What a find! We were attending a wedding on the Potomac and found this gem of a place basically right next door. A perfectly appointed home in a peaceful, tranquil, beautiful setting. Connie was great! Responsive to our need to find the iron, not exactly an emergency, Connie responded immediately with it's location. Loved it!

A spacious home by the water. We celebrated Thanksgiving at this location and it was very special. The views are beautiful, had a fire right by the water and relaxed by the beach. A perfect getaway with family and friends. It has everything you need, the living room is super comfortable and great to relax with the family. The kitchen was spacious making it easy to cook and entertain the family. We loved the hot tub, playing pool and having family dinner. Overall a fabulous experience!! Great host- great communication. Highly recommend

It was absolutely wonderful staying at Joanne's home. It was very comfortable and loved the outdoor firepit. Very peaceful and lovely home. We would love to come back again for another visit.

Andrea was extremely proactive and responsive to our questions, even reaching out ahead of time to make sure we were aware of work being done and arranged for late check-out, a huge help for our group. The local recommendations were really appreciated, and it's such a beautiful location along the water.

Great location to relax and enjoy the waterfront. The house was clean and well maintained, and the views were beautiful.

A great stay on the river. The kitchen was well equipped and the rest of the house was comfortable. The screened in porch and access to the dock/beach/river was our favorite part. Our dogs were in HEAVEN. The location is rather remote, so recommend bringing any food you'll want as there are no close stores or restaurants.

Nate was a fantastic host and was extremely responsive. Our group of 8 had a great time in Cape Charles at his place! Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed here for a week for our family vacation. We are a group of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) and there was plenty of room for all of us. We barely left the house because with the beautiful view, dock, beach area, canoe, kayaks, hot tub, game room/ library, corn hole, and fire pit we all had plenty to keep us entertained. Everyone loved Mary & Shelly’s place, and it provided the perfect space for us to enjoy the river and each other’s company!

Our stay was amazing! Anne was very responsive to any questions we had. The house is very well stocked with most items you may need or forgot. The views are incredible sitting on the dock! I would highly recommend booking a stay with Anne!

Second time staying with Maurie and had a great stay, house is well kept and maintained. Great location walkable to both downtown and Tides Inn.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in early May for a Girl’s trip! House was very clean and cozy. The back yard was nicely done with the sitting area, corn hole and fire pit! We enjoyed the front porch as well! Love the close proximity to restaurants and shops!

While somewhat spare in furniture and niceties, the place was clean and well-situated for all that you’d want from the lovely Cape Charles area. The property is wonderful, wooded and quiet. And having a full laundry set-up was very nice.

I can't express enough how wonderful this home is. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by an extra day! The location was absolutely perfect and met all our family's needs. The private dock quickly became a family favorite, along with the hot tub. It's a quiet, peaceful retreat and the ideal place to recharge with your loved ones. We will definitely be back!

Great location close to everything in Cape Charles! House has lots of character and charm (older home, but with a newer kitchen). Great place to stay with kids - came stocked with lots of kids books and our kids loved the bunk beds.

Our 6th (or 7th) stay at this lovely house. Everything is so beautiful and relaxing it feels just like a home away from home. Our Golden, Tiki, absolutely loves laying in the back yard and hanging out in the front porch. We hope to return again every year!

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

The home was absolutely beautiful and I would definitely stay here again! Grace was super quick to respond to any questions and the sauna was amazing!! I highly recommend booking here!

very cute house with everything you need...even had some toys my kids played with. we loved the big porch ! we even got to check in a little early which was very helpful.

This home is absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Chesapeake bay. Even though it was cold the kids enjoyed splashing in the water with their rain boots. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at colonial Williamsburg. Afterwards we ate at Captain George’s, a place Tas recommended. It was absolutely worth it. I was also pleased with being able to make a good Thanksgiving meal. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. We would love to come back in the near future.

Incredibly responsive host and beautiful brand new appearing house. As advertised (including several questions I had asked before arrival for planning purposes). Unusually large house that literally swallowed up our 16 adult, 2 infant family for sleeping, eating and playing games. Lots of parking for 6 or 7 cars and lots of flat panel televisions (we only used the one in the shared space downstairs - streaming and airplay). Adequate garbage & included toilet paper, tissues, paper towels and some coffee fixings. Downsides are that the house is on a very busy main artery (route 60). Some of the traffic noise penetrates the house on the road side (although fortunately some of my family are used to living and sleeping in cities with plenty of noise). Pulling in & out of the driveway (and walking) requires care on the busy street. Driveway is not well marked (hand painted house number sign at ground level). Late (5pm) checkin & early (10 am) checkout. Perhaps a little pricey for area.

We visited Southern Maryland for a family wedding. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Beds are comfy, house comfy, and they thought of the little things like : a full sized ironing board & Iron, beach towels, good soaps, and all you need for s’mores!Their welcome handbook was very detailed. Our only regret was that we could not spend more time on the property itself (because of family events). Would have loved to use the kayaks and the fire pit. My brother did use hot tub. Great stay! Highly recommend

This house was so lovely! The backyard was an oasis and had tons of games to keep the kids busy while the grown ups sat around the fire pit. The inside was clean and had a lot of cute antique touches throughout. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything you could need and more. The beds were very comfy and the neighborhood was quiet. walking distance to everything! We'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Heron House with some friends for Memorial Day weekend! Kathy made everything seamless, and the home had historic charm and was comfortable. We spent much time on the lovely porch and enjoyed being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go! Thanks for a great stay!

The house was very nice, it was cleaned very well when we got there and there were plenty of amenities for everyone. The beach is accessible with maybe a two minute walk. The area is pretty, we saw horseshoe crabs and jellyfish at the beach, and the neighbors are friendly. The jellies can sting, but the kind of jellyfish here are painless enough that I initially thought I got bumped into by a floating stick, and the locals at the beach completely ignored the one in the water. The nearby restaurant/bar stays pretty busy, but it’s really nice as well.
