Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Fayette County

The Farmhouse was exactly as described with everything imaginable that you might need. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful and it was a great place to come back to after a long day of exploring the many things to do in and around the New River Gorge National Park. We would highly recommend!

My mom & I stayed at Ethan’s place one night, on our way back home after a 10 day road trip. We weren’t there long enough to enjoy all of the amenities, but the house is so comfortable and has a very welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in. The lay out of the house is great with the 3 bedrooms separated well enough for privacy. The beds were comfy. The bathrooms were very clean and stocked well with toiletries. The back yard was beautiful & peaceful. Ethan is very responsive to messages & gave good recommendations for dinner. Although we didn’t make use of the kitchen, it is well stocked and has plenty of space for preparing a large family meal. This is definitely a place we would love to return to.

Steven was responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. I loved reading through the guest books for recommendations. The hosts also had an online guidebook and a basket of maps, magazines etc. that were lovely to look at. We enjoyed the hot tub after doing The Bridge Walk at New River Gorge. You must ride the newly opened rail bikes in Clay. It was worth the drive. The snacks were a nice added touch. The neighborhood was quiet and the mountains surrounding it are beautiful. I highly recommend downloading the waterfall passport. Cathedral Falls is super close. Thank you Steven for opening your home to us.

Immaculate home, totally fits the description. My family felt very comfortable and safe. Excellent amenities. Very helpful, responsive and polite host.absolutely no complaints from our family party of 7. Everyone was pleased!

Great little house for a weekend near the national park! Location was fantastic, 10 min drive to the National Park visitor center and bridge views, around 45 min to the other side of the park. Walkable to several restaurants, which was a definite plus. The house is at the end of a dead end street which was nice and the neighborhood was very quiet! The hot tub was an added bonus and we greatly enjoyed out stay here with 6 adults.

Troy’s place is well stocked, cozy, and in a great location near new river gorge national park. The place is near downtown and lots of great restaurants and breweries. There is even a great outdoor community area up the hill with a dog park and fitness loop that was perfect for our pup. We truly enjoyed our stay. Great communication and super accommodating. Would stay again! Thanks for the hospitality

Great place to stay for climbing at the New River Gorge, very close to Kaymoor. The house has all the basic amenities and all the small details are taking care of as well, e.g. there were plenty of towels, q-tips, and make-up wipes in the bathroom, a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of pods in the kitchen, extra blankets and pillows in the bedrooms if needed. The check-in was very easy and the host was very responsive!

House was beautiful, clean easy to get to and just enjoyable. Thank you Iran for letting us use your house. Would stay there again.

Wow! Diana's loft is THE perfect base to spend a week exploring the New River Gorge National Park. Diana and her brother Jimmy went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and welcoming. The decor was lovely. All the amenities were fantastic. And we were extremely grateful for the basket of goodies (and drinks in the fridge). We loved it all! ❤️

Rented this spot to go to a wedding at the gorge which was literally down the road you can walk there so close which was amazing. It was just me and the wife but it was so spacious the groom and best men all were at my place to get ready it did not feel cramped at all it was exactly what I needed and more.

OMG!!! Rosy’s place is absolutely AMAZING! It’s beautiful, cozy, clean and close to everything. Our main reason for visiting the area was New River Gorge NP. It was very convenient and super close to several of the park entrances. Rosy was a wonderful host and always available to share suggestions for us. She has gone above and beyond and thought of everything to make her guests’ stay enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here. If we are back in the area again, we will definitely stay with Rosy!

Ziek’s Place was peaceful and beautiful. It worked well for the four of us and our visit to the New River Gorge National Park. It had everything we needed for a great time. Jeff and Angela were very responsive and had good suggestions on restaurants and sights to see. The fall colors were beautiful in late October and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

It’s a perfect place for a vacation of hiking and rafting. We used it as a respite on the halfway point heading home from a southern vacation. It was comfortable, super clean and a supremely well equipped kitchen. There’s a nice neighborhood bar and grill a stones throw away.

We really enjoyed this little getaway. Lordy communicated exactly what we needed to bring and that was so helpful for making our stay go smoothly. We will be back.

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

This location is perfect. It's a private home away from home and has its on little magical charm. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans to cook with and it was equipped with a water filter and and brita pitcher in the fridge. There is plenty of down wood to use for the fire pit and grill was ready to use with all need utensils available inside. Definitely will come back here again. there great little places to eat close by but we really enjoyed Pies and Pints in Fayetteville and the trip to Googly Moogly.

Great secluded location. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved being in the mountains. Our pup loved the walks on the quiet road. Beautiful screened in porch, and fire pit area. Plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. Comfy bed! Lots of board games and books. Kitchen staples were provided. Very clean! We explored New River Gorge National Park, and some of the state parks. There are endless opportunities in the area for hiking, and rafting. There are countless waterfalls. The area is beautiful and all trails are pet friendly.

We stayed in Cabin 3 for Bridge Day weekend. The cabin was neat and clean, freshly painted outside and very clean floors and bathroom. The fire pit area behind our cabin was very peaceful with beautiful mature woods surrounding. This place is very pet friendly and has many acres of woods with trails you can walk you fur baby, which we did many times! The general store at the entrance has a nice selection of household goods, food, and firewood. It was cool at night, about 40 degrees, and the cabin space heater worked and kept us toasty warm. Each cabin has its own water heater for plenty of hot showering after a long hike. The only suggestion I have is if you need extra back support, maybe bring your own mattress topper or a thick sleeping bag to add to the double bed for cushion. We really enjoyed this location as it was only a 2-3 minute drive into the charming town of Fayetteville. Best eats and cocktails we found at Secret Sandwich Society!
