Seriously amazing rental house! We are a family of 6 and there was tons of room and things to do for everyone. Andy & Marie were amazing hosts and were extremely responsive. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here, the attention to detail was so great and fun!

My two sisters and I enjoyed our stay. It was so comfortable and homey and had everything we needed. I especially loved the very hot water in the shower and the heater in the ceiling above the shower.

This is the third or so year we've stayed here. The location is convenient, the space is very comfortable, and they have everything we need to prepare a decent meal (or eat takeout pizza).

We had a beautiful weekend here! The porch, pool and kayaks made the weekend amazing. The house is large and has lots of space! The owners were very responsive and made the weekend perfect!

I needed a quiet place to stay to meditate, pray, study, etc. I also needed a place to meet up with a friend I hadn’t seen in 12 years. The friend was only there a short while with permission, of course, and the rest of the time I kept to my schedule and my main purpose for being there. The cottage was perfect for all the reasons I needed it to be perfect. Amber was very accommodating with my questions and requests. The cottage was like visiting someone’s grandmother without the grandmother being there. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing stay at the Tailor House. The place was spotless and stylish. The perfect getaway. Colin was super communicative. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This place was amazing. Not only was it huge & spacious, there was so much history involved with it that was truly amazing. We stayed with our 2 Yorkies and there was ample room for them to go outside to use the restroom. If we're ever passing through the area again, we'd definitely return to stay! We had a great stay overall. From start to finish, Kailash was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. We needed a long-term stay with 2 big dogs, and this house worked great for us. We didn't get to use the pool much because the weather didn't cooperate, but the pool and patio area are gorgeous. The location is great, close to everything - grocery stores, restaurants, etc. There is a trail behind the house (accessible through a gate in the back yard), and it leads to a beautiful and huge forest preserve - beautiful for walks/hikes in the woods! The kitchen was a great space for us, and it had everything we might need for cooking, etc. The house was very comfortable for our family, and we would come again. Thank you, Kailash!

Our family absolutely loved staying here! Everything was as described and the photos were accurate but what you can't capture in a photo necessarily is the "Calm and Peacefullness" the accommodations provided with the beautiful scenery. The layout of the rooms were perfect for 4 adults and 1 child. Separate areas for all of us to chill amd yet still be together. Would love to return here every year!

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

We enjoyed our stay at Amy’s Pool House! It was perfect for our trip visiting family during thanksgiving. Close to everything we needed and easy to find and access. The house was well stocked, esp plenty of towels! It was perfect for our dog too. He loved their yard and it was perfectly quiet for him. There is plenty of space and its comfy. We really enjoyed using the tv, and the hot tub! You could see the stars at night. :) We found the pool house a bit chilly at times and the bed was not our preference but overall we really enjoyed our stay! Amy was also very responsive and kind! We would come back here to stay again! :)

We stayed on the third floor of the complex and enjoyed Matthew's attention to detail. He gave a lot of thought to all components of his property.

We had a wonderful stay! Doreen was always in communication making sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 5 was looking to getaway for a few days and this was a great place for it! The home was clean and cozy with lots of thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. We got to enjoy the amenities at the club house, and were just close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. My kids want to come back already!

We had a really wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. My two and four year old loved the toys and the movie screen (our daughter cried when we left). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. We’ve been to Galena now many times and this was our favorite place we’ve stayed at yet!

Nice big indoor pool (12 feet deep at one end and 3 feet at the other). The newly renovated rooms are very open and spacious. All the bedrooms are well kept. Lots of games to play(soccer table, poker, table tennis, etc.). Lots of pullout sofas and chairs. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Jack!!

A peaceful getaway with squeaky clean cottage that has everything you need! A++!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful little cabin! Everything was immaculate, charming, and comfortable! The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. The area around the home was so pretty and peaceful. And, the candlelight to come home to in the evening was a special touch! Highly recommend this home! Brittany was a very gracious host!!

It was my first time visiting the area however I felt right at home at this airbnb. My husband and I decided to take a trip for our birthdays and after a day of hiking it was nice to be able to fully relax and watch the horses graze. Definitely will be back.

LOVED our stay! next time I go to Starved Rock, I will stay here. looks like the photos, the view is really that peaceful, and it's very close (like 8/10 minute drive) to multiple trailheads and downtown Ottowa. I did not realize it would be such a cute little town with bookstores, diners, good restaurants. it was so much fun having all sorts of games to play, esp arcade games. really nice stay for us as two adults with a toddler (he esp loved the pinball machine), and definitely a cute, romantic stay for a couple or a fun stay for a small group of friends. highly recommend. felt very private, too.

Peaceful and quiet stay for the night. Great hosts and highly recommend.

This was the perfect peaceful getaway. The site was beautiful and felt like home right away. The sleeping tent was clean, sturdy, and comfortable. The bathroom setup was better than expected—hot water, clean toilet, and great shower. We spent most of our time relaxing by the fire pit, listening to birds and rustling trees, and taking in the view. Everything was just as described, if not better. Would gladly return!

Nice location just across from the main house, but there is a small patch of woods between them. Clean home with all the necessities, a great host, and a big bonus is they have wood provided for the fire pit.
