Family-friendly vacation rentals in Gastonia

We have stayed at Dustins place multiple times and each time we hate to leave. It is in the middle of nowhere, no one to bother you, just sit on the screened in sun porch and listen to nature. The hot tub is one of our most favorite things about the cabin. The cabin is always clean and ready for a great stay, thank you once again for a great stay Dustin can't wait to come back.

We have not used AirBnB many times, but this one stands out as the best experience yet! What a lovely, clean, tidy, quaint, attractive, simple, elegant, and comfortable lakeside property this is. We enjoyed cooking meals, grilling, soaking in the hot tub, sunset cocktails on the dock. Planning to return in the future for another stay!

I only have good things to say about this place! I worked with Margo (the co-host) on having our engagement photoshoot and she was very friendly and nice about the whole thing! Unfortunately, my fiancé and I weren't able to sleep overnight, however, we loved the place so much that we are so so excited to come back and fully enjoy every ounce of relaxation that this place offers! The hosts were so thoughtful that they even left 4 dog bowls for our 4 dogs SHOULD we have decided to bring them :) we ended up not bringing any, but the thoughtful touch & ease of working with them about the pets and shoot was one of the nicest and easiest I've experienced yet. One small heads up about the eco shared bathroom! It didn't bother us at all, but it seems to literally be a hole deeeep down in the ground with ground limestone (I think) powder to pour into it to cover after yourself. Honestly, I prefer that over any portopotty ever lol. It was SUPER clean. No complaints! Just different:) very eco:)

The place was AMAZING! The pool was bigger than it looked in the pictures, the hot tub was perfect! The house is cozy and Marshall is a fantastic host!

It was such a beautiful place to stay! The host was wonderful and always kept us updated on changes . The home had everything we needed and perfectly matched the description. We felt right at home our entire stay!

Whether you want to relaxi or fish, this is the perfect place for you. Me, my husband, and our 3 dogs love this place and as always, we will return again

Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

My stay at Jennys place was perfect. The apartment is clean and cozy with everything you need. The location was ideal for me visiting family in town, very centrally located. I appreciated the light by the road to help me find the driveway as I came in late every evening. Super helpful! I could hear the host and family above the apartment but it was not excessive and never bothered me. As a solo traveler it was actually comforting to know I wasn’t completely alone and someone was close if I needed something. The apartment is decorated nicely and even has some local artwork. The kitchenette has everything needed for simple meals and coffee. The bed sheets were the cherry on top. The softest I’ve ever experienced, I loved them so much that I intended to look for a tag so I can buy some but forgot! All in all I had a wonderful stay and will absolutely book again next time I visit Lenoir.

Terrific stay with just about everything you could possibly need including all lake/outdoor/fire pit/bbq/picnic accessories, plenty of new looking nice beach towels, throw blankets, sunscreen, insect repellent, even a very thoughtful s’more’s kit loved by the kids! Everything is clean, neat, tidy and labeled. The bed linens appeared new and beautiful and felt very fresh. The inside space is terrific and the outdoor space is spectacular. Lowes Foods nearby so very convenient. Coffee pods for the Keurig and many kitchen accessories are available, even first aid kit and various toiletries & supplies- very convenient! Diane is an extremely thoughtful host and very proactive. Everything you might need is easily within reach including wifi, games & puzzles and a smart tv with all the apps for the kiddos - just bring your favorite beachy/loungey clothes and a book to read on the lovely pier and you’re all set!

We rented this first floor condo unit for two weeks to be near our son and his family after the birth of their baby. It was perfectly located. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. It was clean and comfortable. The pool is a quick walk away and quite nice. There are close restaurants and stores. Lake Norman is a very short drive away, and there are lovely greenways easily accessible for walks. There is some noise from people walking upstairs at times, but it’s not excessive and to be expected in a first floor unit. It made a comfortable and affordable “home away from home” during our stay.

My family and I loved our stay at Erin's place. The house was nice and had a big fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. Erin was very responsive and gave clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The area is great and just a few minutes down the street from downtown Matthews. I highly recommend Erin's home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

Very private, safe, and quiet. Could barely hear a thunderstorm which was great as our dog is scared. Rachel's communication is on point. She was very responsive and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

David was amazing from the beginning. We stayed at his place to look at Charlotte as a possibility to move next year. David gave us recommendations and told us about some houses for sale nearby. There was a bottle of wine at perfect temperature for us, he gave us recommendations to eat and even let our dogs stay at the bnb so that we could celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everything was clean and organized. The bed and couch are very comfy and the pool looked to be clean (we didn’t get in). I dont have enough good things to say about our experience. One of the best bnbs we have stayed in a while. Thank you David!
