Kona Reef D36, Direct Oceanfront! Top Floor! A/C

MerrieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We immediately felt right at home and welcomed by Regina and Scott. From the well organized binder of information to every amenity one might need, this is THE place to spend a week. When not running out to the sites on the Big Island, this property will meet all your needs. The room was quiet and had easy access. We could easily walk to town or have dinner on our private lanai while watching the sunset. When the staff blows the conch shells at sunset, all will be right in your world.

Ocean view with central location tropical paradise

JourneeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Host was great at communicating how to check in, and checking in if I needed anything. Good location and walkable to small beach & farmers market. Probably need car/uber to reach coffee shop/restaurants/downtown. Having pool access was a plus. Apartment was clean, nicely furnished, cozy & had all the supplies you may need when traveling (towels, chairs, laundry, insulated cups)

Oceanfront with AC @ Sea Village

GwynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Just like the photos-right on the water in a nice complex with a clean pool and nice amenities. Our kiddo loved having beach toys and we appreciated the chairs, umbrella and cooler. Marta was an amazing host, helping coordinate check in and out times with our flights, without me even having to ask. The only downside we felt was that it’s not particularly walkable-you have to get in the car for most things. This, of course, is not the hosts fault and overall we really enjoyed our stay, just an FYI if you don’t know the area well.

This was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone! You can look right out onto the water and listen to the waves crash while relaxing on the lanai. It was close enough to restaurants and downtown Kona, but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Oceanfront Home, Kealakekua Bay - Hale Hoʻolana

NicoleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

Blue Hawaiian Beach House

MiguelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The property was very well maintained, and the location was more than we anticipated to the local beach and downtown. The only issue that was not in control of our hosts, was the noise of very loud vehicles going up and down the street on the weekend late at night. This made us close the windows as it unfortunately drowned out the ocean sound. If we were to venture out to Hawaii, this location will be at the top of the list.

Beautiful Home With Private Pool on Kealakekua Bay

ColleenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Mary’s place. The home is nestled in a lush, serene setting and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Mary and her property manager were responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We loved relaxing by the pool and taking evening walks to catch the sunset over the ocean at the nearby park. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and we loved the open-air layout—it felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the sight and sounds of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom is something we’ll miss. Thank you, Mary, for graciously sharing your beautiful space with us! The memories our family made at this home are something we'll always hold dearly.

Bright & Airy Beach House w/ Oceanfront Views

SugarRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved this sweet little cottage for the location, size, and accommodation. We had most things at our fingertips and made for a wonderful stay to enjoy our mornings and evenings between excursions. You can easily cook meals at home or walk to nearby establishments. The interior was slightly aged and could use a deep clean but overall fantastic place. Heidi was extremely responsive and was very accommodating. The house came with fun things you could borrow; snorkeling, fishing poles, beach chairs, beach mats & umbrellas, life jackets, handy cooler and picnic tables + chairs. Highly recommended!! We’ll be back :)

Oceanfront Luxury: 3BR/3BA with Stunning Views

RogerRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This was a great place to stay on the big island. The property was fantastic. I would go again. The beach shown on line is not on the property or near the property but there is a small area on magic sand beach to wade into about 1000’ away that is a public beach. You need to drive 15 miles north to find a nice beach.

Ocean Front Kona Reef A35! It doesn't get better!

MarieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wendy’s place was amazing for us. We loved watching the surfers in the morning while we drank our coffee. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great! One day we took an uber to the beach and used the chairs and umbrella. They were great! My husband is a larger man and fit nicely in their beach chairs. Another thing to note is there location. It’s walkable to town but down the road so you get that peace and quiet. We had an amazing time and would recommend staying here!

Oceanfront living - Floor to Ceiling wall of glass

KendraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home on the ocean! We enjoyed watching the surfers and sunset daily from the lanai or floor to ceiling windows, the sound of the ocean waves so rhythmic and calming. The condo is quiet, the pool and hot tub are great after a day of exploring. The kitchen was decently stocked to prepare daily meals and the condo was clean and well taken care of. The location was excellent, close to town/restaurants in one direction and beaches for snorkeling and picnicking in the other direction. Jennifer had snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and picnic coolers available for our use. We also had a designated, covered parking spot with secure, but easy access to condo. A wonderful stay! I hope our family can return again one day!

We had a beautiful stay at Jan’s place. We saw dolphins from the balcony and fell asleep listening to the waves. It’s so close to the ocean you can hear and smell and feel it all the time. We didn’t plan many activities ahead of time and we used the guidebook and beach gear every day of our trip. We let our hearts decide what we wanted to do and it worked out so well! The kitchen is well stocked with necessities if you want to cook meals, and there is a coffee maker with k-cups. The beds are super comfortable and there are plenty of towels. The location is walking distance to all the cute shops and restaurants you could want, and you can look for tide pools in the lava rock right next to the condo. We had a great experience and hope to return someday!

True Oceanfront, Top-Floor, Downtown, A/C, Parking

SamanthaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Great location! We enjoyed the location right on the ocean, falling asleep to the sound of the waves right below our window was a dream. Great tide pools right on the edge of property! We watched three eels snake around in the lava rocks right from the pool deck. We found this location very easy to travel both south and north down the coast and across the belt. It was a one hour drive to the sunrise on Mauna Kea, 1.5 hours to Waipio Valley, 45 mins to Hapuna Beach, 40 mins to Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, 1.5 hours to the southernmost point of the US. Once we returned to the Airbnb there are plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Tasty Kona was a great shop nearby with local products. Huggos is right down the road. Besides the great location we really appreciated the closet full of beach stuff: chairs, umbrella, floaties, snorkels - used it all! And two very important things met our standards: a VERY comfortable bed and a great shower with great pressure!

Oceanfront Condo in Kailua-Kona with AC

AmieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Chad’s home was a wonderful. First of all he was great with communication. We were desperate because our original Airbnb reservation, the host never gave us the code to enter the home and never responded until a half hour before the original check in. Luckily with the Airbnb customer service help, we found Chad’s home. It was so relaxing waking up every morning to the water watching the surfers as we had our coffee. In the afternoon we took the best naps listening to the waves crash. The bed was so comfy, well stocked kitchen and lots of beach things like chairs, towels and coolers. We can’t thank Chad enough for the perfect Hawaiian stay!
