Lake side house rentals in Lake Hickory

Beautiful place in a peaceful country setting, but also very close to many things and downtown Hickory. Was very clean with cozy beds. We would definitely rent again in the future when we come back to the area. Thank you Bob & Nancy!

I would recommend this spot for family gatherings or smaller to medium sized groups. Perfect location for activities on the water. Has a very private feeling but are still very close to all the stores you need. Hosts are friendly, communicative, and they have an awesome book that goes over everything in the house.

We had a blast at Lynne’s place! It is such a cozy home with fantastic Lake access. Very private and felt right at home immediately!

Loch Norm Lair is beautiful and relaxing. Great neighborhood. Just the peaceful week we needed. Rick and Judy are extremely friendly. Rick loves to share his boat and will take you for a ride. We sat and talked with them on several occasions and shared a dinner at a restaurant. The place is well cared for and a great deal, very reasonable pricing. It was a shame the sailboat wasn't working, would have loved a ride. We are already talking about a return trip in warmer weather to fully enjoy the water. Thank you so much for the beautiful week. We had a wonderful ladies weekend here. The house was beautiful and the the surroundings were so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting at the dock and kayaking. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend. We would love to come back again in the future.

Beautiful place to stay! Loved the huge screened in porch and the upstairs area was great for kids hangout spot. I wish we had a water craft to enjoy the lake but we were in town to host a wedding. We did get to enjoy the dock and a little swimming the day after festivities. Would definitely stay again.

Beautifully renovated lower level with everything you need! Comfy couch and bed. Right on a quiet cove and a great place to watch the sunrise. Some quirky things like needing an additional app to control the thermostat but responsive host. Thanks for a great stay!

Million dollar views! We enjoyed our stay beautiful views of the sunset right on the lake. This place was so peaceful. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Scott communicated and checked on us during our stay. Will definitely stay again!

My friends & I enjoyed this stay overall. We were celebrating my 40th birthday, & the house definitely served that purpose in many ways. It's very big & spacious, many cozy rooms with very comfy beds, & of course the best part of the property is the SPECTACULAR view of the lake, no matter where you're in or around the house. Also really loved the sun room but was disappointed we mostly couldn't use it at night because it was too cold out and the space is not well-insulated or heated. We tried to use space heaters, but that mostly didn't work. There were a few other issues throughout the house, like a few of the sunroom panes being off their track and seemingly impossible to put back on, a broken freezer handle, big speakers throughout the common areas that mostly didn't work, string lights in the sun room that were partially out and the main light out there not coming on, & the stove requiring stainless steel pots and pans to work. Otherwise, a great spot & getaway. I would come back.

Absolutely stunning location, truly one of the most peaceful and breathtaking places we’ve stayed. The views are beyond spectacular, and the quiet serenity made it the perfect escape. David’s home was beautiful, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need. He’s an incredible host, welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. We had the most relaxing weekend and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with plenty of space. The view of the mountains off the rear deck are priceless and the hot tub turned those cool days into a warm relaxing day. Would recommend everyone to stay at the freckled fawn for their getaway to the area.

We loved the home. The weather was iffy with the winter storm coming in and we had to leave a day early. But that’s not her fault!!! The cleaning could have been better; especially the tops of furniture. And the water took forever to heat up in the master bath…all in all it was a great place in a great location. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Views are beautiful in the snow!

Such a unique home tucked away in the trees! Very clean! The living room was spacious for all of us to hang out. We loved the swings, hammock and creek running through the front of the property. It was SO peaceful! Great location as well, 2 mins away from the alpine coaster (worth it!) & very close to restaurants. Chuck was very responsive which is always reassuring. The house is a little tricky to find but following Chuck’s directions and doing a second lap on the street we were able to easily spot it.

Our family had the absolute best experience staying at Debbie’s incredible cabin this past weekend! We gathered to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday with kids and grandkids, and we truly could not have pulled off such a memorable and successful weekend without this amazing home. The cabin itself is breathtaking — spacious with three floors to spread out, a pool table that kept everyone entertained, tons of board games for family time, and a hot tub overlooking one of the most stunning mountain ranges we've ever seen. Being the very last house at the end of a mountain road made it feel incredibly private and peaceful — exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. That kind of seclusion is rare and made all the difference. Everything in the house was in perfect working order — you can tell Debbie takes great care of the property. From start to finish, her communication was fantastic. She was responsive, thoughtful, and quick to take action on anything we needed. 1 MILLION STARS!!!!!!

We had the pleasure of spending our wedding weekend at this beautiful property, and it exceeded all expectations. The space was spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and offered a breathtaking view that we’ll always remember. The host’s communication was excellent, and the house rules were both clear and reasonable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would be delighted to return and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and seamless experience. It was truly exceptional.

Christina was so helpful in my wedding planning process! We used this space to host an intimate dinner with family and she was super responsive and communicative. She even let me see the space when I was in town for my wedding venue site visit. The house was immaculate and it was perfect for me and my bridesmaids to stay the night. If I’m ever in the area again with a group I would absolutely stay here. The downstairs game room was also a HUGE hit. Thank you Christina for helping create such wonderful memories with our family.

Absolutely stunning views. We had everything we needed to stay cozy when the winter storm came. The location is fabulous and very easy to get to the local restaurants. The condo was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the shuffleboard table while watching the snow fall.
