Jilly was so gracious and friendly. The pictures do not do this place justice. There are so many great features like a special faucet for the dog dish. Peaceful, quiet. Great water for the shower. It felt soft if that makes sense at all. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay. it's super cute, private, and quiet. we will definitely book again. there are 13 other cabins to chose from. We also enjoyed the town and near by venues. Cool place❣️

Really enjoyed our stay at this tiny house. Comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen appliances, felt secluded and peaceful. The stairs up to the loft are very steep, so that option is a no-go if you have any mobility issues (but there's a sofa bed option). We were very happy to stay here!

Cozy cabin great for our overnight getaway. Everything was spotless and clean. The host lives next door and is very friendly and accommodating.

This place took our breath away. It was beautiful, peaceful, so comfortable. The hospitality shows in every little detail. The front porch just calls somebody to sit and find calm moments on it. And this all happened with 6 children with me.

The cottage was lovely with much care to all guest needs. The location was very lovely in the forest. We hope to make it to the winery in the future but didn’t have time this trip.

Elaine's house is so great! My friends and I stayed two night for a girl's weekend. The house is comfy and spacious and in a peaceful neighborhood. Beds are cozy, the record player was fun to have. We played a few records as we had coffee in the morning. The coffee was plentiful in the kitchen. Elaine provided so many recommendations and great info about the area. Starved Rock is close by, and we went on a beautiful hike and had lunch there, and also enjoyed the town of Utica. We hit up a few really fun bars in Lasalle too, that were only about a mile from the house. Friday night karaoke at Club 55 AND The Sanctuary. Recommend checking both of them out.

Cozy home in a walkable area! I found it comfortable and an easy drive to local parks, like Starved Rock. My RAV4 pulled into the steep drive without issue and local trains weren't disturbing. Would return!

The house looked just like the pictures. It was very cute! The bed was very comfy and the fan upstairs was nice to have.

The pictures are great, but it’s even better in person! Everything was perfectly clean, well kept, and many small details that make you feel appreciated as a guest. It truly doesn’t get better for a couples getaway. We hope to come back sometime! I cannot say enough good things about this place and the hosts! 10/10

The loft bedroom was a little tight for an old couple but we enjoyed our stay and the tiny house was as described. Thank you Joni!

What an artistically charming house. Very comfortable. Made me feel like a college kid again. My husband appreciated the selection of Keurig coffees. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the backyard esp the ground squirrel they never could catch. For a house near a college and in a busy neighborhood it was quiet and felt private. Only 1 complaint....we didn't hear any trains or train bells. We love the noise of trains. Thanks for hosting us.

A nice small home in a small town. The house has been loved and kept up with updating in all the important areas. The location is rural Illinois, but only 20-30 minutes to the Quad Cities on quiet country 2-lane roads. Perfect for our trip visiting relatives on the Illinois side.

I had a great 3-day stay at this place! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was very supportive I requested an early check-in and they kindly allowed it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this place to others

We found this listing when we were searching for a private cabin to stay for the weekend. We had a great time! The cabin and pond were very nice. The host was very responsive! My husband really loved the rustic feel with the exposed pipes in the bathroom and the unique light fixtures throughout the cabin. It wasn’t a big deal to us but as a forewarning to future guests there wasn’t any firewood at the cabin. We didn’t bother messaging the host so I’m not sure this is something they will provide. We went to the gas station and bought a bundle.

Wonderful little cottage to sneak away for a quick getaway. loved the IF book. we enjoyed using it as we relaxed by the water and drank mimosas! worth the cost. and it's great that kayaks are offered. ps she's an author- How cool!

We had a nice, quiet stay! We even had a few hummingbirds visit us while we enjoyed the hot tub!

The Cabin was super cute and just as described. Every time I reached out with a question or request, Amanda responded promptly and helpfully. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful, private but still close to many wineries and trails for hiking. Lots of wildlife around and beautiful views. Jacob was responsive to questions and would stay again!

This is our second time staying here and it is a great location. We will be returning in a couple weeks and look forward to staying there again.

We are so lucky to have found the Snug Owl. Located in a quiet neighborhood,it was what we needed to just unwind and relax. It’s perfect for two people, very cozy clean and comfortable. Close to Starved Rock for some hiking and nice local restaurants. We can’t wait to come back. We loved our stay and Sonya was terrific. The house has everything you think you need and more. We just can’t say enough about The Snug Owl and Sonya.

This place was perfect for our stay! It’s at the end of a row of camping spots, but still feels fairly private due to the dedicated bathroom (porta potty) and the fact that it’s at the edge of the campground. The tiny cabin had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable! I adored the outdoor shower. We also appreciated Danika’s proactive communication.
