House vacation rentals in Grandfather Mountain

Great location in a walkable neighborhood of Black Mountain, NC. House is warm and inviting. We enjoyed our time there. Rooms are small and it is hard to imagine 12 people staying in this place. We are a family of 8 and it seemed a bit cramped at times. If you plan to eat meals together at the house it would be difficult to have seating for all; there is no real kitchen table. Kitchen is cozy, but they do have two, one upstairs and one downstairs in a cleverly concealed staircase. There is no dishwasher, so be prepared to wash and dry dishes if you eat at the house. Kids really enjoyed to pool and hot tub. Also the inside of the house is warm and inviting, personal decorations and books and toys will make a family feel right at home or potentially nervous that something will be left out of place or broken. Overall, we felt the place suited our needs and we were thankful for our time there. Hosts clearly love their home and have done a nice job making it a place that is inviting.

Enjoyed our stay at this house just outside of Black Mountain for the weekend. In a quiet spot with amazing views from porch that is only a short drive from the town and other spots. The house itself was in pristine condition when we arrived and looked exactly like the photos. Would highly recommend for a mountain getaway!

The view of the lake from the living room is one of the best in LandHarbor. The house is very well equipped - everything you need to enjoy, cook, a covered patio, and comfortable beds. I will be back again!

This was our 2nd stay. The pool is really nice and is lots of fun. The view from the pool deck and porch deck is stunning looking at the mountains. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The upstairs bedroom had a super comfy bed and was extra roomy. The Black Mountain area has some really neat restaurants and culture. Overall it is a great place for couples or families.

This stay showed us why we always prefer when the rental is owned by a person and not a big company, Trace was super responsive and easy to work with our entire stay. Location was fantastic and it was super easy to get to all the things in ashville we wanted to while still being in a home that was quiet and relaxing.

We stayed for App State graduation and had 5 guests who stayed very comfortably. We also hosted a few friends of my sons and had a great time cooking out and hanging in the driveway where we played corn hole.

Every detail, from the cozy interior touches to the seamless check-in, reflected care and excellence. We’ve stayed at many Airbnbs, but this one stands out as one of the best. Our stay at Anne's house was simply amazing. She is the perfect host, always responsive, helpful, accommodating whenever possible, willing to answer questions, and the home itself was absolutely perfect! Every single person in our group returned raving about the house and how perfect it was for our weekend of skiing.

Beautiful home, very comfortable for groups that seek private bedrooms. Also has very comfortable mattresses (some very firm, which I like). Close to Beech Mountain ski resort & beautiful views. Kitchen, dining & living area all open with a ton of windows. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in this property as we were in the area for our son's graduation. It was a beautiful property as described with all the amenities that we needed. It was set in beautiful surroundings and we were thrilled to see the sunrise and sunsets.

Cinda’s place was the perfect location while in town for our son’s soccer tournament. Very convenient to the soccer fields as well as the town of Boone. We loved the front porch with the rockers and swing, and spent much time out there reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The proximity to the greenway was ideal for running. We would definitely stay again the next time we are in Boone!

We had a wonderful stay at Chao's home. We were welcomed with open arms and had frequent communication with the host. The home was beautiful and well-maintained. We highly recommended this home and Chao! Next time we are in the area, we will be booking with Chao again!

We had a wonderful visit to Hickory and Carlos’s Villa was a great place to stay. Quiet area to relax and pretty piece of property. The interior decor was done with great care. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay in Connie’s place. Perfect for three couples to celebrate the new year. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub. Would love to come back in the summer time

We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the front yard for all day sledding! The house was spacious - perfect for our four families! Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river in the summer!!

Peaceful Mountain View Retreat! This pristine Asheville home was so cozy and perfect for our family! Our grandchildren loved their “bear room” and secret reading nook. We loved having our coffee with a view of the mountains and bunnies from the front porch each morning listening to the birds! Communication was quick and easy, and hospitality was top notch with a welcome bottle of wine and popcorn! Convenient location, only minutes to downtown Asheville yet so many great local establishments nearby! We will be back :)

The house was exactly like the pictures. Very welcoming and responsive host. The home was has beautiful views and a great hot tub! And fully stocked with everything you will need. I would highly recommend the home.
