Many nice amenities including on site parking, two full bathrooms, large second floor bedroom for privacy. 23 minutes from Great Lakes Naval Base, 38 minutes to downtown Chicago, 22 minutes to Six Flags. My group immensely enjoyed our stay. The views were beautiful and the amenities were very nice. We really enjoyed using the grill and the campfire. The location is very quiet and peaceful, and it was very easy to relax. Nick was very responsive and always responded quickly and helped us fix every issue. Nick was also very flexible with our check-in time, and was even able to help us get inside at 12 AM in the morning. If I ever go back to Fox Lake, I would 100% choose to stay here again.

The house looked just like the beautiful photos & Jay was incredibly responsive throughout the visit. This home is located close to 290 to go downtown or further out to the 'burbs quickly. We needed a home to stay last minute, and Jay was accommodating to that as well - we were happy to find this spot with all the space we needed inside and out. As a bonus, we met neighbors who were very friendly.

Tim & Robin's place was wonderful! The cottage (#1) was exactly like the pictures and was very clean. Tim & Robin live on-site and we were greeted upon arrival. Through the weekend we had several passing conversations that were very pleasant. They had lots of solid recommendations and made sure we were comfortable. The property itself was simply dreamy! There was a nice beach area as well as an elevated deck overlooking the lake. We would definitely recommend renting here and plan on returning at some point in the future.
