Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Fort Pond

I and my son feel very happy and comfortable living there, although the elevator doesn't work, it seems always under fixing. After all, the location is so convenient to everywhere, for example, SOM, Peabody Museum, and Hillhouse Ave. Almost all Yale shuttle lines stopped there. It is a happy time to eat while watching TV news in the living room. The scenery from top of the building is beautiful. We saw the sunrise and snowy town. That is amazing! The neighbors are very friendly. Guest in No. 34 helped us on carrying the luggages. He has a dog with three legs. What a nice and kind young man! In the basement, there is a gym and guests-room with sofas. G cafe closes after 5pm. My friends and I had a talk there which is nice. The Nica's is nearby as well which is very convenient. With Grocery line, we shop at Trade Joe's on weekend to save money. There is a big refrigerator to save food for one week. The door has an electronic lock which is very smart and easy to use. Good to stay!

Great location - Next door to Yale Old Campus. Caleaha was responsive. Apartment was clean and as described. It would be perfect if shampoo were provided.

We really enjoyed staying at Kyle's Air BnB! The building was easy to find, and it was easy to locate the keys and get inside the apartment. The neighborhood has a lot of great restaurants and is very much within walking distance to the main Yale campus. The apartment was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed (microwave, fridge, etc.). The bed was VERY comfortable. We appreciated the option to check in 3 hours earlier for a small fee. Would stay here again!

I enjoyed staying at this clean, private studio, conveniently located just a couple of blocks (less than 10 minutes' walk) from Yale. Alicia is a responsive and helpful host. The building is not fancy, but I felt safe and comfortable. I was very satisfied with my choice to stay here.

Peter is a super friendly host. He provided lots of local recommendations and easy-to-follow house rules. The location is pretty good with walkable distance to the beach. Would recommend for a two person trip.

Everything was super easy and great! The apartment was tidy and cheerful and had all the basics you would need for your stay—everything was just right! It was easy to get in, and all Jarrett’s instructions were super clear, about entry and about parking, neighborhood, etc. would definitely stay here again!!

Julie's place is located in the Yale campus. It's convenient to go around the corner to have a cup of morning coffee, buy groceries in the market or CVS, and go to restaurants in walking distances. I like about how the place has a gym on the first floor. As a host, Julie is very responsive through message. She helps solve a network issue very efficiently and whenever I ask her if she has anything I need she would respond in minutes and help me find those. She offered to compensate me with 15$ a week for laundry fee and was so kind and hospitable all the time! I really enjoy the stay and I would definitely stay at her place again if I will be around New Haven.

This is a great studio. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s past 4 years of coming to New Haven for daughters college years but never in such a good location This is walkable to everything Yale and downtown Soooo many good restaurants plus the museums etc Very Comfy bed lots of towels Shower water takes a minute to get hot but there’s lots of it when it dies plus there’s dispensers of shampoo conditioner and body wash. even iron and board plus umbrellas! Everything u could need has been thought of! Will definitely book again. Hosts very responsive. Some reviews mentioned the elevator …worked fine for us! FYI very clean well managed laundromat next door Thank you

If we don't give a good review, can we keep this to ourselves?! Patti was a perfect host; the views were fantastic, whether from the outdoor porch or inside through the French doors looking out on the water. Access to the small beach and pool were excellent and we were close to several good restaurants (many of which Patti suggested, including some on the water) for take-out during the pandemic. Wifi was great and everything was very clean and as advertised. We generally fly for vacations and long weekends but had to stay closer to home this year and this was a perfect choice.

Perfect for a girls weekend!

Erica and Janson's place was perfect for our group of eight to attend a wedding in the Hamptons. You cannot get closer to the North Ferry to Shelter Island and there are many restaurant and shopping options within walking distance... the pizza place next door is open late, PORT restaurant (across the street!) is great for waterfront drinks and dinner. While we didn't use it, the LIRR station from Manhattan is also 500 feet from the front door. Ample parking was appreciated and the place was spotless. Thank you Erica and Janson!

The hosts were extremely accommodating. We had a few inquiries that they quickly responded to. We even ran into an issue while at the house with the AC not working properly and they quickly had someone to come fix this. The backyard is really spacious and my dog loved running around! We had 7 people total, a bit tight for the inside living room, but the big yard/deck and beautiful weather helped alleviate this! Overall great stay and would definitely come back given what great hosts we had!

My family had a wonderful stay at AnnGina’s beautiful home in Groton. The decor was incredible as was bedding and linens. AnnGina was very responsive to our every need including allowing an early check in and late check out and even ordering an air fryer to meet our needs. The location was perfect for a wedding at Branford House or a shoreline vacation.

We had such a great stay at Juliette’s place. We were there for my moms 60th birthday. Everything was as expected and house was fully stocked with everything we needed. Stores was only about 10-15 min away and private beach was a beautiful 5-10 min walk. Definitely will be back. Oh I should also add all the beds are super comfortable and amazing to sleep in, which is very important to us. We usually ask for extra pillows but that was not a necessity.

This is a great house on Shelter Island. Our family loved the pool and the basement TV room. The host was accommodating and responsive. Highly recommend!

Ronnie's place was great! It had everything our group of 12 needed, the pool was delightful and it was just 10-15min away from town. Would highly recommend to anyone!
