This is the perfect spot for a Round Top trip - close enough to the main drag, but enough distance to be peaceful. Truly 5-10 minute drive away from all the antiquing things and just a few minutes drive into downtown. Nancy and her family were so responsive and helpful and made great recommendations to us for the antiques show, which can be overwhelming! The photos show a lovely home, but in person, you can appreciate all the fun little decorative touches and neat antique furniture. Spacious, quiet, and lovely. Great AC, super clean. Also, the home had great books about antiques and home furnishing and the guides for the current antique show, which was super helpful. The donkeys and chickens added to the fun!

The friends I was traveling with said this is the nicest vacation rental they have ever stayed at. The river location is just unbeatable. Going to steal that green house idea some day too. And the house had everything we needed and functioned just like being in our own homes. Andy was communicative and left great recommendations on what to check out in town.

Nora greeted us when we arrived. The house was just as beautiful as it was in the pictures. The interior was beautifully decorated with a mid-century and vintage sort of style. The rooms were spacious and allowed for ample room for the five of us. Next, the AirBnb was very close to downtown, and allowed us to experience the interesting nightlife of Bastrop. Lastly,the story of the house made us fall in love with the house more, and made our stay feel much more inviting and special; as well as an honor.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay in the Eisley cottage! The location is incredible, especially during the Round Top Antique Show. The bed was SO comfortable and there was plenty of space in the cottage for us! Cutest decor and had everything we needed for our stay. Paige is a wonderful host and we’re looking forward to making another trip back!

Great place to stay! So many amenities are provided. Loved the various outdoor cooking options, hot tub, and pool table. So much space for everyone. The largest couch I think I have ever seen. Everything had been cleaned thoroughly. A previous review mentioned the floors being unclean, it was a build up of soap residue that a quick vinegar rinse took off. It can happen when you mop too much with certain types of soap/cleaners, it is not a lack of cleaning. Amber was super responsive and helpful! We had a minor issue that Amber helped with in minutes. The only negative is the request to not flush toilet paper that is posted in the master bathroom. Septic issues are not unusual, but for some people this could be an issue and they should know about it before booking. I would love to stay here again and would recommend it highly.

The home is truly an architectural masterpiece with attention to detail down to the fragrances as you enter. The primary reason we selected the home was a good night’s sleep, as the previous reviews were complimentary of the beds. They weren’t wrong - the beds, pillows and bedding would give the four seasons a run for their money. Highly recommend!

This was the first time our family has done any type of camping and we enjoyed every minute of it. The place was set up perfectly and had such a great view. We brought our jetskis and parked them at the dock throughout the day making lake access extremely easy. We will definitely be back.

It was great! We stayed two nights for Sherwood Forest. the outside area was our favorite. after a long day of walking around we put the kids to bed and made a fire and had a blast sitting and talking with good people.

James and Amy were wonderful. They made us feel right at home. The cottage was beautiful and well kept. It was so peaceful and it had plenty of room for the kids to play. Their horses were beautiful and friendly. They truly went above and beyond to show us hospitality. They also recommended some places that we could visit. We highly recommend staying here.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is a smart home so everything is easy to do. There are plenty of wired USB ports to charge anything you need. The appliances are all high-end. It is a charming place in a lovely old part of Bastrop. Everything in it is comfortable and attractive. It seems quite new and was clean as a whistle. Thank you for a wonderful stay Alex!

This was our second time staying at Patty’s upstairs guest house/apartment for dance competitions in Bastrop, and it was just as great as the first! The space is always clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is convenient, and everything is well-maintained. I really appreciate the thoughtful touches, like the cold water bottles in the fridge and the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom—small details that make the stay even more convenient. Check-in is always smooth, and Patty is responsive and easy to communicate with. We’ll definitely be back for future competitions and highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area!
