Welcome to my home! After a brief conversation and a small welcome snack, we will cook together a typical Genoese menu (an appetizer, a first dish of pasta, a second and a dessert) and I will tell you a little history and curiosity about the Ligurian cuisine and its traditions We will also eat what I cooked with my family (it includes unlimited water and a bottle of wine every two guests!) I am very happy to share what I have learned from my mother, mother-in-law and the cooking classes I attended: I am not a professional chef!!!

We will leave from the pier in Monterosso at about 10 a.m. You’ll get to admire the colorful five seaside villages from the sea, while we will tell you all about the history, the geographical and cultural curiosities that characterize this region. Meanwhile you’ll enjoy a delicious aperitif with focaccia, pesto and other typical local products, sipping prosecco and listening to music or simply to the sweet sea lapping. We will discover beautiful coves and dive to snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the National Park. After a short glide we will stop in Porto Venere for you to discover this amazing village described by Lord Byron, Shelley, George Sand and other great poets. We will also visit the suggestive Church of San Pietro, an ancient temple with a stunning view on the coastline. In the low season, not too chaotic and sultry, we'll also stop for a visit to the quaint village of Vernazza, or we will finish the tour enjoying the local crystal clear sea once more. We'll meet you in the harbor in Riomaggiore and depart on our magical sunset tour. We'll slowly make our way up the Cinque Terre coast, stopping in front of each village to give you a little bit of history and insider information, as well as the opportunity to take photos of the villages from the sea - hands down the best way to capture each village's beauty. Once we reach Monterosso we'll turn around, and with the sun setting behind us, we'll slowly head back to Riomaggiore. You'll sip bubbles while cruising. Yuri is a local wine expert and has his own vineyards, so he's able to provide you with information about how grapes are grown on our cliffs, and what makes the Cinque Terre wine which you'll be drinking so unique. You'll also be munching on homemade focaccia from the local baker, made fresh daily, and a must-try food while in the Cinque Terre. You can jump in the sea during the tour as well for a sunset dip. Take a deep breath - this is paradise. Let us make your night, and maybe even your holiday here in the Cinque Terre, a lifelong memory, and show you 'La dolce vita. The tour lasts around 2.5 hours depending on whether guests swim or not.

Let's have fun cooking together! Come and learn how to prepare some typical dishes of the Genoese tradition. I will accompany you by telling you the story of the dishes we will cook. After immersing ourselves in the preparation of the dishes, we will have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea, sipping Italian red wine. At the end of the experience, you will receive your recipe booklet and if you wish, some of the food we have prepared. During the class you will learn how to prepare authentic Ligurian food. We will prepare the doughs, the filling and I’ll share some tips with you. At the end we will eat together what we prepared: Focaccia,, Torta Cappuccina (a vegetable pie), Pansoti (Ligurian ravioli filled with a cheese similar to ricotta and borage) and of course Salsa di Noci (walnut sauce). If you want we can even decide to prepare alternative dishes in advance (at least one week before the lesson). For intolerances and allergies, we inform you that the following products/ingredients will be used: Milk and milk-based products Nuts Egg Flour Garlic Sweet beets Borage Extra virgin olive oil Bread

The tour start from the little dock of Manarola, at the same dock from where the ferries to Cinque Terre depart aboard an 8-meter open boat. It runs along the 5 villages from Manarola towards Monterosso. Arriving at Guvano beach, behind Corniglia, we stop for the first swim break; with snorkeling equipment you can admire the clear waters and the local fish. It starts again with a panoramic view of the coast and all the various types of sedimentary rocks, explanations on the paths and the type of wine produced, another swim stop after the view of the seaside village of Vernazza to then reach the last of the 5 lands, Monterosso. After the view of the village and the beaches, the route is reversed to return to Riomaggiore, another swim stop one mile from the coast, drinking good prosecco, waiting for the sunset to then return to Manarola

In this cooking lesson you will learn how to cook one of the most typical dishes of the Ligurian tradition starting from scratch: of course I'm talking about pasta with pesto! We will knead different kind of fresh pasta: corzetti, trenette, gnocchi, testaroli or trofie, using traditional tools and we will learn the techniques to shape it. After that we will prepare the famous pesto with the authentic ingredients, obviously with the use of mortar and pestle! We will welcome you with a welcome aperitif / snack in our wonderful location, a flower garden a stone's throw from the Genoa Piazza Principe station and once our dish has been prepared we will have lunch together.

Programma: Vi attenderemo al punto di imbarco, 5 minuti prima dell'orario di partenza. Con un tour di 2 ore durante la Golden Hour, partendo da La Spezia, vi guideremo attraverso i segreti del Golfo e delle 3 Isole: • Torre Scola, un antico forte militare costruito nel sedicesimo secolo e danneggiato durante le guerre Napoleoniche • Portovenere, la vera perla del Golfo che non ha eguali per bellezza e magia • La Chiesa romana di San Pietro, arroccata sul promontorio di Portovenere è considerata una tra le più belle al mondo • La Grotta Azzurra in Palmaria, che al tramonto si colora d'oro • Lo storico faro del Tino, uno dei pochi rimasti in Europa ancora in funzione • La Madonna Stella Maris, che emerge dalle acque e protegge i naviganti e il Golfo • L'antica funicolare usata sino alla Seconda Guerra Mondiale per caricare sulle navi il prezioso marmo “Portoro” delle cave locali • Le molte installazioni militari ed i bunker della Prima e Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Partiamo dal porto di La Spezia. Vedremo le tre isole (Palmaria, Tino e Tinetto) che sono luoghi ancora incontaminati. Passeremo accanto alla cava di Marmo, vedremo le grotte naturali. Gireremo attorno a Torre Scola, fortezza militare in mezzo al mare. Ci fermeremo per nuotare in una delle numerose calette poco affollate, con acque turchesi. Arriveremo a Portovenere, la perla del nostro Golfo. Qui potrete scendere e visitare la città senza fretta. Al termine, rientreremo verso La Spezia. Durante il tour una nostra guida vi narrerà le storie di questi splendidi luoghi.

With the two captains Steeven and Christian, we will leave from the Riomaggiore Marina to the following village of Manarola and let our other friends board and then continue (stopping in each village from the sea,  to take many beautiful photos,  all this always close to the coast), we will continue  towards Corniglia, the only village that is 100 meters from sea level, we will visit caves accessible only by the sea ,we will stop for one or two stops to swim and snorkel together with the fish , on board we will offer you white wine, prosecco ,coca-cola beer or water and snacks such as the Ligurian focaccia. We will arrive in Vernazza one of the villages most loved by tourists, and finally we will arrive in Monterosso, the largest village, and we will admire its beaches. We will leave the coast to admire the sun setting and we will  return calmly. At the end of the tour you will be able to descend to Manarola or Riomaggiore.

Superb hand-made traditional cuisine, whose simple yet precious secrets will be shared in a friendly, homely environment facing the Gulf of Poets. You will have what I had when I was a child at my home: a full immersion experience in the authentic Italian cuisine. Specifically, we will travel together back and forth from Liguria and Campania discovering traditional recepies, made of selected, genuine and local ingredients (and there will be much more than Pesto and tiramisù!). Handmade pasta, cakes, savory pie all easy recipes that you may do again at your home. I like to cook seasonal foods and I love to take fresh vegetables from the local marcket.. We’ll learn how to transform those ingredients in delicious dishes. The cooking lesson will be paired with complementary Italian wine and home-made spirits, which will make your experience unforgettable(!).
