional host who provided for all our comforts with every amenity that we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. The view of the sunrise over the lake & mountains along with the peaceful surroundings, access to the swimming pool & fitness center provided all that we needed for our dream-vacation-weekend. My husband & I have found our vacation destination at SML!

This was a great place to stay for our first time visiting SML! Beautiful views and very comfortable. Only 10 min drive to the grocery store, which is good for this area.

We had a great time staying here! The view of the lake right outside the window was amazing. It was too cold to get in the lake but the heated outdoor pool right next to the condo was perfect! The condo itself was clean, easy to access, and had everything we needed for a weekend away. We will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at SML. The location was very clean and well maintained. Everything that was advertised was accurate. There were tons of activities available around the lake. We would highly recommend this location to anyone interested in a peaceful stay near Roanoke, VA.

We found this getaway to be so peaceful! We loved how clean the place was ! We are already looking forward to another trip ! Minus the kids ! The kids had a blast as well ! Lots to do !
