We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s retreat. The home is spacious across both levels, making it perfect for our large family. It’s beautifully furnished-comfortable, tasteful and uncluttered. The kitchen is generously equipped. The massive deck is a real highlight. With plenty of seating, two heaters and a grill. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to connect with nature and truly unwind. Check-in and check-out were easy. The house is exactly as advertised- no surprises, just a great experience. This gorgeous and massive space is great for large gatherings. Wifi connection was excellent and even accomodated video conferences. Gorgeous view. Some items in the kitchen were dirty (dish towels, dishes, etc.) and we had heating issues that were solved - nothing worth leaving anything but 5 stars. Overall, would recommend.

We loved the weekend stay at Glenn’s house. The house was just as pictured and the surroundings even more beautiful with the river that is in the front of the property . Our family enjoyed sitting on the front deck watching the river and the beautiful birds in the woods . What a gem of location! Also the house itself was clean comfortable and totally updated, really nice . Thank you we would love to come back at some point!

We were thrilled to stay in this historic home and Elizabeth was highly attentive. Even if you don't love country music, a visit to Patsy Cline's house is well worth it because it is so close and you can learn how some Winchesterians lived in the early- to mid-20th century. We loved the easy walk to downtown and recommend Village Square and Antica Trattoria as restaurant stops. Our family made use of the outdoor basketball court and lovely deck at Elizabeth's and had great fun. Hopscotch records/coffee is walking distance from Elizabeth's as is Vibrissa beer. You'll need to get in your car to visit our favorite record store Ear Food, and you'll need to drive to the lovely Briede Family vineyard. We also recommend a lovely walk at the Third Winchester Battlefield Park. The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is a true gem, and be sure to take a walk in the gardens included in the price of a museum ticket. Elizabeth's house is a launching point for many good and interesting times!

I loved this place! Very clean, comfortable, and peaceful inside and outside!

I needed a place that my family, from out of state, could stay while attending a graduation. The house was perfect! I told Bob what I wanted to do and he was encouraging and helpful. He made sure we had propane for grilling and answered all my questions. He was very prompt when I reached out to him. We had an amazing time. I would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay in this charming cottage! The location is ideal for walking—- either around the neighborhood or downtown. We loved the charm and cozy atmosphere and spent a lot of time on the sun porch too! Can’t recommend it highly enough and look forward to staying here again

Loved staying here. Beautiful and quiet. The place itself was spotless and exactly as advertised. Great kitchen amenities and comfortable beds!

Great stay, no problems. Older basement apt that fit our needs with 4 people and 2 dogs. Sleeps 6 but only 1 bathroom. Short walk to Loudoun street where there is plenty of food and a quaint coffee shop. Michele was excellent host and communicated quickly and check in/out was super easy.

This was a great place to stay to experience Winchester, super close to restaurants and the Old Downtown. Small and quaint space, more than enough for the two of us who stayed there. Not noisy in the bedroom at all, but there is a bar across the street that is open till 1am on weekends, which was not a problem at all for my boyfriend and I who joined in on the fun. Michele was super helpful and responsive during our stay. This place was worth the price. Overall, great place!

Perfect apartment. Close to everything and Michele was the perfect hostess. I needed a place near my school where I teach while my house was undergoing renovations and Michele provided a safe, comfortable abode. Thank you Michele.

We had a great stay at Michele's place. It was very spacious and well appointed. Everything was clean and worked well. The location was perfect. It is only a block and a half from the north end of the walking mall with many great restaurants. There are many things to do in the area, and Michele's place is a great home base to go exploring.
