Family-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown, Boston

We really enjoyed our stay here! Karen was very quick to respond to any of our questions. The house is spacious and clean. We especially enjoyed the kitchen and dining room. I’d recommend this place to anyone staying in the area!

We just a wonderful few days in Boston for the marathon. Maude was the perfect host… we really appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out and were so grateful for the provisions left for us, particularly as we arrived late! The location is perfect, it meant that we could explore everywhere in the City on foot. The neighbourhood is particularly great for restaurants and when the sun came out and the temperature rose, the vibe was fabulous. As a previous review mentioned, if you’re looking for a pristine, freshly painted apartment then it’s not for you, but if you like ‘quirky’ and a house with bags of character, (I especially loved the art), then I’d highly recommend.

Michelle was very responsive and great at communicating leading up to our stay. The house was easy to find, good neighborhood, perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Parking was included which was awesome. The T was easy to walk to so we could go downtown every day easily. The host recommendation for Lulu’s Allston was spot on, it was nearby and great. We felt right at home and had a wonderful stay and check out was also easy. Thank you Michelle for hosting a wonderful place!

We enjoyed our stay at Wally's. We were in town for the World Skating Competition. Downtown was a quick Lyft or Uber away. The location was nice and quiet and the home was comfortable.

Great place to stay! Paul and Michelle were great host. The place was very clean and nice. They were very responsible to any issue. The place is what we expected as in the photos. If we ever in the area again and the place is available would stay, great great place would recommend!

The host was super easy to communicate with and we particularly appreciated the flexibility with checkin and out times. The space is great for a group of people that all want their own space but then also has great space to hangout too!

We spent 3 nights at Elizabeth’s place. We were 5 adults and had enough space for us all! The house is well located, easy to go to the center of Boston to visit. Beds are confortable and neighborhood really calm. Highly recommended!

Excellent location! Great stay for a family away from home! House was magnificent and modern. Beautiful upstairs with an open layout and a downstairs living room. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Close to the Newton center to access the (T)rain so Boston is easily accessible. Great communication with Amir! He responded quickly with any questions I had! Would definitely come back for another family vacation!

The host communicated well and was very thoughtful. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the heating unit was a bit tricky to figure out, but overall, we had a great stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at this Winthrop Airbnb. It is beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, beautiful large bathroom with tub and shower. Loved the nearby restaurants, especially Jac’s cafe! Frank reached out to recommend the ferry to downtown Boston and that was fun and convenient. Highly recommended!

Lovely cottage surrounded by countryside: there were ducks, wild turkeys, chipmunks and blue jays in the garden. 5 mins drive from the lovely town of Dedham and 30 mins into central Boston. Cottage is small but beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Mark was super helpful.

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect place for families with children. So close to the beach with all the beach and home necessities you need while on vacation! Quaint town that was quiet but still has plenty of restaurants to visit. Overall, a great place!

This home was just as pictured. We loved our stay and would definitely book again the next time we are in the area.

A very charming upstairs studio. The apartment was cozy, and filled with small, attentive touches, some were decorative, others were practical like the cotton balls and swabs in the bathroom. It's obvious that Mehmet cares a great deal about his guests, and made sure we knew how to access the studio, what to find in the neighborhood in the way of restaurants and shopping, and public transportation. Most of all, I felt like I was truly a guest, not just a customer. While there were only two if us, a third person-perhaps a child, sibling, parent or friend would find the extra room very comfortable. We would definitely like to go back again if we're in the Boston area.

The location was perfect for our needs. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great with lots of hot water. It has a very comfortable and relaxing feel. There is an excellent Thai restaurant a few blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and many local conveniences are in easy walking distance too.

Wendy’s house is just a terrific AirBnb…beautiful decor, excellent communications, tremendous neighborhood. Sadly, we had to leave a day earlier than planned, as I would have loved to have one more night there. Also, extra points for her so kind efforts to provide breakfast goods for us! All in all, I highly recommend this great house!

The apartment was as listed, and very clean, with all the amenities we needed to stay there. It was centrally located to all the areas we went to. The directions to get in were very clear. Dev was very responsive when I contacted him and it was overall a great stay.

Fantastic getaway in Salem! Easy to reach shops, museums, and restaurants. Extremely clean and comfortable space. We would love to stay here again.

Julia's place is the perfect home away from home location. I've stayed here several times for business and quick get away. It's a spacious location with a cozy living room setting. Plus the bed is so comfortable and there's a little extra space off the bedroom. Easy access to stores, restaurants, a movie theater and so much more. It's my #1 place to check when I'm traveling for work or need a weekend away Massachusetts. Julia is a great hostess and very responsive, I highly recommend her place!!!

Natasha’s place was in a great location close to restaurants, the waterfront, & shops. We really enjoyed walking along the waterfront and having drinks & dining on the deck at The Landing Restaurant. The house was very clean and we appreciated the nice artistic details.
