Entire family size house steps to ANC & metro walk

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Given graduation on the East coast, location in Arlington/proximity to Georgetown, size and location of Tyler’s home, the value was worth the price! Coming from the Midwest, all was intimidating at first, but we wanted a comfortable, substantial place that would provide true bedroom spaces and adequate bathrooms for each pairing in the family. Tyler’s place did that plus offered two living areas, a large dining and spacious kitchen for conversation, food spread, cooking, mingling, celebrating, etc. We couldn’t have been more pleased with all of the spaces!

Family friendly charming 3BR House on The Point

TrevorRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our 2nd time staying here because we loved the place so much, and Kathryn was always responsive when we had a question about the home. Our daughters love all of the toys and the spaciousness of the home. We love it because it was clean and had everything we need there. The home is in a very walkable and beautiful neighborhood. The beach and restaurants are a short 10 minute walk with a restaurant and great brewery even closer. Again, it was very hard to get our daughters to leave. They constantly kept saying β€œI love this house and don’t want to go”. We highly recommend staying here if you want an enjoyable and peaceful place to stay in historic Colonial Beach.

Urban Paradise (with a Surprise inside!)

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a wonderful time and the house is absolutely beautiful. Shane did a wonderful renovation and the house is very impressive. From the kitchen to the rooftop deck to the library and everything in between is very comfortable and I recommend staying at this location if you’re visiting Washington. Located close to The attractions and government buildings. There is a gas station next-door on the corner, which attracts noise during the night and on Saturday night we heard a lot of ambulances sirens and loud music and people arguing but in all fairness that could just have been a one off. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. The view on the rooftop is beautiful being able to see the capital building and the Washington monument.

The Watson House

TamraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend with our family at The Watson House. The home is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and a great space to explore. Whether you are rocking on the front porch, sitting by the fire pit, taking a break on the comfortable sofa or relaxing in the great beds you are resting and enjoying the time. We saw birds, a fox, squirrels, a deer and Oliver, the friendly cat from next door. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and more. There are lot of options in the area: wineries, shops, animal farms/parks and the historic Mt. Zion Baptist Church from the civil war era. Or you can just stay in and play cards, work a puzzle, visit or throw a frisbee on the lovely lawn. Brad and Erin are very responsive and helpful to make your stay the best it can be. And of course it is amazing that you are staying in a restored house from 1880 that is fully comfortable for all your needs. I can't recommend The Watson House highly enough . . . A+++!

This was a great English basement apartment for our small family. You can tell a lot of love was put into making it kid-friendly. We thought this was a great, comfortable space with a close walk to the buses on 14 or 16 for us. It was very cozy and comfortable and we’d absolutely visit again if the stars aligned.

Reba's Retreat - Large 1BR Rental w Free Parking

LisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Laura and Pat were super communicative. They let us know about community events happening and we were really appreciative of the parking space. Their place was within walking distance to the metro. We did hear their little guys running around (usually around 7am which was when we get up anyhow) and then again in the evening until around 8:30. It didn’t bother us at all, but might be bothersome to others. She mentioned this in the listing though. The bathroom was tight and shared with all four of us, but we made it work. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Flint Hill Bright and Spacious Basement Apt, WiFi

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The walk-out basement unit was clean, spacious and suited our needs perfectly for the week stay. One issue was that being a large basement unit with no heating control it was rather cold in mid-April. However, we did find a space heater in the laundry area to warm up the bedroom so we managed. Overall a good ABNB experience and would certainly book again if visiting the area.

We stayed here while visiting grandchildren in the area. The location was perfect because we could walk to their house. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. There was a parking space available, which was appreciated. Courtney was there when we arrived and was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of clean towels. We would stay there again.

Cap Hill/H Street...Entire Apartment

JennyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Adam’s place fit our requirement for a 2 bedroom, separate bathroom, kitchen and laundry, on Capital Hill for a 5 day holiday with 3 adults. The beds were comfortable, linen ok and the air con whisper quiet. It’s a bit dark being a basement unit but has windows in the 2 bedrooms and living room. We occasionally left the door open for more light, being spring. Because it’s basement you do hear intermittent foot sounds above but it stopped at night and didnt start up again until late morning. The tv lounge fitted 3 comfortably. We used our own streaming accounts. Some floor tiles are a bit chipped and I would have loved a more powerful hairdryer. Adam was responsive to our questions. We found the whole area delightful with its charming old terrace houses, gardens, dense trees and quiet streets. An easy walk to union station, grocery shopping and eats on H/8th NE or bars 3rd/ D NE. A pleasant walk to monuments and great restaurants in Stanton Park and East Markets, or Uber

Perfect spot and highly recommended for visiting the area that is dotted with well restored vintage homes, massive oaks, and beautiful gardens. I have stayed in this same building a few times, but this was my first time at Mark's as I needed a 2nd bedroom. It is a great location with very easy access to the metro (only about 15-20 minutes to DC) and great restaurants & grocery options. Mark's apartment is just as described. Very comfortable bed and great decor throughout. He was incredibly responsive and gave detailed instructions to get in the apartment and about how things work. I highly recommend his place!!
